16/12/2025: We had dinner on a Saturday evening with friends. The staff was very bored and uninvolved. When bringing us the wine, the waiter asked if we wanted glasses... The menu was hastily explained.

11/10/2025: A truly fantastic restaurant with a small hotel 🏨. We've been there three times now and have been impressed each time by the quality of the food, the friendliness of the service, and the quality of the rooms. We'd love to come back!

04/02/2026: Questionable experience, room cleanliness could be improved. My partner and I stayed in the Salum Per Aquam for one night. No slippers were provided for entering and exiting the Turkish bath/sauna or hot tub, which for €220 I assumed would be available. The room was nice, nothing to complain about. The breakfast service was terrible: €20 for breakfast for two, and there was literally no one there to serve it. We wandered around the kitchen and other rooms to make our own coffee and cappuccino, and the food was nothing special considering the price. The exterior cleanliness was questionable, with lots of poop that was noticeable around the grounds, but not at the entrance to the building or in the room. We probably won't be returning.

14/01/2026: A great find in Faenza. Nove100 Cafe is the perfect place if you're looking for a well-made breakfast and an atmosphere that makes you happy to stay even for a few hours to work. Coffee and breakfast are top picks, but above all, they offer fast internet, comfortable tables, and a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that allows you to focus without stress. No hustle and bustle, no rush. You sit, work, and enjoy. One of those places that quickly becomes a must-visit when you're in the area. Highly recommended.

15/03/2026: We went to visit a friend in Faenza, and he took us to this trattoria for lunch. The place was cozy but basic. The dishes were generous and flavorful, simply cooked. The female staff were very welcoming and immediately put you at ease. If we ever come back, we'll definitely return.

25/02/2026: Historic location, an old paper mill with a long chimney still standing. Excellent food, all homemade. Simple. Very friendly. Reasonable prices. First courses around 8-9 euros.

30/12/2025: The Bassi era is over. The hot chocolate was mediocre and the ice cream was really bad. I had to throw it away. It's not good enough, a historic place ruined.

27/12/2025: The first time I went to Caffè Bassi was about 50 years ago. The old Bassi family were kind, competent people; the place was clean, as were the bathrooms. Then it passed into the hands of their son and wife. A slight decline in kindness, but nothing more. Today, my wife and I stopped for a break; it was chaotic, with a mix of clientele, and the service left much to be desired. But the worst part was the bathrooms, which were unspeakable, veritable latrines, not properly cleaned. What a shame! After 50 years, I'll have to give up a pleasant stop on winter afternoons. 05/07/2025: We have traveled to Northern Italy for the past 3 years (2023,24 & 25). Syrene was one of the best restaurants that we have ever been to in any country. The staff, the food and the setting were superb. Paulo was the waiter that usually served us. We traveled to Italy again this but it is with sadness that we see Syrene has closed. We do hope that it opens again because it is a special place. John Dunne (Ireland).
