09/01/2026: I can't understand how it gets those kind of reviews. We went for lunch, the food was poor quality (overcooked pasta, tough pork), the owner was friendly, and it was cold.
Sorry, but we won't be back.

12/04/2026: I've been here several times, always for family functions. The food is always excellent, both meat and fish. Last time, however, the service was a bit confusing. At times it was too slow (30 minutes for the first course or the cake to arrive) and at other times too fast (five minutes after the main course arrived, they were already snatching plates away from people who had already finished, while those still eating were trying to hurry up because the waiter was in a hurry).

25/03/2026: If you're passing through Polcenigo, stop by Al Pascon! The staff is incredibly friendly and the gnocchi are top-notch. The atmosphere is super welcoming. Highly recommended!

15/05/2026: The restaurant's almost glamorous feel is tempered by vernacular touches in its furnishings and architectural features. It's a large space, suitable for large groups, but it's also possible to reserve a private, quiet area. The pizzeria is connected to the Cial de Brenta restaurant, and customers receive two menus: the pizzeria menu and the restaurant menu. The service is impeccable, and the staff is friendly and prompt. But if you're looking for a good pizza, you've come to the wrong place: there's no respect for authentic Neapolitan pizza protocol. The pizza is served as a hard, overcooked, and flat crust. There's some doubt about the dough's rising times.

16/05/2026: Discovery of the day.... We happened upon it by chance, and the owner invited us to see the waterfalls from inside the restaurant. We decided to stop by for lunch! Amazing! Absolutely worth a try!

I visited here for an aperitif with friends, and as soon as I entered, I was struck by the uniqueness of the place: an intimate, refined setting with a truly welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by the warmth of the fireplace. The location is incredible: the view of the river is truly spectacular, and the sound of the flowing water contributed to a relaxing evening.
The absolute star of the tasting was saffron. I appreciated how it was used with balance in every bite, enhancing the flavors without ever overpowering them.
Between conversations, surrounded by the beauty of the landscape, warmed by the warmth of the fireplace, and pampered by authentic flavors, I discovered the pleasure of a local cuisine that is never boring.

A lovely place in the center of Polcenigo, one of the most beautiful villages in Friuli. There are also antique markets in the village square (check dates).
A must-see!!!

01/05/2026: We ordered 4 meat skewers, don't be fooled by the wording skewer. Yes, skewer because the meat (2 pieces of pork and 1 piece of chicken) costs 18 euros. 😱😡🤬 A rascally wording for the sale. When in another festival or restaurant or Trattoria, with 18 euros they give you a real grilled meat and meat means chicken, pork, beef. The gentlemen took the liberty of pointing out to me that there was also cabbage and cabbage salad 😱😱😱😅😅😅🤔🤔🤔😂😂😅 what a laugh, they also wanted to make me feel out of place. I'll start by saying that I'm a Chef and I'm part of the Italian professional association and I've worked in many companies, and this is a totally rascally reality. On top of that, everything is served in plastic (drinks), unseemly and very expensive Spritz, etc... Don't venture into the infamous meat skewer, because that's not the case. The park is fantastic and all in nature. It's worth a visit.

22/04/2025: Con grande piacere lascio una recensione su questo ristorante. Come spesso accade nella mia vita, prendo decisioni in modo spontaneo e all’ultimo momento. Così, tre giorni prima di Pasqua, io e la mia famiglia abbiamo deciso di prenotare un pranzo al ristorante.
Nel corso dei tre giorni successivi, dopo numerose telefonate a diversi locali, ero già delusa e quasi pronta a rinunciare all’idea. Tutti proponevano solo menù fissi e nessuno sembrava disposto ad ascoltare richieste particolari per un pranzo vegano o vegetariano — anche solo un semplice piatto con un po’ di insalata veniva considerato un problema.
Poi ho chiamato Al Faro. La risposta è stata gentile e disponibile: mi hanno detto che avrebbero fatto il possibile per trovarci un tavolo e che non ci sarebbero stati problemi con il menù vegano. Ero al settimo cielo dalla felicità!
Il giorno di Pasqua, al pranzo, mi è stato servito un antipasto, un primo e un secondo piatto… e volendo c’era anche il dolce, ma ormai ero troppo sazia!
Un’esperienza davvero positiva, sia per l’attenzione al cliente che per la qualità del cibo. Consigliatissimo!

12/07/2025: Rispetto ad una brillante presentazione da parte della presunta titolare al momento di prendere le nostre 10 ordinazioni, nel pasto sono stati riscontrati tagliata stopposa nonostante il costo di 23€ a porzione, e una peperonata letteralmente puzzolente andata a male (acida), e nonostante la gravità di ciò, quello che ha deluso maggiormente è stato l'atteggiamento degli addetti al nostro aver fatto notare -solamente- il palese difetto della peperonata: siamo stati letteralmente ignorati = nessun riscontro, nessun cenno di empatia, anzi. Dopo la segnalazione i personaggi sono spariti dalla sala. Che vergogna. Abbiamo lasciato 333 00 € mangiato male (a parte ai deliziosi grissini col lardo) e oltretutto le nostre lamentele sono stati ignorate, professionalità ed educazione/rispetto queste sconosciute.
