Buongusto da Tigros

Gerenzano
11/10/2025: Supermarket with excellent products, sushi counter, fishmonger, butcher, delicatessen
01/10/2025: The Tigros supermarket chain is now widespread, and the facilities are well-organized, with stores ranging in size from small to large. Products range from popular brands to local ones, including the company's own brand. There are permanent spaces with promotional items after the produce section, specifically at this store, and at the ends of the aisles. The fresh produce section offers a good variety, with a variety of products that are different from other retail chains. There is also a sushi corner here in Gerenzano, and the food court is complete, serving breakfast through lunch. Generally, the so-called quality/price ratio is good, if not excellent, considering the almost constant price increases at other large-scale retailers. As always, visiting is the best way to see for yourself. The parking lot is ample, with both outdoor and indoor parking available. Charging stations for electric vehicles are also available.

Ristorante Croce d'Oro

Gerenzano
23/03/2025: Situated right on the Varesina state road, this elegant establishment stands behind a sumptuous wrought-iron gate. This restaurant is housed in a sumptuous residence dating back to the second half of the 19th century. The restaurant offers a captivating blend of history and modernity. Guests are greeted formally by a very gracious staff member, who offers an unusual and highly appreciated tasting of the owners' own olive oil produced in the Val d'Orcia. A tasty and unexpected aperitif was also offered, a delightful prelude to a wonderful dinner. The chef, worthy of the most renowned Michelin-starred restaurants, is dedicated to satisfying the most sophisticated palates with delicate dishes that are both visually delightful and truly enchanting. White reigns supreme, dominating both the interior dining room and the outdoor patio, contrasting here with the pleasantly dated flooring featuring dark brown accents. The establishment is surrounded by greenery, so much so that from the outside, the presence of the road is almost forgotten. My need for gluten- and lactose-free cuisine was fully met without the slightest hesitation, without compromising the flavor or beauty of the dishes. There is free parking outside on the opposite side of the street, and parking is available inside the building. There are three steps to the entrance. I recommend a small ramp for wheelchair users and strollers, if you don't have one. For anyone looking for a quiet, elegant, and romantic location, I highly recommend it. Personally, I will definitely be back. Thank you for the delightful experience, your courtesy, and your helpfulness. Tiziana
