03/09/2025: I was at this restaurant on August 27th. The entrance was sad, but the outside area was beautiful. The food (we only ordered fish) was really good and fresh. We waited 20 minutes to order, with one waiter for the entire outside area. It's absurd! After the waiter arrived, tragedy struck: they didn't have any wine. It's okay, they'd be closing for the season soon, but you have to have wine in a restaurant; it's absurd that they don't have one. The waiter who took our order couldn't speak, he was practically a troglodyte, just like the other waiters, who were absurdly incompetent. He brought us the appetizer, and I asked what "merca caldo/ freddo" was, and the answer was "I DON'T KNOW!" You bring a dish and you don't even know what you're holding, but everything's fine. "Improvised waiters," that's the answer. We went to pay the bill, €350.00, which we had to split since we were two couples with multiple children (there were nine of us in total). The cashier's response was, "YOU DO IT, I DON'T DO IT," incredibly rude. In conclusion, you have a very nice restaurant, practically on the beach. Try to change the way you respond to customers, serve them more correctly and competently, otherwise CLOSE YOUR BUSINESS.

01/03/2026: I stayed three days with my whole family including 2 children from 16 to 19 February 2026 in this hotel Lo Scoiattolo if you can call it a hotel, and it was a nightmare, before leaving for months both I and the agency I relied on to book called and sent many emails to find out if they cooked for celiacs and the owner who was always the one to answer said that there was no problem because they also cook gluten-free, the fact is that we arrived on Monday and already on Tuesday my son-in-law who is celiac was very ill eating super contaminated food, I called the owner several times but she didn't care, unprofessional and very rude, we all felt bad too, eating terrible food reheated and reheated several times the fact is that we all felt very bad too, we were going on with tad 600, enterogermina, Imodium, biochetasi, rio pan and very strong cramps it was 3 terrible days, then we We moved to another hotel not far from there and for us the real holiday began even if we were sick, a wonderful hotel and right there we learned that the week before the ambulance had gone to the Scoiattolo twice for people poisoned even while I was there I saw another ambulance always go to the scoiattolo shameful, so delete this hotel from your Google and stay away, dirty rooms, bathrooms with showers and blocked sinks, this hotel has nothing positive, dirty, eating garbage, owners who only think about making money and not the health of the customer, old furnishings and the exterior that looks like a gypsy camp, highly not recommended

25/02/2026: Last week, my family and I spent four days at the Lo Scoiattolo Hotel, an experience to forget. First of all, the rooms were dirty, with beds with incredibly thin and uncomfortable mattresses. The bathroom was so old and uncomfortable that you had to sit sideways on the toilet because the shower was right next to the toilet. Moving on to the food, the food was inedible, substandard, and above all, terribly cooked! We were a group of ten, and starting on the second day, we started having stomach problems with severe cramps, and some even started vomiting. The owner was notified of all this, but she didn't say anything, just nodded—in my country, silence is consent! So I think she was aware of what was going on in the kitchen. Even more serious, and certainly worthy of a complaint, was the fact that when booking, it was repeatedly pointed out that there was a celiac in the group, and so they asked if they also prepared gluten-free dishes. The lady replied, "Of course, you can rest assured, we have everything you need for celiacs." Yes, my husband was incredibly ill; he had to take TADs to detox, and he had to take other medications for cramps, diarrhea, and vomiting. Even today, almost a week later, he's still not feeling well; he's on a doctor-prescribed treatment! These things aren't something you joke about; you don't gamble with people's health to make money. In short, I absolutely don't recommend this place to anyone, especially if there are intolerant guests; they're gambling with people's health.

17/10/2025: It's an incredible place, with very friendly people and the best food in Crotone! If you want to eat authentic Italian food, just like at home, then you absolutely must come here. But be prepared: the atmosphere is homey, warm, and friendly, unlike a restaurant.

18/10/2025: We were on vacation in Capo Rizzuto off-season, early October, a desert. Not knowing where to have dinner, we looked around, but everything was closed. We found this restaurant, and we had a good, large pizza, just the way I like it. The only downside was the waiter, who was enthralled by the game, didn't come to us. The place is large and very nice.

Nor can I remain silent about the almond pastry, which, though I'd never loved it, in this case won me over to the point of igniting a secret and unexpected love. But on the other hand, alas, not the taste but the tone. The attitude of the person manning the counter seemed to tell us that our very existence was a nuisance: few smiles, little cordiality, and that subtle aura of impatience that ill-suits those who live on diners and vacationers. Let me be clear: I'm not asking you to sacrifice quality on the altar of service: the art of baking is too precious. But at least the humble gesture of a smile, a kind word, the knowledge that here aren't just customers, but souls seeking refreshment and memories of the sea. And so, while the custard still dances in my memories, the bitter thought remains that here, sugar abounds in every dessert, but it's not enough to sweeten the soul of those behind the counter.

05/10/2025: The pizzas by the slice are good, as are the arancini and potato croquettes. The panzerotto, called a calzone, is special, similar to the fried one in Brindisi but sweeter. Overall, there's a good selection, it's a shame you can't find meatballs, which would be a great addition.

16/08/2025: TRATTORIA LUPEN!!!! I went with my wife tonight! We ordered a substitute first course consisting of paccheri with pistachio cream (it was definitely not from Bronte) and prawns! I was expecting fresh prawns, especially since the dish cost 20 euros, but alas, I found myself served frozen cocktail prawns! YOU ARE RUINING TOURISM IN CIRÒ! NEVER AGAIN!

02/09/2025: Truly excellent, both the owner and the young man who works there are friendly and quite helpful. The pizza is truly excellent, both stuffed and Margherita. I recommend the 4 Formaggi, which is really good. The free cover charge is also nice and convenient, so you really get what you pay for. Recommended for both families and solo travelers. That said, I'll be back as soon as I can.
