It was satisfying but lacked that extra spark to make it truly special. The service was a bit of a rollercoaster. It took the staff a while to take our order, which was slightly frustrating, but once the order was in, the delivery of the dishes was impressively swift. Their attentiveness improved as the meal went on, and they were polite and accommodating throughout. The cozy atmosphere added a nice touch, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal, even if it lacked a distinct charm. Shri Ganesh is a reliable spot for a comforting Indian meal, but it doesn’t quite hit the mark for a truly standout dining experience.

06/01/2025: Delicious Indian food! I particularly love the attention given to different spices in the dishes. The starters were good but I have had better poppadum, it was just a little too thin and paper-y. But the sauces that accompanied the bread were unique, well-explained, and well-paired. We had some lamb samosas that were good. For a main I had the prawns malai and it had a vibrant taste of cardamom, my favorite spice, and the curry was perfectly tender and sweet. I tried some of my mom's daal which was also spiced incredibly well, and the lentils were cooked to a good softness. I also liked the butter chicken and the tikka masala, tasted solid and classic. Staff were very kind albeit they seemed a bit confused and absent at times, especially when I asked about recommendations, but it's okay because everything was super tasty!! :) I also really like the interior, it's colorful and fun.

01/01/2025: We spent New Year's Eve here by chance. We saw an affordable menu with very good things via The Fork and we tried it. It couldn't have been a better choice: an intimate venue with attention to every detail; exquisite food and perfect service. We will keep this in mind and will definitely return also because we have seen that the à la carte menu has really very good prices and with this quality of food, it is really worth it!

28/12/2024: Shanti is now the trusted Indian restaurant when you want to spend little (even for dinner!) while enjoying traditional flavours. The restaurant is small and "rustic", offering fixed menus for lunch and dinner but with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Any appetizers to be added are also very reasonably priced. The owner is also very kind!

20/10/2024: If you are looking authentic different type is sabzi / curry in Indian cuisine. It would be nice places. Desi pickles , kaddi , dal makhani. You have choose three pre cooked curry and one rice. Thanks Mohan JI for tasty desi food at Italy .

06/01/2025: I went to Himalaya for dinner last night with my boyfriend and this morning I'm still thinking about how good the food was! How wonderful! Perfect, hot dishes, delicious sauces! Not heavy at all! I love it! We will definitely be back! (Ah the really kind staff😍) very good! 😍

23/12/2024: We visited this restaurant as a big group of nine, including three kids. Despite our last-minute reservation, the staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming. The service was exceptional, with all the staff being friendly and going out of their way to cater to our needs. We tried a variety of dishes, including prawn tandoori, chicken tandoori, and the veg potato tandoori for starters. For the mains, we enjoyed the fish masala curry, chicken curry, chicken biryani, and a comforting dal tadka for the kids. The food was flavorful, and we particularly appreciated how they tailored dishes to suit the kids’ preferences. The standout feature of our visit was the hospitality. The staff made us feel at home and ensured the kids were comfortable throughout the meal. Their attentiveness truly enhanced our experience. If you’re visiting Milan, I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for its excellent service and warm hospitality. The food deserves a solid four stars, and the overall experience was fantastic!

08/01/2025: I was feeling very unwell at this point in my trip and I was in desperate need of chicken soup or just any soup really and when I did a Google search of soup in the neighbourhood I was staying in this place came up and chicken soup is exactly what I ordered! I also ordered a samosa, lamb biryani and masala tea. I enjoyed my lunch (20 euros) and the waiter was very pleasant and did a great job. There were no other patrons perhaps because the middle of the day is very hot in the height of summer but I was so glad for the air conditioning. I was in dire need of food so I had to brave the heat. Location a stone's throw away from my accommodation so really convenient for me at the time.
