23/02/2025: Excellent non-Neapolitan pizzeria: excellent pizzas, very light, crunchy and highly digestible thanks to the very long leavening, cooking in a wood oven and the quality of the ingredients used.
Even though it was a Saturday evening and the pizzeria was packed (with a double shift), we were served quickly and by the highly helpful and very courteous staff.
Don't follow the directions on Google Maps, because the pizzeria is right in the center on a very narrow street where it is impossible to park, but park in the large car park under the main square of Rocca San Giovanni, which is just 250 m from the pizzeria.
Excellent value for money. Overall, highly recommended.
17/02/2025: It is not possible to pay a cover charge of €2.50 each and eat on a paper placemat. You cannot accept a 1 liter bottle of water for €3.

10/11/2024: Unfortunately, after this experience, I can say that I have definitively put an end to what for years was a fixed appointment for me at Cavalluccio. Every summer it was a tradition to go and eat there, but this year, due to what happened, I won't be going back again.
Last August, I went to lunch with my few month old baby. Once seated at the table, we ordered a fish first course. While I had my son in my arms, the dish, very hot, arrived and he, for a moment, put his hand inside, burning his finger. In a panic, I jumped up to protect him, and in the process the plate fell to the floor. I immediately took my son to the bathroom, who was crying desperately from fear.
Upon my return to the table, I expected to find a more attentive situation and at least an apology or intervention from the staff. Instead, I found nothing. No one approached me to ask if anything had happened or to offer to fix the situation. When the waiters came to collect the dishes, they did so without even cleaning or making the slightest gesture of attention, as if nothing had happened.
I was really disappointed by the behavior of the staff and, unfortunately, this experience has convinced me that I will never return. It's a real shame, because for many years it was a place I loved, but this time it was too much.

23/02/2025: The restaurant with the most beautiful view on the Trabocchi coast. I hadn't been back for a long time, new management has given the place an elegant but at the same time welcoming feel. Very good fish cuisine, in the tradition of the area but "dressed up" with contemporary presentations. Just one piece of advice, the prawn tartare had to be defrosted first, you could still feel ice inside. Some dishes lacked a little salt to my taste, but the fish undoubtedly needs to be treated delicately. In any case, the restaurant is one of the best in the area and the prices are absolutely adequate.

08/01/2025: Terrible experience, we waited an hour for a plate of pasta. Staff not professional at all.
02/01/2025: One of the historic restaurants on the Trabocchi coast specializing above all in brodetto which is really very good.
The quality of the fish is excellent, the menu has a fair range of dishes and is cooked very well.
Also on the choice of wines, many from the area and for all budgets.
Young staff but with a good margin for improvement.
I definitely recommend it.

26/07/2024: Le intenzioni e lo stato d’animo erano dei migliori visto l’entusiasmo che le recensioni avevano in noi animato. Nulla di più fuorviante. Nessuna accoglienza (se non da parte del bravo cameriere) anzi totale indifferenza del proprietario presente e che durante tutto il tempo del pranzo ,per nulla di livello, non ci ha degnato neanche di una parola . Nessuna cura elementare verso il cliente. Imbarazzante! L’unica nota positiva è stata la simpatia di Maurizio ( il cameriere) che ha “mitigato” il disappunto dato dalla totale mancanza di professionalità e dall’assenza di “ calore” del proprietario che a malapena ci ha rivolto la parola solo al momento del conto. . Avremmo voluto conferire con lui anche per conoscere e capire i segreti di tanta positività espressa nelle recensioni, e la storia di questo trabocco e altro. Per quanto ci riguarda, pessima esperienza che, qui non ripeteremo piú. Grazie e complimenti SOLO esclusivamente a Maurizio che merita un contesto migliore.
24/07/2024: Sono di Pescara e ho mangiato in.tanti ristoranti di pesce ma un posto così bello, un'accoglienza cosi fantastica e un cibo così eccellente non l'avevo ancora trovato...complimenti vivissimi a tutti...consigliatissimo!!!!!!

Trabocco Punta Cavalluccio

10/11/2024: Unieke ervaring om te lunchen op een trabocco, voormalige visinstallatie boven de zee. In veruit de meeste zit tegenwoordig een restaurant, maar deze is niet alleen prachtig gelegen (geen doorgaande weg of fietspad te zien), maar ook het eten is hier bijzonder goed. Het vaste lunchmenu bestaat al allerlei vis, schaal- en schelpdieren en wordt in een prettig tempo geserveerd. Reken op minstens 3 uur voor de lunch. De bediening is uiterst vriendelijk. Reserveren noodzakelijk. Toiletten op het vasteland zijn bereikbaar via de loopbrug. Er is een prive parkeerplaats bij het restaurant. Er is ook een pittoresk klein strandje direct voor de trabocco.
28/10/2024: Tuvimos una excelente comida a la hora del almuerzo en Trabocco Punta Cavalluccio un sábado a finales de septiembre. La ubicación, el ambiente, la calidad de la comida y el servicio fueron un punto culminante de nuestras vacaciones italianas.
Tuvimos algunos retrasos de tráfico en nuestro viaje y llegamos tarde para nuestra reserva. Sin embargo, nos sentamos rápida y amablemente en una mesa que miraba a la orilla y el océano.
La comida que llegó durante las siguientes dos horas era fresca, perfectamente cocinada, maravillosamente sabrosa, y extraordinaria en su cantidad. En total teníamos 13 mariscos diferentes, servidos tanto de manera tradicional como no tradicional. Me encanta el vongole italiano. Los que llegaron fueron de los mejores que he tenido - extremadamente pequeño y dulce. Las otras porciones fueron igualmente buenas.
Apreciamos que éramos los únicos estadounidenses allí ese día. Dos grandes familias italianas estaban celebrando cumpleaños - prestando a un ambiente verdaderamente alegre. . Fue ruidoso, estridente en el buen sentido y tremendamente divertido.
Cuando llegó nuestra factura le señalé a nuestro servidor que pensé que se había olvidado de incluir nuestras copas de vino en la factura. ¡Indicó que estaban incluidos en el precio de la comida! Tuvimos varias comidas mientras estábamos en Italia que eran cerca de $ 200 euros por persona. Ninguno era tan bueno como este y para 60 euros por persona esto era una ganga extraordinaria.
La experiencia de Trabocco es imperdible y nuestra visita a Trabocco Punta Cavalluccio no será olvidada.

21/04/2024: Antipasti caldi e freddi in perfetta armonia e spaghettoni agli scambi sgusciati con peperoni di Altino superbi! Ogni ingrediente top al posto giusto! Complimenti! Chi vuole spendere poco vada altrove perché la qualità si paga ma qui è veramente ben pagata!
