Bar Ristorante Adria
Pontestura
20/10/2024: We go there often and every time it's a wonderful surprise, excellent cuisine, very kind and knowledgeable staff, the chef is a bomb, highly recommended
04/10/2024: In the historic center of Pontestura, a short distance from the Town Hall, there is this restaurant with a slightly shabby chic look. I had been there years ago, and upon returning I found that the food is always good. Excellent traditional agnolotti.
The menu is a little awkward: a blackboard on an easel that is carried in procession to the various tables... but it's more the waitress' problem than mine.
Quiet place to eat and chat

Belvedere
Pontestura
06/08/2024: Excellent place, very nice both in service and location.
The Piedmontese starter was excellent, the venison steak with raspberries was good but a little overcooked. The mango panna cotta and bunet are excellent. Fantastic wine list!
02/08/2024: Excellent quality of dinner and beautiful place with absolutely acceptable prices

Ristorante Casa Anna
Pontestura
12/09/2023: In our opinion, one of the most noteworthy restaurants in the Monferrato Casalese (and beyond): managed by a husband and wife with extensive experience in running a historic restaurant in the area. Now, within the structure that includes their home, they have created a welcoming environment with only three large round tables (in addition to a small veranda outside, which we didn't see in use). Meals are prepared in a professionally equipped kitchen where he is the sole protagonist, while she serves the customers in the dining room. The establishment can accommodate only a few diners and is open from Thursday to Saturday evenings, as well as for Sunday lunch.
The cuisine served here is of a high standard and reflects extraordinary passion. The dishes are prepared on the spot using excellent raw materials, with choices tied to the local area but executed with creativity and reinterpretation, albeit not in a sophisticated manner. Outstanding items on the menu include the rabbit tuna, Fassona beef tartare, pork "tonnato" (in place of veal), vegan "agnolotti del plin," tagliolini with ragù, duck leg, and guinea fowl. All the desserts we tried were excellent, including the ice creams. The amuse-bouche and pre-dessert were delightful. The wine list is extensive, which is surprising for such a small establishment.
You'll need to search for Casa Anna, as it's located on a secondary road, but it's a visit you won't forget. Prices are commensurate with what is offered, so they are higher than the local average but well-deserved.
