13/09/2025: Il Ritrovo is a top-notch restaurant...Everyone is friendly and fast! Excellent, authentic food, cooked just the way we like it, which is no small feat! The restaurant is spacious and comfortable, and on the right days, you can even eat outside...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

26/08/2025: Beautiful inn, clean and very quiet rooms. The restaurant is excellent, with delicious food and truly knowledgeable waiters. The welcome is wonderful, and the prices are excellent. The inn is far from the tourist hubbub, but Sestola is about 10 minutes away.
23/08/2025: Excellent Emilian cuisine from passatelli tortellini the real fried gnocco with excellent cured meats and five-star wine. The inn managers are hospitable and very kind. I will return next summer.

01/09/2025: We were there for Ferragosto with a fixed menu, costing €56.00 each including drinks, excellent dishes with the exception of the lamb chops, friendly staff, location in the middle of the woods with the possibility of rooms, I recommend it.

07/09/2025: "A very basic place in Sestola. I honestly don't understand all the rave reviews. The wait was interminable: over an hour just to serve three starters. The service was slow and inattentive, and the prices were high for the quality. The food was bland, and nothing to justify the price. Disappointing experience: I wouldn't recommend it.
26/08/2025: I rarely write reviews, but this time I had to. Unfortunately, I rarely come here, and each time it gets better. The food is excellent and sophisticated, like the onion soup or some of the desserts like the one in the photo. The menu is extensive and caters to all tastes, even the most traditional. Excellent service.

23/08/2025: We came to this restaurant with our girls as outsiders to the campground. We loved it, so much so we returned a few days later!
Although it's not an AIC-certified restaurant, they provided several gluten-free options (such as risotto, grilled meat, etc.) and even gluten-free bread.
The girls had the tortellini in brodo and the gramigna with sausage, both of which they loved. Not to mention the delicious desserts. The portions are generous, and the flavors are authentic, like homemade! The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, and the staff is very kind and welcoming. Highly recommended!
17/08/2025: Excellent restaurant located within the campsite. Everything was delicious. A great alternative to the restaurants in the center, which are always full.

Mushrooms and truffles?! They should sell soap.
Mushrooms that taste like water, truffles that don't exist, dirty place, nonexistent service. We had to forgo the main courses, and after an hour of waiting we asked to cancel our order. Never again.
12/10/2025: Large place, generous portions, and everything excellent. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The only important thing to avoid is to make a reservation!
Easy to find, and plenty of parking!

05/10/2025: I came here with my girlfriend on Saturday evening, and it was an unforgettable dinner, the staff were top notch and the owners too! I highly recommend it.

20/08/2025: Dinner with friends.
Gnocco, Crescentino, cured meats, lard, jams, sweet and sour onions, bean stew and grilled vegetables, and then sweet coffee and liqueur...all delicious.
At the end of the day, considering we also had an aperitif there, we spent 20 euros each...all while the kids played ping pong, table tennis, foosball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer...all without spending a single euro.
For years, a favorite spot on our Sestola vacations.
P.S.: Aperitif and dinner were served after playing tennis (you can shower there) on the reservable court at a fantastic price...12 euros per hour.
The owner and staff were also very courteous and helpful (they let me use the court for 20 minutes longer and even gave me new balls for free).
We arrived at 4:00 PM and left at midnight... 1 hour and 20 minutes of tennis, an aperitif, and dinner for four cost us 92 euros... something that would set you back around 140-150 euros for a day like that anywhere else...
Highly recommended.
19/08/2025: Practically a dream come true... Tigelle and gnocchi galore, delicious, velvety, and soft as a cloud. Homemade cured meats, potatoes, and vegetables, all delicious. What more can I say? A MUST.

Their mascarpone with cake was truly out of this world, and the price was absolutely right at €15 per person.

09/08/2025: As soon as we left the restaurant, my girlfriend and I wandered around hopelessly for a while on this Saturday evening in August. We found a table at this pizzeria on the only available terrace. We were overjoyed with the helpfulness shown, the quality of the pizza dough, and the abundance of toppings. Definitely a place to consider when craving pizza in Sestola!
Everything was excellent, very kind, and the dinner was amazing!!
P.S.: We had our big dog (very calm) with us, and there were no objections to keeping her with us, so that was a huge plus ;)

Se scrivete “pizzeria” nel insegna almeno imparate a fare le pizze che siano grandi come il cartone.
(Anche parzialmente bruciata)
27/06/2025: Cena a base di Tagliata veramente buona in un locale pulito con personale molto gentile ma poco qualificato, si erano dimenticati di scrivere un piatto. Devo dire che hanno cercato di rimediare allo sbaglio e ci sono riusciti.Gode di tavolini all'aperto.

18/02/2025: Everything perfect and fast, good value for money. An unforgivable flaw is no type of separate waste collection and even if you want there are common bins for everything, no instructions about it. Everywhere but especially in the mountains in 2025 we need to make an extra effort, educate and demand education from the consumer! At the cost of dedicating a role in waste management! Now a great ninara!
25/01/2025: The food was pathetic. I found a hair and it was served cold. The service was horrible. I thought I saw the toilet paper container empty, so I went to report it. The waitress pointed it out and replied, "Wake up, are you stupid?" I don't recommend it to anyone. Stay away if you want to be treated this way.

Locanda San Nicolò

30/08/2025: The property has changed management and no longer offers full board (lunch and dinner). That said, Mauro and Francesca (the current managers) pampered us for a week. Cleanliness, helpfulness, and friendliness, along with a breakfast featuring authentic flavors, make Locanda San Niccolò a perfect place to stay while visiting Sestola.
