27/06/2025: Nice location, warm welcome, the kitchen is a bit slow, I expected something more for the appetizer, excellent pappardelle with porcini mushrooms, good arrosticini. We will return.
22/06/2025: Good morning, excellent meal consumed in company. The owners were very kind, I was contacted again for the free table despite the holiday in which the patron saint was celebrated. They welcomed us by offering us delicious extra courses off the menu, such as an amazing Black Angus carpaccio. After a magnificent lunch the owner offered a round of rum from his cellar. All the courses were excellent, worthy of the location which is surrounded by greenery. The local products such as sausages and appetizers of cured meats and cheeses were truly excellent. An experience that I highly recommend to everyone including families with children because the area is full of attractions. Thank you, Andrea.

17/06/2025: I rarely write a review but this time Davide and his restaurant deserve it. Exceptional food, from appetizer to dessert, I have rarely eaten so well. The service is equally exceptional with Davide who is an excellent host. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I returned to have dinner at the Pozzo. I confirm my opinion, best restaurant on the plateau. Serious cuisine, without truffle concoctions or false sophistication. They cook well, classic, good dishes, based on the raw materials, without cheating and cunning, a pleasant environment, compared to the competition I would say, elegant.
This time Abruzzo-style lamb, stewed, splendid. Quality cheeses, cabbage and potato side dishes and sautéed chicory, really well done.
They're good, period. Nice, elegant place carved into the rock on the top of Ovindoli but you can park nearby.
Highly recommended also for average prices in a place well above average.

23/02/2025: It's a very cozy retreat where you can have breakfast, a snack or lunch. After skiing, I stopped for a break and had a fruit tart with cream. It was super good, with fresh and genuine ingredients!
The environment is pleasant, perfect for relaxing and recharging your energy. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you are in the area, I recommend making a stop

26/04/2025: If you are looking for homemade food, excellent and plentiful, a familiar and simple environment, in the positive meaning of the term, efficient and kind service, a beautiful sensation of feeling at HOME....then you must go and eat in this restaurant! My husband and I went there twice in a few days and we tasted both the first courses and the meat, everything was really excellent!

09/06/2025: Su 4 primi, tutte le porzioni di pasta erano scarse, impiattati nei piatti piani.
2 arrosti misti sono risultati carenti in rapporto col prezzo.
Vino della casa: pessima qualità.
Prezzi esorbitanti, altro che da "Trattoria"...da ristorante!
Menù attaccato alla colonna in mezzo al locale aveva prezzi diversi dal menù consegnato al tavolo: esempio? Coperto 1,50€ sul menù affisso, 2€ invece, sul menù al tavolo.
Morale della favola: siamo usciti con fame e molto scontenti.
Esperienza deludente.
25/04/2025: Posto informale, cucina semplice, ma molto buona. Sembra di mangiare cibo cucinato dalla mamma o dalla nonna, fatto in casa. Tutto molto buono e genuino.

08/02/2025: Siano stati per la prima volta in questo ristorante e ci siamo trovati benissimo! Cibo ottimo! Arrosticini e antipasto misto buonissimi! Lo stesso vale per i dolci: tiramisu e tortino al cioccolato top! la gradita sorpresa è stata non aver pagato la pasta al sugo per il mio bimbo tantomeno il coperto per lui. La pastina l'avevo portata io, ma l'abbiamo comunque condita con sugo e parmigiano! Veramente super gentili! ci tornaremo sicuramente e lo consiglio vivamente!!!

13/02/2025: Frequento questo posto da 30 anni e fortunatamente non ha deluso i miei ricordi, anzi. La recente ristrutturazione gli ha dato pregio, sembra di stare in un'elegante baita tirolese! Ottimi la polenta con salsicce e spuntature, i ravioli ricotta e spinaci e gli gnocchetti al ragù, buoni e ben cotti gli arrosticini. Prezzi onesti e servizio veloce e cortese. Una garanzia.
24/01/2025: Locale piccola ma grazioso, menu tipico, semplice e variegato: selvaggina ottima così come i formaggi e le loro salsine di accompagnamento; i primi non da meno, super abbondanti e conditi. Nota ancor più positiva e l’ottima musica di sottofondo. Unica pecca consiglierei ai camerieri di fare un sorriso in più, che è il miglior condimento!

01/06/2025: Location surrounded by greenery with a view of Piana del Fucino. Open-plan home cooking with grilled meat prepared on the spot. Today I had an appetizer with seasoned raw ham and seasoned and also fresh cheeses, homemade fettuccine with lamb sauce, brontosaurus steak and a side dish of potatoes. Staff led by Simone as always at the top for courtesy and availability. Talking about price with a full belly is always a pleasure. Definitely average and with an excellent quality/price ratio. We have already been there at least 100 times and will return many more times. A guarantee!

A sober, clean place but definitely dignified in its simplicity...the owner welcomed us as if we were family.
The wisdom consolidated by years of activity was highlighted in the cooking of the meats which are partly from his own breeding and the rest in any case from the immediate vicinity...

25/04/2025: Tutto molto buono e porzioni abbondanti. Ambiente molto confortevole con bellissima vista sulle montagne. Volendo è possibile mangiare su una bella terrazza.
23/01/2025: Personale del bar maleducato, mi sono seduta per allattare mio figlio naturalmente coperta anche perché sono la prima a vergognarmi ed il ragazzo (mezzo biondino che avrà avuto più di 20 anni ) che serviva al bar mi ha detto di andare al bagno e allattare, perché non era una bella scena. Allora gli ho detto che non potevo allattare in piedi in bagno e che mio figlio di 5 mesi piangeva aveva bisogno di essere allattato, lui si è arrabbiato e voleva cacciarmi, una signora ha visto la scena ed ha parlato con l’altra ragazza del bar e mi ha fatto accomodare tranquillamente.
Cose assurde, non penso che facevo del male a nessuno, non ero in mezzo al ristorante ma in un angolo e se allattavo era solo per necessità.
Cambiate personale o almeno ditegli di avere un po’ di tatto che tutti abbiamo avuto una mamma.
Naturalmente dopo che ho finito sono andata via, anche se mio marito che non ha visto la scena ma mi ha raggiunto dopo insisteva a rimanere per mangiare ma dopo essere stata trattata così col cavolo che rimanevo.

16/03/2025: Pranzo eccellente, per un ristorante che a distanza di anni si conferma una garanzia. Abbiamo provato più antipasti, con le bruschette miste esorbitanti nella quantità e nel gusto, a cui abbiamo unito anche un ottimo primosale sulla brace al centerbe. Tra i secondi prelibata la scamorza con guanciale e tartufo, ma in generale chiunque vorrà gustare affettati e formaggi non rimarrà deluso.
