01/08/2025: Pur evidenziando l’indubbia ed eccellente qualità delle portate, quello che rende la cena indimenticabile è la professionalità, l’attenzione ai dettagli e la cortesia di tutto il personale. Il cliente è davvero messo al primo posto e viene attenzionato e coccolato per accompagnarlo attraverso un’esperienza impareggiabile. Questo ristorante è davvero una perla rara.

31/07/2025: Una cena perfetta. Pesce ottimo e servizio impeccabile. Ci siamo sentiti coccolati dal primo istante sino alla fine della nostra cena. Peccato solo non sia ubicato a Bergamo! Professionalità al top e un'empatia purtroppo ormai sempre più rara nella ristorazione.

03/11/2025: The pizza was perfect. Many other things looked good too. A salad for €10 with EU-produced, tasteless blend of olive oil from a hotspot for olive oils? Salt from a large salt shaker that belongs in the kitchen, not on the table. Vinegar that also belongs in the kitchen. If I'm going to have a salad, it should have decent ingredients or not at all. Good olive oil, good vinegar, and usually clean salt and pepper shakers. So, the price-performance ratio isn't right for anything other than pizza. I won't be going back. Sorry.

01/11/2025: A wonderful discovery in Melfi! Braceria Rauseo offers a high-end culinary experience: the products are excellent, the raw materials are top-quality, and the dishes are original and never boring. The portions are generous, and the prices aren't cheap, but they're moderate and absolutely fair for the quality and quantity served. The stracotto is a must-try: incredibly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Special praise goes to the lady in the dining room, attentive, courteous, and very professional: she adds a touch of warmth that makes the dinner even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

15/10/2025: Very nice little restaurant, the lemon spritz was very refreshing. The pizza was fabulous, and the bruschetta was our favorite! We tried a small slice of tart, which was also delicious. Very good service. If you're passing through Matera, this restaurant is worth a stop.

01/10/2025: Delicious food, featuring dishes that rediscover traditional cuisine, explained by the owner, a very knowledgeable and courteous gentleman. I recommend it to everyone, whether celiac or not. If you're passing through Matera, you can't miss it.

17/06/2025: Really great restaurant, we went to eat on a holiday. If you are looking for an authentic experience, with typical dishes in a welcoming and familiar environment, here the service is impeccable. A special thanks goes to the cook, a lady who, at the end of the meal, takes the time to come into the room to personally ask if everything went well — simply perfect!

02/10/2025: Welcoming atmosphere, quality food, very friendly and helpful staff. Lunch costs around €20 per person. Off-menu dishes are also available, except on holidays. Takeout is available every day, with a wide selection. On Wednesdays and Fridays, the menu features fresh fish from the fishmonger. In the evening, you can also order pizza, which is very good. Highly recommended.

28/08/2025: We ate excellent traditional dishes in a warm, family atmosphere! Fresh, high-quality ingredients prepared with care and prompt, attentive service! We'll definitely be back! I'm updating this review by adding that it's now become a regular stop every time we come to Potenza. The pizzas are also excellent!

22/10/2025: Its a very lovely place if you are looking for easy food. He’s got locally grown food and wine, simple dishes but very tasty. Its an easygoing atmosphere and he asks for easygoing guest who are looking for a feeling like being at home. The owner seems a little introvert and nerdy but has a very lovely and shy character, aiming to accommodate his guests at its best abilities. Ask for the house red which is made by him. It is absolutely delicious.

09/10/2025: Baccanti in Matera is a beautiful restaurant set inside the historic caves, which creates a truly unique and atmospheric setting. The food was excellent, carefully prepared, full of flavor, and presented with great attention to detail. The wine list is also very well curated, with many interesting choices that pair perfectly with the dishes. Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was affected by the seating arrangements. The restaurant does not seem to pay much attention to how tables are placed in the room. We were seated right next to the toilets and beside a very loud group, which made it hard to fully enjoy the wonderful food and atmosphere. For such a high-level restaurant, more consideration for guest comfort and ambiance would make a big difference.

05/10/2025: AVOID! The worst meal we had in the whole of our Puglia and Matera holiday. The floor around our table had not been swept. Unfriendly welcome, arrogant staff and generally tasteless food, especially for vegetarians. The supposedly warm starters were cold, and I wasn’t given the chance to taste the wine before it was poured. There are so very many better eating options in the town than this place.

11/10/2025: We stayed at Borgo la Tana during the two central weeks of August. The property is beautiful, with well-kept gardens and spacious rooms—ours, a mini-apartment—with a small table and chairs outside to enjoy the cool evening breeze. The rooms are extremely clean and practical, equipped with drying racks, handy soap dispensers for both shower and hand soap, and a wall-mounted hairdryer. The entire staff was very friendly, from the cleaning ladies, always ready with a smile and ready to "fix" the mess on the beach, like sand and pebbles everywhere, to the waiters, who were also present but not pushy. The cuisine is varied, with both local and non-local meat and fish dishes, and there is a discreet and efficient restaurant manager who oversees the main meals. The property's true treasure, however, is Mr. Aldo, a man in love with his homeland, provided us with information on the main beaches to visit and any special offers available at the resorts, right from the first evening. He also provided pocket-sized brochures to take with us to reach our desired destinations. Finally, a special mention for the self-service breakfast we enjoyed every morning: homemade cakes, traditional pastries, fresh figs picked every morning, and honeycomb! 23/09/2025: We arrived as guests for a few nights. The rooms were excellent, clean, and the air conditioning worked well. On the first evening, we enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. It was tidy and the service very friendly. For us, it was very bright, which perhaps made the atmosphere a little less romantic. You can clearly see what you're eating. Both the tuna and the swordfish were overcooked and dry, but that might be due to the Southern Italian way of preparing them. For hotel guests, there's a breakfast buffet next to the pool. When we arrived, we thought it was a sandwich shop, but you can point to what you want and it's brought to you. Again, the service was very friendly. Swimming caps were required for the pool, an old Italian tradition we've encountered less and less frequently, this year only at Borgo La Tana.
