Ristorante Giapponese Sakura

29/09/2025: When we visited on a Sunday evening, everything was delicious. The dishes are many, unique and definitely different from those at competing restaurants, which lately all seem the same. At Sakura Ya, most of the dishes seem homemade, and the staff, extremely kind and fast, seem like they belong to a family rather than a brand. The location, a former church, certainly plays a part.
Besides sushi, the menu offers a wide variety of first and second courses, teppanyaki, and fried dishes, more than other similar restaurants, so I would recommend it even to those who aren't fans of raw fish or those with a few hesitant guests in their party.
The price is in line with its competitors (I'd even say slightly lower). Highly recommended.

14/10/2025: I just finished dinner in this modest restaurant full of tradition, love and dedication to one's work. I had the opportunity to speak with Davide the owner, a very pleasant and kind person present in the dining room. I highly recommend this restaurant, very fresh fish, abundant dishes, impeccable service and an excellent atmosphere and harmony if you want to end an evening as a couple or in company in the best possible way♥️ we will definitely be back
29/09/2025: Normal environment, not very big, there are no special or particular dishes but the quality of the fish is excellent.

23/09/2025: I've been for both lunch and dinner. Obviously, dinner offers much more, but the service is still good.
As an all-you-can-eat, I'd say it's the best in Mantua.
Excellent quality fish.

11/09/2025: The food was really bad, the quality was poor, the soy sauce wasn't good, and the service was poor. Luckily, there are better options nearby.
30/08/2025: An all-you-can-eat restaurant with a fairly varied menu, but several delicious dishes are missing. To make rolls with Venere rice, black rice is mixed with white rice to save money. Simply cooking them together turns the white rice a dark pink, but the difference between the two types of rice is noticeable during preparation. There's only a fork on the table; you have to order everything with a tablet, even the knife, chopsticks, and soy sauce. The dishes are average; the salmon tataki wasn't made properly because it wasn't seared and the sesame seeds were missing. The gunkan with frambé sauce had no sauce at all, just half a pistachio. What pleasantly surprised me, however, was finding whole flowers in the jasmine tea, not the usual teabag.

03/08/2025: The atmosphere is nice and the food is very good but there is no variety of choice and there are few types of sushi and when the food runs out of the tray you have to wait half an hour for more.
13/07/2025: It had been a while since I had been there, I must say that I found a quiet atmosphere with helpful and kind staff. Even as for food, I found a lot of variety with an affordable price for everyone.

27/08/2023: Sono andato un sabato a pranzo con la famiglia, il ristorante non era nemmeno pieno. Classico all you can eat con scelta dal menù fornito dei tipico piatti caldi e freddi da ristorante di sushi. La qualità del cibo è nella norma, ma il servizio si è dimostrato lentissimo, sono trascorso oltre 20 minuti dall'ordinazione prima che ci portassero la prima portata. E così via, ogni piatto era un'attesa snervante.
