01/02/2026: A typical Piedmontese restaurant with a good-old-fashioned atmosphere. The portions aren't generous, but you'll leave feeling more than satisfied.
The price is fair for the quality.
We'll definitely return.
29/01/2026: We've been coming to this restaurant for years and always have a great experience: excellent traditional Piedmontese food, friendly service, and fair prices. We've always opted for the tasting menu and have never been disappointed. On certain days (e.g., Epiphany), they occasionally offer off-menu items depending on the season. The wine list is very good. In short, a guarantee.

26/12/2025: We stayed at Cioccolocanda during the Christmas holidays, taking advantage of the "Chocolate Contamination" package. It was a truly pleasant experience.
The inn is a truly simple and dated place, but very welcoming. All the staff were kind, helpful, and welcoming.
The museum tour was very enjoyable, accompanied by tastings of various chocolates and more.
Mr. Bessone proved to be very knowledgeable, and the chocolate cake-making class was very interesting. The chef's willingness to lead the class, despite the minimum number of participants, was noteworthy. This kindness was truly appreciated.
The dinner was truly hearty and tasty. The cocoa pairings of the various dishes were much appreciated.
The Cioccobagno, an immersion in chocolate, was wonderful. A truly unforgettable 360° sensory experience!
To conclude the stay, a generous sweet breakfast with various types of cakes and pastries. A true treat.
An experience definitely worth repeating.

17/01/2026: We only had New Year's Eve dinner, and I have to say it was a perfect evening. The place was obviously packed, but the service was fast and attentive. The girls were always available and smiling. The food was excellent and varied. At the end, since we wanted to go to the square for midnight and not spend it at the restaurant, a very kind lady gave us a bottle of sparkling wine before we left. These things make all the difference.
13/01/2026: We celebrated New Year's Eve at the hotel, only for dinner on New Year's Eve 2025. The dinner was not good at all. The price was good for New Year's Eve, and the quality/price ratio was poor. I wouldn't recommend it for New Year's Eve. Only the food.

09/01/2026: The wait staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming. They don't even speak the Piedmontese dialect, and despite their haughty demeanor, the place couldn't even begin to compare with Turin's historic cafes. A disappointing experience in every way. Absolutely not recommended. Furthermore, the waitress's behavior and appearance were such that they caused confusion about her gender identity, but what really struck me was the complete lack of professionalism.

02/01/2026: Terrible and completely unacceptable experience.
On December 4, I booked a table for three people for the evening of December 19. The evening of our reservation, we showed up promptly to find the restaurant closed, without any warning or communication.
We called the owner to ask for an explanation and were told he was out of the office, that he hadn't recorded our reservation, and, even worse, after we pointed this out, he hung up on us with total rudeness and disrespect.
This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially for someone who runs a business open to the public. Total disorganization, zero professionalism, and no attention to the customer.
I strongly advise against this place. A ruined evening and no apology!!!

30/12/2025: I'm giving it 1 star because I can't give zero!
I'll tell you about the entire Christmas lunch, where there was nothing positive:
First of all, we ate in the cold, some of us wearing jackets, until my 80-year-old grandmother asked for the heating to be turned up.
Let's move on to the food:
Set menu €43, drinks not included.
We arrived and found some snacks on the table (focaccia, pizzas, and bread with toppings... the latter was dry). We helped ourselves with our hands because there were no tongs.
The first appetizers arrived: mediocre or even inedible dishes, like the cabbage capunet, which tasted like hospital food because it had no flavor and was completely devoid of salt.
The main courses, moreover, were meager.
My husband asked for chili peppers to put on the first course, and the waiter brought him two whole chili peppers that we had to chop with a knife (who knows?).
For the main course, a roast from the day before with yellowish cream passed off as a Nebbiolo-flavored fillet steak, accompanied by two slices of tasteless potato wedges and two raw carrots.
Finally, the desserts: edible semifreddo, a bunet that arrived looking already chewed (I've attached a photo), and a panettone that was also bad.
No prosecco to toast. No amaro offered.
The bathroom was obviously colder than the rest of the place.
The bill started even more painfully: from €43, we ended up paying €56 per person, or €180 excluding drinks: about €90 in total for three bottles of wine, as per the price list... and where did we spend the other €90, considering we ordered about 10 bottles of water worth €3 each and eight coffees (which arrived cold, by the way)?
The owner gave us a confusing bill, and after we left, he and the waiter began arguing and yelling at each other, one blaming the other for not charging the €43 to the 7-year-old girl who ate practically nothing.
DO NOT EAT THERE, YOU CAN STILL! They ruined our Christmas lunch.

22/12/2024: Visitato oggi dopo aver prenotato al telefono in settimana.
Locale accogliente ,caldo e pulito .
Menu a prezzo fisso( onestissimo ) ricco ed abbondante,e tutte le portate, già di per sé generose ,sono state offerte almeno 2 volte .
Ottimo cibo ,genuino, in un ambiente famigliare .
La polenta con i porri ,l' arrosto con i funghi e le tagliatelle col sugo di coniglio ,indimenticabili.
Torneremo presto .

02/08/2025: .. è sempre un piacere tornare in questo locale.. Personale molto cortese, cibo ottimo. Un' atmosfera particolare che ti fa senire in famiglia e con la voglia di tornarci. Ci abbiamo portato due nostri amici che sono rimasti affascinati. Assolutamente da provare e ci tornerete sicuramente,
25/05/2025: Attirati dalle recensioni più che positive ci rechiamo in questo locale con buone aspettative. Appena entrati percorriamo un corridoio delimitato a lato da un lungo banco frigo eve sono conservati cibi freddi (antipasti?) già impiattati dall'aspetto poco invitante. Perché non prepararli al momento?
Raggiunta la sala da pranzo ordiniamo il piatto del giorno consigliato dalla cameriera : acciughe fritte e panisse.
Delusione sia per il gusto di pesce conservato delle acciughe ( 6 in tutto), sia per le panisse che sapevano di niente.
Alla cassa questo piatto verrà calcolato con un costo di 15 euro!! Passiamo così alla pizza. La pasta dura con un bordo secco, poco condita con un pomodoro dal retrogusto acido ma molto salato.
Unico aspetto positivo la gentilezza del personale. Non ci torneremo.

11/05/2024: Tutti i ristoranti della Val Corsaglia sono di ottima qualità, ma il Corsaglia è assolutamente outstanding.
Ho la casa a Corsaglia, conosco bene e ceniamo spesso in questo ristorante che ha conservato la tradizione delle trattorie degli anni sessanta.
Posso dire con certezza che è uno dei migliori del Piemonte, insieme alla caffè osteria Bertaina di Mondovì Piazza.
Ho visto dei commenti negativi, anche sul servizio, con i quali non mi ritrovo.
Consigliato per tutto
05/05/2024: Siamo andati a pranzo con la famiglia; ricordavo una esperienza piacevole, che ci ha convinto a tornare in questo posto sicuramente “fuori mano” che si i raggiunge poco una strada a curve e dista una mezz’ora da Mondovì. Trattasi di un locale molto semplice, con un arredamento quasi modesto; in particolare nella giornata della nostra visita non era particolarmente affollato essendo i tavoli (non tutti occupati) molto distanziati. Il cibo servito e’ stato accettabile, senza nulla di particolare, né per la tipologia del piatto, né per la qualità della cucina, tanto da giustificare la visita. Ottimo il rapporto qualità prezzo. Purtroppo il comportamento della proprietaria, che serve in tavola, è stato gravemente inappropriato: mentre cercavo di ordinare i piatti, e chiedevo che un primo venisse servito insieme agli antipasti, mi ha zittita con arroganza dicendo che lo sapeva lei. Poco dopo si è avvicinata al tavolo e a voce alta, tanto da far girare i vicini, ha chiesto se eravamo noi, enunciando il cognome; a quel punto con il tono arrogante ha ricordato che eravamo in quattro ed avevamo prenotato per sei, così da costringerla a mandare via delle persone. Mio marito ha ricordato che forse pensavamo di essere in sei quando aveva prenotato, e si è scusato, ciò non è stato sufficiente perché la proprietaria ha ribadito quanto detto. Il comportamento della proprietaria, sicuramente immotivato, esagerato ha avuto la conseguenza di turbare il nostro pranzo. In conclusione, per un pranzo appena sufficiente per quanto a buon prezzo non vale la pena fare dei chilometri di curve per essere trattati con arroganza e prepotenza.

07/04/2025: Il posto che non ti aspetti un piccolo bar trasformato in bistro che offre una cucina elaborata strutturata è decisamente interessante piatto unico rotolino di frittata e insalata russa servito in maniera impeccabile sia a livello visivo che livello gustativo carta dei vini molto ampia c’è da divertirsi con tante belle etichette Correttissimo rapporto qualità prezzo
11/01/2025: Un indirizzo positivo, con cucina tradizionale ed alcune varianti sul tema gradevoli ed apprezzate. Buona la presentazione dei piatti. Alcune segnalazioni: le tigelle con lardo, i tajarin con ragù della casa, gli gnocchi al castelmagno. Prezzi orientati verso l'alto, servizio da migliorare (un po' approssimativo). Ampio parcheggio adiacente, Santuario di Vicoforte raggiungibile a piedi.
