20/08/2025: I had dinner at this pizzeria with my partner. We ordered two fish starters, a fried calamari, shrimp, and anchovy dish, a French fry, wine, water, and liqueur—all very good. We'll be back to try the pizza, which we've heard is one of the best in the area.

18/08/2025: Truly brutal place, the staff should be changed jobs, rude, ill-mannered, ignorant, and the owner doesn't know how to manage. They made us wait 3 hours for food, and my dish never arrived, which I refused to eat given it was midnight! The bill was out of line, children were crying because they were hungry. The food was so bad, we spent so much, and after a 3-hour wait, I wouldn't set foot in there again.

03/09/2025: I was at this restaurant on August 27th. The entrance was sad, but the outside area was beautiful. The food (we only ordered fish) was really good and fresh. We waited 20 minutes to order, with one waiter for the entire outside area. It's absurd! After the waiter arrived, tragedy struck: they didn't have any wine. It's okay, they'd be closing for the season soon, but you have to have wine in a restaurant; it's absurd that they don't have one. The waiter who took our order couldn't speak, he was practically a troglodyte, just like the other waiters, who were absurdly incompetent. He brought us the appetizer, and I asked what "merca caldo/ freddo" was, and the answer was "I DON'T KNOW!" You bring a dish and you don't even know what you're holding, but everything's fine. "Improvised waiters," that's the answer. We went to pay the bill, €350.00, which we had to split since we were two couples with multiple children (there were nine of us in total). The cashier's response was, "YOU DO IT, I DON'T DO IT," incredibly rude. In conclusion, you have a very nice restaurant, practically on the beach. Try to change the way you respond to customers, serve them more correctly and competently, otherwise CLOSE YOUR BUSINESS.

16/09/2025: I've been coming to L'Aquila D'Oro for years, and every time it feels like coming home. The cuisine is authentically homemade and exudes all the warmth and passion of the family that runs it. In the kitchen, mom Elisabetta and Giuseppe prepare wonderful dishes, bursting with flavor and tradition. In the dining room, dad Salvatore and Giovanni always welcome you with a smile and a rare warmth: the hospitality here is truly special. I recommend everyone try the tripe, one of the restaurant's most incredible specialties: flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. L'Aquila D'Oro isn't just for good food, but for an experience of family, hospitality, and authentic cuisine. A place I will always hold in my heart.

08/09/2025: Overall, a positive experience. The only drawback was the lack of mosquito nets, which prevented us from opening the windows at night, preventing us from enjoying the fresh air at night. We therefore opted to use the air conditioning units, which were present and worked well, for longer periods of time.

14/09/2025: We ordered tortellini once and a 4-course meal once. The food was delicious and seemed to be completely homemade. We were here outside of school holidays, and the food arrived quickly enough. The portions are large. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish it all. I absolutely don't understand why several people here describe the food as bad. Give "La locanda del re" a try 🙂! It's worth it. Attached is a photo of the appetizer platter.

05/09/2025: There were two of us, so we ordered an appetizer and two gnocchi alla sorrentina. Everything was delicious, with plenty of choice, and especially the option of a set menu that offered a wide range of dishes, including coffee and a digestif, at a great price. The restaurant is visually distinctive, but we ate outside. It was a truly evocative experience, thanks in part to the view of the magnificent castle. I would return.

02/09/2025: Truly excellent, both the owner and the young man who works there are friendly and quite helpful. The pizza is truly excellent, both stuffed and Margherita. I recommend the 4 Formaggi, which is really good. The free cover charge is also nice and convenient, so you really get what you pay for. Recommended for both families and solo travelers. That said, I'll be back as soon as I can.

18/08/2025: I stayed at the Hotel Lo Scoiattolo long enough to recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant, relaxing stay. The staff deserves five stars for their kindness and hospitality...especially Sandra, who manages the spa, who guided us through the entire experience with kindness and knowledge. Kudos also to the staff in the dining room and the receptionist. Dinner and breakfast were plentiful and high-quality. My only suggestion for the spa experience: given the number of people who can use it, it would be advisable to turn on all the hot tubs to avoid long waits, and to raise the temperature of the pool that is not being used by everyone because it is too low. Recommended.

05/10/2025: The pizzas by the slice are good, as are the arancini and potato croquettes. The panzerotto, called a calzone, is special, similar to the fried one in Brindisi but sweeter. Overall, there's a good selection, it's a shame you can't find meatballs, which would be a great addition.

01/09/2025: It's a shame to have to confirm, in one place, both triumph and fall, good and evil. On the one hand, I can only praise what still lingers on the palate: the softness of the filled leavened pastry, enveloped in a delicate yet flavorful custard, vanished in a flash, a victim of my unstoppable greed. Nor can I remain silent about the almond pastry, which, though I'd never loved it, in this case won me over to the point of igniting a secret and unexpected love. But on the other hand, alas, not the taste but the tone. The attitude of the person manning the counter seemed to tell us that our very existence was a nuisance: few smiles, little cordiality, and that subtle aura of impatience that ill-suits those who live on diners and vacationers. Let me be clear: I'm not asking you to sacrifice quality on the altar of service: the art of baking is too precious. But at least the humble gesture of a smile, a kind word, the knowledge that here aren't just customers, but souls seeking refreshment and memories of the sea. And so, while the custard still dances in my memories, the bitter thought remains that here, sugar abounds in every dessert, but it's not enough to sweeten the soul of those behind the counter.

14/07/2025: Pesce FRESCO E DI OTTIMA QUALITA'. PERSONALE GARBATO. LOCATION GRAZIOSA. Prezzi esagerati soprattutto in relazione alle quantità servite particolare limitate. Offrite come 1/6 dell'antipasto una sola alicetta marinata mi sembra davvero irridente. Così come pagare per due acque da litro 8 euro, salvo errori della cassa!
