16/05/2025: So I read the reviews before coming here and my tour guy recommended the place. I decided because a lot of the reviews look like people were being unfair as they were a bit bent out of shape thay i would give it a go none the less. And look, dont expect a 10/10 meal. It was okay, and most importantly put food in our bellys. I've tried many pesto pastas and honestly it was maybe a 5.5/6 out of 10 so like, not awful. The panna cotta was delicious albeit small. The bread tasted a bit stale, the mixed fish entre was bland and the wine was very acidic. Again, if you just want something to eat, its a fine place to go and the staff were friendly enough but if you want to experience food then id suggest going elsewhere. It was a solid 6/10 overall. Not bad and pretty okay priced considering what you get and it compared to everywhere elses prices! This is not a knock at all to the venue.

06/05/2025: We ate the mixed grill and really liked it. Friendly staff and pleasant environment.

12/05/2025: Characteristic bar, located in the picturesque historic port with a suggestive view of the sea. Its outdoor space is beautiful, well-kept and well furnished. We sat down to have an aperitif, accompanied by believe me... a Genoese pesto with "divine" toasted bread. The table service was fast, professional and very kind. Thank you for your welcome.

10/05/2025: Excellent aperitif, included with the drink they bring you small appetizers such as chips, peanuts, pesto with croutons is also much appreciated

07/06/2025: We were going to eat here on our last night but then we read the reviews!! We called by at 8pm and there wasn't a single person in there while all the other restaurants were full, that tells you all you need to know! The owner needs to realize that people leave reviews and stop treating customers like an inconvenience. Until he changes his attitude the place will remain empty, a severe lack of professionalism. If he hates customers that much then just do everyone a favour and shut the place down!

01/06/2025: Tourist rip-off. We've eaten in Cinque Terre several times and sometimes paid a lot, but the quality in this restaurant doesn't hold up. We were also pressured to order as quickly as possible. The restaurant only survives on its well-located terrace in the village. But yes: in Cinque Terre, even a restaurant like this can survive with the crowds.

03/11/2024: Acabábamos de hacer senderismo/repeler hacia abajo desde la cima de la isla y acabamos de perdernos el 2 : 05 pm ferry de vuelta a la tierra firme, así que decidimos parar para tomar una copa. Éramos los únicos allí, ya que estaban empezando a cerrar por la tarde. Como tuvimos tiempo de matar hasta el próximo ferry decidimos almorzar. Empezaban a cerrar pero aún así nos hicieron un par de platos de pasta (espaguetis con almejas y una pasta pesto). Ambas eran excelentes comidas en el patio con una vista fantástica! El servidor incluso nos ofreció un viaje de vuelta si queríamos! Tuve una gran experiencia!

27/10/2024: On y est allé comme ça, car on avait juste faim en débarquant. On est tombé sur un lieu chargé d'histoire, un musée de célébrités avec une anecdote à chaque fois. Le serveur était aux petits soins. Ô. À mangé des pâtes aux vongole à la Giuseppe exceptionnelles, ça fait longtemps que je n'avais mangé de si bonnes pâtes. Je recommande cet endroit, sympa, romantique, à voir.

07/06/2025: Very central in Riomaggiore, it offers excellent food, exceptional aperitifs and wines and a fantastic coffee. In addition, the staff is very kind and professional. For an authentic Ligurian relaxation with great music, go to Nonna Vittoria. Riomaggiorese atmosphere.

30/05/2025: I enjoyed a morning cappuccino and croissant which really hits the spot. Only place open at 7 AM. The server is very conscientious and helpful. True Italian experience.

19/01/2025: Pastas/taste is really good. Everything is house made. Service is not great but okay. Can be improved.

04/05/2025: God og variert meny, god mat, men fullstendig kaos i serveringen. Vi bestilte 3 retter, fikk 2. siden de skulle stenge og ryddet lokalet mens vi satt der, så ba vi om regningen. Der ville de ha 20€ for den retten vi aldri fikk. Kelneren påsto at retten var klar til oss, men vi skjønte ikke var sant og ville ikke sitte der og spise mens de ryddet for kvelden. Den siste retten ble til slutt trukket fra regninga. Siden maten var god gikk vi dit for lunch dagen etter. Da satt vi i 40 minutter og ventet på drikke, det ble nesten komisk...mens servitørene gikk fram og tilbake forbi oss hele tida uten å bry seg. Attpåtil fikk vi regning på mere drikke enn vi hadde bestilt. Den ene servitøren skyldte på sine kollegaer, men han var ikke noe bedre sjøl!

04/05/2025: En fantastisk restaurant med en flott stemning. Vi var to par som bestilte forskjellige retter. Pasta med reker som var perfekt tilberedt. Biff som smeltet i munnen, risotto med sjømat og til sitt en klassiker pasta carbonara. Selv om restauranten fylte seg opp med gjester var det en rolig betjening som passet på at vi hadde det perfekte. Dette stede blir nok besøk igjen. Selv om det ikke hadde noe utsikt, vil jeg anbefale det et besøk.

16/08/2024: Terrible welcome from the waiter, long wait to be served a simple Spritz... The waiter seemed impatient and even annoyed that we didn't choose our dishes quickly. We got up and left without eating... Place to avoid...

15/08/2024: The food was good, it really depends on what you take… The big problem is that we’ve waited 1 hour to receive the plate. They warned us that we would have to wait a bit but 1 hour is too much ! Moreover the quantity is so tiny I had the impression to just have the right to taste a part of a plate. If you’re hungry this is not the place to be ! The staff was not the best staff you will ever encounter but it’s a normal staff I can’t critic the staff.

19/03/2025: Leider kein Gourmet Restaurant; einfache italienische Küche ohne jedweden Pfiff. Schade an diesem tollen Standort. Gott-sei-dank nicht teuer.

25/12/2024: Il giorno di Natale ero a fare il turista. Mi sono fermato qui per mangiare a pranzo. Tutto buonissimo,il posto davanti al mare,il personale gentile e disponibile. Lo consiglio.

08/06/2025: Difficile anche trovare le parole per descrivere la scarsa qualità del cibo e del locale. Menù focaccia…affettati penso del discount, focaccia dura e piena di lievito, torta di verdure senza verdure. Conseguenza? Di 6 persone in 3 abbiamo passato la notte in bianco per cattiva digestione. Veniamo al locale…metà della sala interna senza lampadari ma con delle piantane da camera da letto, tavoli stretti dove era veramente impossibile appoggiare i taglieri ordinati.

08/06/2025: Locale climatizzato ma quando è pieno il caldo si sente anche nei periodi non estivi, cmq accogliente e ben curato. Personale gentile e servizio veloce.. Ottima farinata ma peccato per la pizza, ingredienti buoni ma impasto estremamente sottile.. Un foglio friabile..

14/05/2025: Normalerweise bewerte ich nur Restaurants in denen wir gute Erfahrungen gemacht haben, um die Leistung von Küche und Service wertzuschätzen. In diesem Fall muss ich leider eine Ausnahme machen, weil es bisher die schlechteste Erfahrung gewesen ist, die wir je gemacht haben. Monterosso ist natürlich ein Ort, in dem viele Touristen unterwegs sind und einen freien Tisch zum Essen suchen, deshalb scheint sich das Personal und ebenso die Küche nicht um einen Gast zu bemühen, auf Stammgäste ist das Konzept ja auch nicht ausgelegt und die Trinkgelder sind auch gesichert, da sie gleich mit auf der Rechnung stehen, wir aber gerne bei gutem Essen und freundlichem Personal noch zusätzlich Trinkgeld geben. Der Kellner wirkte völlig lustlos, hat uns mit einer Geste einen Tisch zugewiesen, auf unsere Begrüßung gar nicht reagiert. Auf eine freundliche Bitte, uns Salz zu bringen, wurde zwar signalisiert, dass man es uns bringt, das war es dann aber leider auch. Mein Mann ist nach 10 Minuten selbst nach drinnen ins Lokal gegangen und hat eine Kellnerin um Salz gebeten, die ihm einen Salzstreuer gegeben hat, da war das geschmacklose Tagliata Manzone leider schon kalt, schade.

23/02/2025: Tres déçu repas composée de fruits de mers congelés , accueil austère , mauvaise ambiance , tarifs pas adéquation avec la qualité ! Je ne renouvelerai pas l'expérience

09/04/2025: An old-fashioned looking bar but we see two desserts. No price displayed. We say to ourselves that it must be reasonable: result 20 euros for two hot chocolates that are certainly good and two small slices of pie that are not fantastic. Go on your way!
