The cappuccinos are expertly made, delicious with the perfect amount of milk, hard to find. The staff is exquisite, young women are welcoming and kind. Whenever I can, I travel from Gragnana to this place, which stands out from the rest, and I highly recommend it. Seeing such a young, well-trained, and professionally structured staff is heartwarming. A special shout-out to the blonde barista for her refined work. Bravo, bravo, bravo 👏🏻

06/01/2026: Cocktail area, excellent food quality although in my opinion the quantity of the platter should be increased, specifically the seafood one, too much salad, the focaccia 10 out of 10, very professional staff and I must say also good looking, but please do not touch the bread and then the money, the same person who works the cash register and then serves is unhygienic, clean and welcoming environment p.s. please the decorative plants if real rather than plastic is better, cocktails out of 5, 4 good one totally unbalanced, not all the donuts come out with a hole, overall good I will return
04/01/2026: I'm celiac and lactose intolerant, and for the first time in my life, I didn't have to give up anything on the menu—quite the opposite!
Super friendly staff and delicious food, highly recommended.

08/11/2025: Excellent pizza and pizzeria. Simply the best pizzas we've ever eaten. We've tried quite a few in France and Italy, but this one is truly the best. The flavors of the ingredients are fresh and perfectly balanced. The chef is very friendly and readily explains the history of his pizza dough and answers all our questions. The waitress is also very friendly and speaks English for those who don't speak Italian, like us.

29/11/2025: Let's start with the peculiarities that some people might not like: don't expect a menu with a slew of pizza types. They serve Margherita and farinata pizzas, plus other deli specialties (savory pies, etc.).
That said, the pizza is spectacular. The mozzarella is soft, whereas in practically every other pizzeria I find it rubbery. The pizza is pan-baked, and I really like it. It's both soft and crispy, and even the crust is a pleasure to eat. The farinata pizza is wow.
When I'm in Sarzana, I'll tend to eat here 😁.

01/11/2025: We came back after a lovely first experience, hoping for another great meal but unfortunately, this time was a letdown. Things started off okay, but there was a mistake with our primi course. We politely asked for what we had originally ordered, and while it was eventually brought out, the dish wasn’t prepared well it just didn’t taste right.
To make matters worse, the service felt cold. The corrected dish was brought out with no smile or acknowledgment, and overall we felt like we were an inconvenience rather than welcome guests. It’s a shame, because we had high hopes based on our first visit, but this experience really changed our impression.
09/09/2025: Honestly, we had booked at another restaurant, but due to our delay, our table was given to someone else. Fair enough, no fuss, in fact, thank you! We discovered this place, seemingly anonymous from abroad but welcoming, intimate, and elegant inside, specifically in the courtyard. Indeed, upon entering, we find a hallway with the cash register, the restrooms (clean and tidy), the kitchen, and then the restaurant area with a beautiful, well-kept, and quiet internal courtyard. The dishes are well-presented and flavorful. Excellent wine selection. Coffee in the Moka pot at the table. Attentive service. Prices in line with the aforementioned setting. Recommended.

08/01/2026: Excellent and unique dishes, especially the first courses (the broth with stuffed lettuce leaves was exceptional).
The second courses are a bit low in salt. Small portions. Prices are a bit on the high end. Overall, highly recommended.
22/10/2025: We got there at 1:20 pm, and got served very well. They were super friendly and spoke very good English. The food was excellent, too: antipasti and pasta with porcini.

30/10/2025: Osteria del Monsignore is a restaurant located in the center of Sarzana. I had the opportunity to have lunch there with a group of friends just before Christmas. The restaurant isn't very large, but inside you'll find a cozy atmosphere. The menu focuses on traditional Lunigiana dishes—nothing elaborate, but certainly appetizing. The quality is very good, as is the courteous and prompt service. There's a wide selection of wines. The price is average.
