08/07/2025: Really great! Lots of gluten-free options, beautiful place and friendly service. We enjoyed the coffee, ice cream, cannoli and the cozy atmosphere. I got a few delicious things to taste from the 2 lovely ladies. They should have this in the Netherlands too!! We will definitely come back to Franco La Bella ❤️

08/07/2025: We stopped for a coffee and tried the pistachio and chocolate ice cream. The service was exquisite and the ice cream was delicious! With the coffee, they brought us some sweet treats to try.

21/06/2025: Friday evening I was in this tavern recommended by the owner of the residence where we were staying .. first of all the excellent welcome seasoned with the friendliness of the lady and the young waitress ... we started with a wonderful seafood appetizer of all kinds (fresh, good, cooked and looked after with skill and love by the chef) followed by a plate of mezz'paccheri with local pistachio sauce (I don't remember) and since it was the last day of our stay we delighted our taste buds and also our palate with a very delicate local cannoli .... so you absolutely have to try this place and you won't regret it ..... oh I forgot excellent quality/price of the series see to believe carlo amd company verona

05/06/2025: English: A place found at the last minute, even if Sciacca is a seaside town, we opted for meat, we were welcomed very well by the host, we asked for mixed grill meat platters, with delicious sheep skewers, everything excellent, tasty and cooked to perfection, we added very dry French fries and grilled vegetables appreciated by everyone, given the rushed transit, we did not order alcoholic drinks but only water and a bottle of coke, the place is very clean with adequate spaces, a single bathroom also for disabled people very clean, there is no smell of food at all as often happens in other places, the place is provided by an outdoor space where there are tables and chairs for lunch outside, we really appreciated the hospitality offered to us by the owner and the staff, punctual service without long waits, we did not order premium cuts of meat of various ages, but normal platters, adequate price per couple, once again an infinite thank you for the service offered by the host and the room attendant, well done everyone 👏👏👏👏👏👏

01/06/2025: Definitely worth a visit if you like meat. I had the 500g Angus steak. It was perfect, just the way I wanted it. In the end, it was "almost" too much of a good thing! The two young men who ran the place were really friendly, occasionally asked questions without being intrusive, and had time for a little chat. If I'm ever back in Sicily, I'll go back. By the way, €25 for this piece of meat with a side dish was more than reasonable.

The idea of ​​making the pizzas small is good, because in this way my wife and I took 3 pizzas and we were able to taste an extra flavor. The only flaw is that there were some ants near the table, but being outdoors it can happen... I would go back!

08/07/2025: Avoid this place, not so much for the pizza itself, which is small, but for the rudeness of the cashier, who was already rude when taking my order. Then, while I was paying for two takeout pizzas, he got a call and left us standing there with the pizzas and money in hand, walking out. Professionalism under the radar. In Sciacca, you can get good pizza elsewhere without having to put up with the rudeness and disrespect of certain people.

15/06/2025: L'endroit est élégant, idyllique et apaisant. L'accueil sympathique. Les plats gastronomiques sont bons. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Propositions d'accord mets et vins. L'huile d'olive est dingue! Nous sommes repartis avec de l'huile d'olive et des bouteilles de vins de la région.

05/06/2025: If you are in the area, I cannot recommend the wine tasting enough! Barbara was so lovely and knowledgable and shared so much information about the vineyard and each of the wines. After the tour we tasted 4 of the wines and had some Sicilian Street food which was amazing! We loved the wine so much that we bought some to take home with us and also enjoyed a bottle or two in the terrace area. Gorgeous setting, lovely staff and brilliant wine!

But let's get to the most important thing: the food. Without exaggeration, the meal was a delight for the palate! Every dish was full of flavor and prepared with love. It's obvious that the food is cooked with passion and uses fresh, high-quality ingredients. The only minor drawback was that the service could be better. While the staff was friendly, there were times when we felt a bit forgotten. This didn't significantly detract from the overall experience, but there is definitely room for improvement. Nevertheless: If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a charming setting and can overlook minor service glitches, you should definitely visit Osteria Il Commensale. The food alone is worth the visit!
