28/01/2025: We came to this place almost as a last resort. Excellent surprise. Characteristic with an open counter for meats, cured meats and cheeses. Attentive and helpful service. I haven't eaten such good and tasty meat in a long time. Puree of broad beans and chard like grandma's, strips with delicious mushrooms, cut a little tough but with superlative meat. The house wine alone deserves a return, not to mention the home-made focaccia. Excellent value for money. Try it

14/12/2024: Home deliveries are always hugely late and the pizzas arrive hopelessly cold. The portions of fried food are miserable. The prices are normal but the service leaves a lot to be desired.

I am very happy to have walked into this amazing restaurant alone because the local guests are ver welcoming.

24/11/2024: Eccezionale. Cucina sublime. Tonio, lo chef, è davvero un professionista ai fornelli (a Melfi è sicuramente, di gran lunga, il migliore). Ristorante idoneo per tutte le esigenze della famiglia, o serate con amici, o pranzi di lavoro. Prodotti ottimi e freschissimi (nulla di surgelato, neanche le cotolette per i ragazzi, come spesso ci capita altrove). La cortesia e gentilezza di Manola, tra l'altro, sono esemplari. Sono anni che frequento questo locale, con la famiglia, amici o per affari, e non ha mai deluso, anzi con gli anni migliora di continuo. Rapporto qualità - prezzo decisamente ottimo. Favoloso. Da consigliare assolutamente.

14/02/2025: Quick lunch in Melfi. We tasted the Lucanian strascinati: satisfying portion, rustic flavor of sausage and tomato, truly excellent; good Aglianico braised meat. Starter like at home. Tasty homemade dessert. All good. Excellent prices. The very kind owner. Spartan but welcoming environment. Advised.

10/12/2024: I stumbled upon it by chance, the place was closed but the owner gave me food anyway. He cooked just for me. The courtesy and kind and polite ways really struck me. I am truly grateful to him. The food was excellent and genuine. I will definitely go back.

02/11/2024: Huge and super delicious yogurt, ice cream ditto, I paid very little for the quality they have. I highly recommend it to everyone.

06/09/2024: While waiting to check into the B&B, we had breakfast at Dolce Arte during a visit to Melfi and were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Donata, who served us with great attention. Thanks to his advice, we tried some soft and light artisanal staples, and a perfectly flaky and leavened "French" croissant. The cappuccinos, both with and without lactose, were impeccable, with a velvety foam without bubbles. Unfortunately we couldn't try the ice cream or the pizzas, but I have no doubt that they are equally delicious. What makes Dolce Arte special is the human warmth that distinguishes it from the anonymous experiences of metropolises or shopping centres. W the South and W Donata! Good work!

02/01/2025: Realtà sorprendente. Vito e Gabriele, rispettivamente chef e sommelier, sono due fratelli che hanno nel dna la cucina e la cultura dell’ospitalità, preziosa eredità di famiglia. Tutto è curato nei minimi dettagli. Piatti della tradizione rivisitati con innovazione e raffinatezza. Cantina sbalorditiva: migliaia di etichette in una location dedicata che lascia a bocca aperta. Allego una brevissima rassegna fotografica che purtroppo rende solo in minima parte quello che si può trovare e l’esperienza che si può vivere a La Villa.

31/12/2024: Io credo che nella zona sia il ristorante più indicato per una cena importante. Il cibo è delizioso e l’ambiente è ben curato. C’è molta cura nei dettagli ed hanno una cantina bellissima.

09/02/2025: Saturday night to forget! Don't leave the old road for the new one! In this case, don't leave a well-known pizzeria for a new one to try. I did a Google search to change the environment and place and not always go to the same pizzerias but it went badly as it was the first time. My wife and I had a first course and a pizza. We both had a big screw-up. The first one I ate cavatelli with cod and bran peppers was cooked very badly. I had it on my stomach all evening. The pizza with dough not grown well and poor quality tomatoes including tuna and without a drop of oil. Overall I give it 2 out of 10! I will never go again. Finally, I advise the cashier to be more smiling and perhaps ask the customer if they enjoyed the dinner, so you leave them thinking that you took care of the customer and thank them. It's a shame that a Saturday night went like this!
