Cittamani In Milano

Dinner at Cittamani by Ritu Dalmia was a mixed experience. The food itself was genuinely good — well-prepared dishes, balanced flavors, and clearly thoughtful cooking. Unfortunately, the overall atmosphere and hospitality did not match the quality coming out of the kitchen. From the moment we arrived, the place felt rather cold and unwelcoming. The staff seemed disengaged throughout the evening, as if they were simply trying to get through the dinner service rather than create a pleasant dining experience. Service was not rude, but definitely lacked warmth, attentiveness, and the kind of hospitality you would expect from a restaurant of this level. It’s disappointing because the food deserves appreciation, but dining out is about the full experience, and here the ambiance and service left a lasting negative impression.

Superb Indian cuisine! I found the atmosphere and service to be subdued compared to the past. The place has lost some of its "atmosphere," and the staff, while very friendly, is sometimes a bit hasty and not particularly responsive to requests. Overall, an excellent culinary experience!

Nice location with comfortable tables and seating. The menu offers a variety of appetizers and main courses, along with some naan and side dishes. It's not your typical Indian dish; it's a very revisited version, but it's good. I had the fried chicken cutlet as an appetizer, and the chicken biryani in puff pastry for the main course, along with some very good spiced potatoes. Others had the lamb chops and various naan, which were also very good. For dessert, we tried the millefeuille, which was decent, but I found the mango dessert to be better. Overall, everything was very tasty. The staff was helpful and fairly quick. I recommend booking.

high price!, small portions. 8€ cheese naan which is not even the real desi naan is like paying 10€ for a cup of capuccino that taste like caffe latte. but overall good food.

Lovely food and atmosphere, great table service, but unfortunately the place would need some soundproofing, as it’s difficult to have even a normal-volume conversation.

The place is very welcoming... perhaps the acoustics aren't that great. The atmosphere is well-kept, the table service is excellent, and the staff is very friendly.

Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time to not miss out. We highly recommend this special place. It is relaxed and warm for weekly visits, yet elegant for date night or special occasions. The entire service team is exceptionally professional, led by the wonderful Mr. Rinzin. While there are great animal protein selections on the menu, vegetarians and vegans never fear, there is a very wide abundance of choice, each better than the next! The food is perfectly spiced, flavorful, and delightfully presented. We have loved many Indian restaurants in Milano, Cittamani is our absolute favorite.
