31/08/2025: Super disappointed 😞 Worst ice cream of our two-week vacation in Italy. I always eat pistachio ice cream, and this definitely tasted like NOTHING. The dark chocolate was also disappointing. It had hardly any flavor and tasted more like regular chocolate.

24/08/2025: The taste was top-notch, but unfortunately I got the wrong waitress and therefore got tiny scoops (in the large cup there was still air at the bottom and it was flush with the top edge. 5€ is too much for that).

14/09/2025: The food was delicious. We had a lovely meal by the water. The menu isn't very extensive, with only a limited selection of pizzas and a few pasta dishes. The service was friendly and spoke good English.

09/09/2025: We had a wonderful evening here! After a few days of hiking, we were ready for an Italian pizza. The service was incredibly friendly and we received a free first drink thanks to a voucher from the hotel where we were staying. The pizza had a delicious, light crust and paired well with one of the white wines they serve. In previous reviews, I saw that the service wasn't always great, but I completely disagree. Portovino has fast service that is incredibly friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place if you want a delicious Italian meal with a view of the lake!

08/07/2025: Exceptional restaurant! Very few like it remain! Dinner featuring spaghetti allo scoglio, undoubtedly among the best I've ever tasted. Generous portions and excellent value. We sincerely hope this isn't, as has unfortunately been announced, the restaurant's last season for non-hotel guests. It would be a real shame to lose a little gem like this restaurant, with its fabulous view and sunset over the upper Lario. We would definitely return without hesitation, especially considering the very kind and courteous staff.

01/07/2025: This review is specifically for the restaurant. Friendly and accommodating staff, fantastic food. We were 4 adults and 2 children - we felt welcomed and enjoyed our evening. Highly recommend for dinner (you may need a reservation) and would return.

25/08/2025: We stumbled upon this pizzeria, located off the promenade, by chance. The menu is available in QR format, but this requires a stable internet connection. The Wi-Fi didn't work for us either, so luckily they brought us a menu. The pizzas are large, thin-crust, and well-topped. The prices are unbeatable, making it an absolute insider tip and highly recommended.

01/10/2025: It's edible. It wouldn't be my first choice. However, the waiter made a great effort to serve us in English.

24/09/2025: We ate dinner on Saturday evening in a restaurant full of foreign guests of the hotel, who eat early and in fact while we were having dinner they were already preparing the buffet for breakfast the next day... everything very quickly as if to tell us to hurry up. The food was normal, good starters, the main courses left us a bit perplexed, the char seemed only boiled.

11/09/2025: The food was pretty good, but the whole experience was spoilt by the waiter who had an abrupt arrogant attitude, the choice of white wine was limited to 4-5 bottles. It’s a shame because the setting and ambience is good and the food was good especially the prawn starter. Maybe the waiter was having bad day, but it shouldn’t impact on the customers!

12/09/2025: Great location right on the shores of Lake Como, with a boat dock right in front of the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, and the breakfast restaurant overlooks the lake. Motorcycle parking is available in the courtyard, which is locked at night.

25/08/2025: The hotel has a great location and nice staff. Breakfast is included with a nice assortment, however there is no other food serverd here for lunch or dinner. The spa is quaint but only has a sauna and steam room. Perfect for a couple of nights and everything is walking distance.

09/10/2025: A very charming restaurant on Lake Colico, with generous and delicious dishes, very friendly staff, and excellent prices.

08/10/2025: The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Bringing our dog with us wasn't a problem at all. We'd be happy to go back.
