05/07/2025: A true gem with a fun approach through a spillway. But now to the real deal: The location, hidden in the undergrowth, is a highlight in itself. The waitresses welcome you as warmly as if you were already a regular 💗. I think the menu has something for everyone. The value for money is absolutely reasonable. I had the venison goulash, my husband the lamb chops – both with polenta taragna – an absolute recommendation! If you want something spectacular, order a meat skewer for two people, which is served hanging on a rack – a true dining experience 😂 We love the place! Reservations are recommended.

17/06/2025: Very nice spot with a view of the lake. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the ravioli in zucchini sauce. The service was also excellent and super friendly. We are very satisfied :).

15/06/2025: Super positive experience! The restaurant overlooks the lake and is a nice place. The staff is young, very friendly and nice. The drinks are very good. Even the fish-based dishes we chose were delicious and the portions were generous. The tiramisu was also good!

22/06/2025: We came at 18:30 without a réservation we got offered a table near the bar it was loud meanwhile there was enough free tables on the Terrasse after we left. the waitress was not friendly and a part of the staff were stressed and let bottles fall on the ground.We got there just moments after the opening still fish was not available.i ordered a medium Steak I got medium rare without any garniture so i ordered a polenta . the taste was ok and the meat fresh. One waitress tried to be nice the other one just through the dishes on the table. If you want a relaxed nice restaurant experience at Lake Como I don’t recommend this restaurant

18/06/2025: Very good food. The menu isn't very extensive, but there should be something for everyone. The dishes are something different than pizza and pasta. We really enjoyed our meal. Reservations are a good idea; we arrived at the restaurant at 7 p.m. and managed to get a table for two people. Later on, it's difficult without a reservation. Unfortunately, the service staff was very stressed. We sat in the entrance area and felt like we had to finish our food quickly so that the waiting guests could get our table.

08/07/2025: Fantastic location overlooking the lake, just brilliant and the restaurant is very nicely laid out to enjoy the scenery , the service is also very good, quick, attentive but oh my god the food is bad (for Italian standards - if you are from abroad it will be awesome all round)

07/07/2025: The restaurant is located near the beach of the same name (Ontano beach), with plenty of seating outside and several indoor tables. It has an excellent view of the lake and the mountains. It is well organized and clean despite the many people who frequent it. The staff is courteous, smiling. We took the pizza, outside in the open air. Very good. Good value for money.

08/07/2025: Exceptional restaurant! Very few like it remain! Dinner featuring spaghetti allo scoglio, undoubtedly among the best I've ever tasted. Generous portions and excellent value. We sincerely hope this isn't, as has unfortunately been announced, the restaurant's last season for non-hotel guests. It would be a real shame to lose a little gem like this restaurant, with its fabulous view and sunset over the upper Lario. We would definitely return without hesitation, especially considering the very kind and courteous staff.

01/07/2025: This review is specifically for the restaurant. Friendly and accommodating staff, fantastic food. We were 4 adults and 2 children - we felt welcomed and enjoyed our evening. Highly recommend for dinner (you may need a reservation) and would return.

03/05/2025: The hotel is located directly on Lake Como. The rooms are simply furnished, but nothing is damaged and very clean. There's nothing to complain about at breakfast either, there's enough choice and something for everyone. The staff is very friendly and accommodating! There is also a free parking lot at the hotel.

28/06/2025: We stayed at Locanda Capolago for 3 nights and were thrilled. The restaurant is truly excellent: refined dishes, well executed and simply delicious. Almost the entire menu is naturally gluten-free, and this is precisely the reason that pushed us to choose this structure, in addition to the fact that it was an excellent starting point to continue our motorcycle trip. The hotel is very well-kept. The rooms are tidied up very quickly while you are having breakfast, and every day all the products used are refilled (soap, cotton buds, etc.), in addition to a complete change of towels. There is no minibar in the room, but in the small hall you can freely take bottles of fresh water: a rare and truly appreciated attention! The breakfast is excellent, with dishes prepared on the spot, also in gluten-free version. I loved the pancakes (not gluten-free), but there was really a choice for all tastes. The staff is very kind and we felt at home. Only note to consider: the location is not central compared to other areas of the lake. Colico is quite isolated for those who follow a gluten-free diet: during the day the restaurant was closed we had to reach Lecco for dinner, and for lunch we often moved towards the Lecco-Como area. For us, even traveling by motorbike, it was a bit inconvenient. Having said that, for the quality of the welcome, the services and the restaurant, the Locanda Capolago undoubtedly deserves 5 stars!

20/06/2025: We went to the inn for dinner after being contacted by a guy who was advertising along the lake and promising us a 10% discount. I will start by saying that after seeing the menu with first courses starting at €23 we wanted to get up but we said "let's try, they will be special dishes". Expensive seafood salad with little fish, then a long wait of almost 40 minutes before receiving our two different first courses. The square spaghetti with clams was actually good, and the 2 stars are only for them. We didn't even touch the paccheri vecchio, the pride of the place. It is unacceptable that a €23 dish is so poor in fish (prawns) and simply stained with sauce and 2 cherry tomatoes. Of course he didn't take the dish into account. The promised 10% discount was not applied. It's a shame because we went there with great expectations.

05/07/2025: Pleasant sitting under the plane trees. We had spaghetti ala carbonara, which of course saw the pancetta from the express. Out of 6 portions, it was visible in one. Bland in taste, pancetta was noticeably missing. This really didn't work. Next was spaghetti with seafood. Unfortunately, no miracle here either. Like significantly better than carbonara, but here the bar is damn low....

02/05/2025: Buono il caffè e il cappuccino. Assolutamente inaccettabili i pasticcini, mai freschi. Ho provato più volte pensando sempre di aver scelto proprio l'unico dolce non fresco, ma ora non ci provo più. Sarebbe meglio tenere meno assortimento ma fresco, piuttosto che montagne di pasticcini vecchi.
