24/03/2025: Our favorite place for many years. Exceptional food with raw materials of excellent quality and authenticity, I recommend gnocchetti pizzocherati and meat.
The environment is special, a little house among the trees in the middle of nowhere.
23/03/2025: I had dinner on Friday evening with colleagues and I must say that it was an excellent choice.
This place is a real gem! It is located in a farmhouse dating back to 1803 (unbelievable stuff!) and as soon as you enter you are enchanted by the exposed wooden beams and stone walls. The atmosphere is the right one, warm and welcoming, perfect for melting away the tensions of the week.
We did the most sensible thing: make a menu proposed by them to share! The dishes were fabulous and the mixed grill.... my goodness, how delicious!
The staff deserves a special mention: Super!! Kind, smiling and prepared.
The prices? Very honest, considering the quality of the food!.

03/11/2024: Magic happens in this little ice cream shop 😄, an excellent product served by a good guy. The colic cream is very good. In my opinion, however, it should find a slightly larger place, it seems a bit sacrificed in terms of space. Bear in mind that I stayed in Colico for an extra hour to taste it, not because it wasn't good but because the ice cream was wonderful. Bye, see you next time.🍦🍧🍨

02/03/2025: I've known this restaurant for more than 10 years, never had any bad surprises, very rustic location near the lake, excellent quality food, local products. In my opinion the best pizzoccheri I have ever eaten with a rich and balanced taste, staff always very courteous and welcoming, normal price but excellent value for money. I always come back willingly. Dinner as a couple we ordered a house starter but it's fine to divide between two, a first course always shared, a taroz and two tagliatelle, wine, water and coffee. We spent a total of €85 what more could you want.

09/03/2025: Grilled meat and Spontini-style pizza by the slice. Definitely better than Spontini, softer dough, crunchy and dry base, without oil, fiordilatte mozzarella. Monumental XXL slice. If I consider Spontini the best pizza by the slice in Milan, Love Pizza's is the best pizza by the slice I have ever eaten.
09/03/2025: Very nice grill-bar design. The food was excellent. I'm older, but I like modern and youthful restaurants like this.

15/03/2025: Sono stats con un'amica e abbiamo usufruito dell'omaggio di 1l di Sangria, che era ottima, abbiamo ordinato la focaccia che ci è stata portata al tavolo su un carrellino,ed era veramente buonissima. Personale molto cortese. Ci tornerò sicuramente per provare le altre proposte, tutte molto invitanti.

We had a very short stop but for those who want tranquility and the possibility of taking walks on the lake it is perfect.
Holiday hotel.
The rooms are large and well organized, as well as clean. The large and well-equipped bathrooms (all the useful kits are provided separately if necessary). The hotel is quiet (we slept well) and in the morning the surprise is the breakfast room with an entire glass wall overlooking the lake.
Varied breakfast for all palates and very good.
All the staff were really kind.
It may not be a trendy hotel but the professionalism and pleasantness it offers beat any marketing strategy.

All topped off with an excellent price/quality ratio! The icing on the cake? The landlady, Sara, is a fantastic person... I felt at home: pampered and part of the family! I have been there, I have returned and I will return every time I need to sleep or eat in these areas. Thank you very much, truly! An affectionate hug to all the staff and the landlady 🤗

26/03/2025: Mi è stato consigliato da amici e ho pranzato a mia volta con amici e sono rimasto davvero sorpreso. Cucina molto curata, sia nella ricercatezza del gusto che nel dettaglio delle presentazioni. Il servizio eccellente, il responsabile di sala ci ha guidati nel percorso cibo/vini. Anche la location curatissima e molto pulita, ambiente intimo e romantico. Super consigliato!
13/03/2025: Ci torno ogni volta che riesco a passare da Colico. Per fortuna mi capita almeno 1 volta al mese e non posso rinunciare alla Locanda Capolago. Mi faccio il pieno di atmosfera, accoglienza, ottimo cibo e abbinamento vino sempre consigliato con sapienza. La cura per ogni cosa che caratterizza questo ristorante è merce rara

09/04/2025: The pizza had somewhat bland toppings, little flavor, and was very dry. I think I saw a conveyor belt for pizza dough in the kitchen. Where was the oven?
26/03/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant. As soon as we sat down we noticed the excessive prices, in our opinion, for the à la carte menu. First courses between 18 and 22 euros, second courses from 20 euros and up, if I remember correctly. Expensive and we are in Colico and not in the center of Milan or other cities ... I ordered a simple spaghetti, homemade, with clams and I see the clams arrive cooked with cherry tomatoes ... never seen before ... and a lot of oil on the bottom of the plate. The other person ordered a grilled lake fish and a plate of roast potatoes ... also without a strong flavor. The location is beautiful and suggestive facing the lake. The service is attentive and courteous. In our opinion, the flavor of the dishes needs to be improved.

Fast service, perhaps too fast but very kind.

06/04/2025: Sono stata in questo ristorante parecchie volte, diverse volte ho ordinato i pizzoccheri perchè molto buoni. Quest'ultima volta purtroppo erano immangiabili, poca pasta e molto molto formaggio, nauseante, la pasta non si vedeva affondata nel formaggio. Ottimo affogato al cioccolato.
27/03/2025: Stopped in for work on the recommendation of a local friend. Clean and well-kept location, 50m from the lake. Punctual, precise and discreet service, not excessive waiting, typical cuisine and business menu. I took Pizzoccheri, grilled vegetables, water (1 liter) and homemade amaretto semifreddo. Maybe the price is a little high (€30) but it's worth it. Advised.

02/01/2025: I truly hope this restaurant reopens soon. It’s not just any restaurant – it’s the place where so many memories of my childhood were made, and even the childhoods of my mother. Whenever friends visit us at Lake Como, this is the spot they always want to go to. It’s the most nostalgic and cherished place for all of us. The thought of not being able to go there anymore genuinely breaks my heart. It’s a family-run gem, and the food has always been fantastic. It’s irreplaceable.

07/03/2025: There is no information on Google that the kitchen is closed at certain hours. There is information that it is open all the time. I went specifically to this place because I thought that among many closed places, this one was open. It wasn't.
Second attempt the next day at 7 p.m. - kitchen is open but full. 🤣🤡
It's better to call so as not to drive pointlessly like I did. These are some balls.
03/03/2025: E’ con vera tristezza che scrivo questa recensione.Infatti ho frequentato questo bellissimo ristorante da decenni e sono veramente affezionato ai proprietari sempre gentilissimi e disponibili.Purtroppo sono rimasto sconvolto dalle dosi veramente incredibili.Cibo ottimo,come sempre,ma in quantità omeopatiche.Non si possono servire i pizzoccheri in un piatto da carne cruda da ristorante di lusso.Vorrei aver potuto pesarli ! Appena apprezzati ed erano finiti.Ed il pizzocchero è un piatto contadino che andrebbe apprezzato nella giusta dose.Anni fa erano serviti in un piatto normale e nella giusta dose.Darei quindi cinque stelle per la qualità e sotto zero per la quantità.Poi i prezzi più da Cartier a Montecarlo che da una pur ottima trattoria.Va bene euro ma qui si è veramente esagerato! Peccato eravate per me un mito e avete gettato tutto alle ortiche.E vi garantisco che ho sofferto a scrivere queste parole ma non potevo sorvolare una cosa così triste.
