A truly beautiful restaurant near the Borgio Verezzi Caves! We were particularly impressed by the lovely and inviting terrace, where the four of us enjoyed a wonderful lunch.
The food was incredibly authentic, prepared with love, and simply delicious. The prices were surprisingly fair – excellent value for money.
The service was also outstanding: our server was exceptionally helpful, attentive, and very, very friendly. We felt welcome and well taken care of from the very beginning.
There were four of us, and we were all completely satisfied. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area who wants to enjoy good, authentic food in a beautiful setting. We would definitely come back! ❤️

04/07/2026: After a good hike, we arrive, specifying that we didn't have a reservation, but with all due politeness, we ask if they have room or if we can wait for takeout pizzas.
The blue-eyed, curly-haired waiter, very rudely, blaring loudly so everyone can clearly hear him, treats us rudely, saying he can't tell us a time, asking if we can't see how many people there are, etc.
We once again politely ask for an approximate time, and he again rudely answers us when all we needed was "Guys, half an hour, I don't know, an hour. In the meantime, do you want to have a glass of wine?"
So, we absolutely don't recommend it, because the place may be wonderful, but if this is the welcome...

It's a shame you couldn't eat there. Six of us arrived on Saturday evening without a reservation. I politely asked if there were seats for six. A young, curly-haired waiter with blue eyes replied that it was impossible. So I politely asked if it was possible to order takeout. He replied, annoyed, "Well, I can't tell you how long, you have all those tables out front." I persisted (because I was happy to spend time in that beautiful place) and asked, "Can you give me a rough estimate?" He replied, "How can I tell you? It could be 20, 30 minutes, or an hour. What do I know about what people eat?" At which point he turned and left.
I'm Ligurian, but sometimes I'm ashamed of our hospitality.
A piece of advice... next time, instead of treating potential new customers this way, offer a wine list while you wait. That way you'll appear polite, and above all, you'll make money.

05/08/2026: 9:40 PM, Saturday, August 1st... being bounced because the kitchen was closed???? No comment...
In response to your reply that the kitchen was open at 11 PM, after finding another place nearby for pizza, we ate ice cream at an ice cream shop at 11:10 PM, and the place was already empty and you were clearing out...
I don't understand why you're making excuses (made-up time or pre-booked tables that don't exist)....
I repeat: at 11:10 PM, the place was already empty and you were cleaning.

29/09/2025: We were just here for the first time, but we'll definitely be back in the next few days. Really delicious for a very good price! We couldn't wait, so the photo isn't that descriptive.
15/08/2025: Super punctual and friendly. The pesto pizza was good. The Margherita was a bit standard. The farinata was decent, although I've had better in the past.

The food was delicious and the seaside location is absolutely stunning. Special thanks to our waitress, who was incredibly friendly and smiley!
However, the service lacked flexibility. Not her, the manager, or the colleague... Well, three of us were stuck in the sun, and the waiter refused to move us to a nearby shaded table that had just cleared, claiming it was "booked." Two minutes later, only two people sat there. It would have been a simple swap to move our group of five to the shade and give the duo our old table, also on the part with a shadow.
**Advice to management:** Don't complicate simple solutions. A little flexibility goes a long way in customer satisfaction. We left on friendly terms, but the experience could have been much better.

Antica Osteria Saracena del Bergallo

15/08/2026: The restaurant, located in the beautiful village of Verezzi, has a terrace with an exceptional view of the Gulf.
Even though this summer was very hot, we had a really good time. The restaurant is very spacious and the service was a bit slow, but the food was excellent.
I recommend the grilled fish.
10/08/2026: Truly a beautiful place! The view is spectacular: opening the window in the morning and seeing the Gulf of Liguria is like standing before a painting. That alone is worth the trip!
Clean and cozy room, extremely kind staff, and a truly warm welcome.
The only small flaw, more of a suggestion for further improvement, is that the restaurant is above the rooms, and the shifting of chairs is quite audible. Perhaps a few small adjustments could tone down the noise.
Otherwise, we had a really good time. It's one of those places that stays in your memory, especially for its location and that wonderful view. I would definitely return!

Piatti di pesce molto buoni, servizio giovane, attento, molto gentile e disponibile.
20/07/2025: Buon ristorante nel borgo con vista sul golfo. Piatti classici liguri nella norma e buon servizio. Prezzo un po’ eccessivo…ma si paga la posizione.

27/04/2025: Sono ritornato in vacanza con la mia famiglia dopo l'estate scorsa e ho avuto davvero una pessima sorpresa. La gestione e' la stessa, ma non è lo stesso il trattamento. Ambiente fin troppo "famigliare": a servire ai tavoli, posti ad un centimetro di distanza l'uno dall'altro, una giovane donna incinta prossima al parto (che mi ha fatto una grande tenerezza), tra il caos generale. Professionalità zero, dimenticanze, aperitivi scarni, clienti maleducati e urlanti come non avevo mai visto. Ne avevo un bel ricordo, nonostante la location tra i palazzi e sul cemento e l' arredamento fatiscente, ma anche i più bei ricordi, purtroppo a volte svaniscono velocemente. Non lo consiglio.
