Bar Ristorante Chisonetto

01/02/2026: Last night we celebrated our birthday at Baita Chisonetto and had a really great time. They took us to the refuge on snowmobiles, and we stayed there for aperitifs, dinner, and post-dinner drinks, and the atmosphere was fantastic.
The location is stunning, with a view of the mountains that alone is worth the visit.
The food was delicious, everything was carefully prepared and tasty.
The staff was super kind and helpful, and even provided us with speakers to play music after dinner.
Perfect place to spend a lovely evening with friends and celebrate. Thanks to Francesco and the whole team! ⛰️🍷🎉
21/01/2026: We stopped by for the first time on Sunday, stopping off during a day of skiing. The service, friendliness, and quality were five-star; the bombardino was delicious, the best I've ever tried. We asked the owner if he could organize dinner for our group there in the cabin, with snowmobile transport. He was incredibly kind, and even though we were only nine people, he organized the evening. Luckily, there was another group there too. It was an unforgettable evening. The atmosphere was pleasant, and everything we ate was excellent. We'll definitely be back for a break today.
Thanks to all the staff for the evening they organized for us. If you come to Sestriere, you absolutely have to stop by Chisonetto.

23/09/2025: Tried it on the evening of September 19, 2025.
The restaurant is located in the quaint little village of Champlas Janvier, in the former stables of a beautifully renovated chalet.
The interior is very welcoming and tasteful.
The owner welcomed us with great courtesy and friendliness.
After a complimentary aperitif, we had appetizers of raw meat carpaccio and a salad of celery, walnuts, and parmesan shavings. Everything was excellent.
We continued with superb homemade cheese gnocchi and a seasonal soup.
For dessert, a chestnut parfait was also excellent.
We left very satisfied.
We will definitely return to try other dishes in such a comfortable setting.

03/11/2025: I've never stayed here, as I live nearby, but the food deserves five stars: everything (including the stuffed pasta) is always fresh, homemade, and delicious. It's family-run, the atmosphere is informal, and the menu is limited, but varies daily based on the freshest ingredients. Great attention is paid to customer needs and intolerances. The portions are generous and the prices are very fair. In short, a rare find, excellent, and truly authentic osteria.

23/11/2025: We found this place by chance, opposite the parking lot where we left our car upon arriving in Sestriere. Despite the low season, the menu had a wide selection of dishes, and everything was excellent. The service was excellent, and the staff were very welcoming. The prices were average, very fair. I'll definitely be back when I pass through here again.
16/08/2025: A lovely bar where you can also eat. The aperitifs and desserts are delicious, and the staff is always friendly. There's also the option of sitting at the tables outside on the lawn, which is especially welcome during this time of year.

28/12/2025: Full stars for a super-delicious pastry shop. Dinner with friends and a mandatory stop at La Dolce Vita. They have everything, and everything is delicious. We ordered the individual mixed pastries and devoured them. A pleasant surprise because they also have many gluten-free flavors: tiramisu, triple chocolate, and many more. We didn't have to try the Sacher torte (they say it's amazing). Maybe next time.

05/01/2026: Zero consideration, after sitting for 20 minutes we left because we were completely ignored. The cabin was blacklisted.
22/12/2025: Excellent food, friendly staff, beautiful surroundings.
Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail, from the beautifully furnished and well-maintained refuge, to the filtered water included in the price, to the homemade bread and pasta.
It was no coincidence that it was packed despite the surrounding slopes being closed (thus remaining somewhat hidden from the others).

05/01/2026: The best in Sestriere, where you can enjoy excellent pizza, polenta, and much more. They also offer excellent aperitifs with a wide variety of cocktails and a vast and impressive wine cellar, both in terms of quality and selection. Definitely worth a try!

Bar Ristorante Monte Rotta

07/01/2026: We go to Bar Ristorante Monte Rotta every year, and it's always a guaranteed success. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and make you feel right at home.
The food is excellent: everything is truly delicious, from the ravioli al plin, to the veal with tuna sauce, to the gnocchi, with authentic flavors and generous portions.
It's a place we always love to return to, both summer and winter, and we recommend it without hesitation.
