28/09/2025: We spent two wonderful days, there were seven of us, my whole family, the owners were polite people, always available and polite, the structure was clean, tidy and excellent, all the comforts, rooms always top, clean and fragrant, abundant breakfast, nothing was missing, everything you asked for was already there after a short time, smiling and helpful staff, we had dinner in their restaurant there also excellent, excellent and abundant food and normal prices, thank you for everything and we will see you very much price, the stra I recommend to everyone🫂

26/04/2025: Sentivo parlare con entusiasmo di questo ristorante da un paio d’anni, raramente mi sono trovata a far corrispondere ogni parola del mio pur stimato promotore, incline ad elogiare la qualità dei territori, in ogni aggettivo qualificativo. Non vi resta che fare autonomamente esperienza di gentilezza, gusto, qualità dei prodotti, fantasia e rispetto della tradizione senza rinunciare alla interpretazione in chiave contemporanea dei piatti di un paesaggio antico.

07/07/2025: On the occasion of a weekend in Melfi for two consecutive days we preferred to dine at Mario. Excellent crispy pizza with a particularly good flavor, very kind staff reasonable price. What can I say I recommend you try it to believe it. Good pizza to everyone.

08/09/2025: I'm from the area. I confess I'm not a fan of eating out, but when I really have to make an exception, Agriturismo Sant'Agata is our first choice. Halfway between Melfi and Rapolla, in a panoramic location overlooking the east from a relaxing viewpoint in the parking lot courtyard, Sant'Agata offers a rustic and welcoming setting, where the (exceptional) appetizers tantalize the palate long before moving on to the first courses: my favorite is the strozzapreti with butter and sage. The roast meats are always popular, and the homemade desserts are plentiful.
The location is so pleasant that you'd never want to leave. The price is adequate for the service.

03/09/2025: Traditional cuisine in a brand-new yet quaint restaurant. The host is incredibly friendly and the food is excellent. The braised beef is mouth-watering!
31/08/2025: Let's just say I would have liked a more unique sauce for the first course. But I still appreciated the gluten-free penne with tomato sauce. Then there was an excellent meat stew and the jacket potato. The pistachio dessert was amazing. Interesting grappas. All of this was absolutely gluten-free. They were excellent. For those with gluten, they made fabulous ricotta ravioli. It's definitely a place I'll return to.

They would have been better off focusing on the local cuisine, which is excellent.

Pizzeria Trattoria del Ponticello

20/09/2025: We were looking for a place near our hotel to get back quickly, and we returned twice more. The meat dishes were good, and the pizza with various types of dough was also a pleasant surprise.
Good value for money.
20/09/2025: The pizza was edible, the only good thing was the fries, the waiting times were immense, we ordered at 9.30 and received the pizza at 10.50, unacceptable.

22/09/2025: Just a few words to say that we ate terribly, the worst pizza I've ever eaten, burnt chips, and a long wait despite three occupied tables...never again.........PS I don't understand why there are reviews dating back years and years...
21/09/2025: Three tables in total in the restaurant on a Sunday evening; we waited to be seated, then to order. The portion of fries we ordered arrived burned, almost black, bitter, inedible... the pizza, even worse, was a stone slab. The one with king trumpet mushrooms was just Bordeaux with three pieces of mushrooms on top and two raw cherry tomatoes, while the sausage and fries bar had RAW sauce, and to cut it I'll have to wear a wrist brace for at least a week... in any case, if you're hungry, forget it, because if you arrive hungry, you'll have to eat anyway, pay, and go home and get the whole jar of brioche, hopefully, and they won't hospitalize me with colic.
In short, a terrible experience.
