05/05/2025: Delicious Italian pizza. Straight from the oven!
I found this place by accident, finding it on Google maps. The place downstairs only has takeaways, while upstairs there are two large rooms, so it's very easy to find the Table. The menu has a lot of variations of pizzas. Everything is served fresh and with heart. I took salami, gorgonzola and asked for extra burate. Because this is my favorite combination🥰
I got a pizza very hot, straight from the oven, delicious, great baked!
at the end I had a very nice chat with the owner and waitresses, in perfect English! So you can see that everyone is very engaged!
I'll definitely come back!

30/04/2025: Unfortunately we went for dinner on a Saturday... very long waiting times, after two hours we were the first ones. We canceled the second order, paid and left. Good food, I'll be back this week to give it another chance!!!!!! I recommend... do take away but on Saturdays until 7.30pm, then if you have a completely full room give priority to the room!!!!
27/04/2025: Booked for 7 people. At 7.30pm we sit at the table, order drinks, appetizers, first courses, second courses, side dishes.
9.00pm only appetizers arrived, one every 10 minutes.. practically one ate and the others watched.
And nothing...exhausted from the wait we got up and left the place. To be fair, we paid for what we consumed (drinks and appetizers). Goodbye... or rather adios!!

10/12/2024: Nice people and good pizza, they also do home delivery and at lunch they also have ready meals. They're here when it's supposed to be open and it's closed... They could have put up a notice. I wonder what the real opening hours are!

16/05/2025: Cenare al Il Cavallino è sempre un’esperienza gratificante; non è solo cenare in un bel ristorante gustando un buon cibo, ma sperimentare un’avventura enogastronomica unica, guidati dalla maestria dello chef Stefano e dalla professionalità del maître Giuseppe. L’accuratezza nella presentazione dei piatti, la ricerca degli abbinamenti, la qualità delle materie prime, l’ abbinamento dei vini… senza dimenticare il pane, che è molto di più. Cosa dire? Il Cavallino è sempre una certezza. 👏
14/05/2025: We often go there for lunch break at work, the restaurant has 2 menus, one à la carte and one fixed, generous and good portions, impeccable service from the girls and boys in the dining room, very fast preparation of the dishes and more than fair prices. I recommend

12/04/2025: Pizza con tante tipologie d’impasto, tutte buone, personale molto cordiale e vino mediocre. Il costo equo adeguato alle portate.
04/02/2025: Capitati qui per caso. Appena seduti ci hanno portato dei piccoli crostini di apetizer. Molto buoni!
Decidiamo di ordinare due pizze, 1 acqua e un piatto di patatine.
Leggo il menu: Margherita 6,50 - mantovana 12 - patatine 4,50.
Ci viene richiesto che tipo di impasto volevamo e io rispondo "classico" in quanto avevo intuito che la scelta dell'impasto sarebbe stata a pagamento e non mi interessava. Il cameriere mi risponde "ah allora il napoli". Io un pò a disagio nel chiedere se fosse a pagamento annuisco chiedendo anche "ma é obbligatoria la scelta dell'impasto?" e non ricevo risposta. Alla fine il conto: Margherita 8,50 - montanara 14 - patatine 6. Intuisco che gli impasti avevano un supplemento di 2euro a pizza.
Do due stelle solo perché la pizza era veramente ottima, ma comunque non ci tornerei.
Non ho ancora capito ora come mai ho pagato quel prezzo per le patatine.....
Premetto che nel menù vi era l'indicazione del supplemento per i vari impasti, ma da come lo ha richiesto il cameriere non era chiaro e io mi sentivo a disagio a chiedere.
Suggerirei al titolare di indicare al suo personale di comunicare quando le cose sono a pagamento e soprattutto se vi é un'altra scelta (cosa che comunque non ho capito). Prezzi troppo alti per la zona.

22/03/2025: In viaggio da Genova per una serata a Teatro abbiamo prenotato in questo locale ed e' stata una piacevolissima scoperta !! Abbiamo mangiato pizza ed era veramente buona ( una delle migliori degli ultimi tempi ) panna cotta buonissima e un caffè macchiato ... Addirittura il caffè era buonissimo la schiumetta mai trovata così ben fatta in un bar .... Quindi consigliatissimo per me !
18/01/2025: Un ottimo locale nel centro di Tortona, con materie prima di alta qualità, dolci spettacolari!
Altamente però delusa dal riscaldamento, praticamente inesistente, abbiamo cenato al freddo.
Ritornerò ma non in inverno!
