28/02/2025: We stayed last summer in this elegant venue on the top floor of a luxury hotel. The outdoor rooftop is small, but has a fantastic view and a quiet, private atmosphere. We tried the aperitif option at 35 euros, more than valid from a quality-price point of view. The wines were excellent, the accompanying "tapas" were very good, if I remember correctly, 5 mini portions of dishes that I would have also ordered at the restaurant, certainly not simple snacks. The service was elegant and professional, with the staff truly courteous and nice. Interesting a la carte menu, prices higher than average, but given the location, it's absolutely fine. However, the a la carte dinner is served inside, while outside it is possible to take the 5-course tasting menu for 150 euros with wine pairing for 45 euros more. If you want to make an impression with an elegant and private location as well as a more than good culinary offering, you are in the right place!

07/02/2025: Gorgeous rooftop restaurant, amazing food, very scenic views! Celebrated my 18th birthday here the staff went above and beyond to make my meal special! Would recommend! It was very quiet during the week so definitely a great place for a private dinner :)

21/03/2025: First time at La Renardiere, magnificent dinner, we ordered a gratinated onion soup, quiche of the day with gorgonzola and radicchio and a meat fondue bourguignonne, all very good delicate and balanced flavors. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Affordable prices. We will definitely be back :)

22/02/2025: Raramente ho visto un ristorante cosi brutto, pacchiano, trascurato. Non saprei nemmeno da dove iniziare per descrivere tutto quello che non va, ad iniziare dal pavimento che grida vendetta per finire agli improbabili quadri di vario stile appesi a caso e storti. Il bagno è poco più  di una latrina e non è a norma, non avendo la seconda porta, non accessibile agli handicappati, ha sanitari vecchi, mattonelle sciupate e sporche, fiori di plastica ... un orrore. Ed andiamo oltre : i cuscinetti delle sedie hanno tutti l'etichetta dell'ikea che penzola fuori dallo schienale. Un po' d'occhio non guasterebbe. Tutto è trascurato. E veniamo alla tavola : il.coltello per il burro si piega da quanto è sottile. Il pane è vecchio, rassegato e per nulla francese. Il piatto dell'antipasto gourmand sembra un piatto di Vietri, o di Grottaglie ma non francese. Presentazione dei piatti penosa, pietanze mediocremente cucinate. Salsa bernaise insapore, salsa tartare acida. Filetto mediocre. Dolci scarsi. Si salva solo il personale gentilissimo. Conto salato Non torneremo mai più

04/02/2025: Fino a qualche mese fa avrei consigliato il locale, sia per il menù che per la location e l’atmosfera, ma dopo l’esperienza di ottobre 2024 non ci sono mai più tornata. Non basta un arredamento curato e un’atmosfera raffinata per rendere un locale all’altezza delle aspettative: se la gestione è approssimativa e il servizio scadente, l’eleganza è solo apparenza. Dopo aver prenotato in anticipo il tavolo sulle scale – e dopo aver perso tempo al telefono con camerieri, caposala, maître e persino il direttore, che sembravano più impegnati a scaricarsi la responsabilità che a risolvere la richiesta – ci era stato confermato che il tavolo fosse nostro. Eppure, arrivati in perfetto orario rispetto alla prenotazione fatta, lo troviamo occupato. Come se non bastasse, il personale ha avuto persino il coraggio di negare di avercelo riservato, contraddicendosi più volte con giustificazioni che rasentavano la presa in giro. Prima ci dicono che i clienti erano lì dalle 19:30 (come a sottintendere che fossero più “meritevoli” di restare seduti), poi che stavano pagando… peccato che, dopo un’attesa di quasi mezz’ora fuori dal locale, fossero ancora comodamente al loro posto. Il trattamento riservato a noi, clienti abituali, è stato imbarazzante: zero considerazione, zero professionalità. Nemmeno un cenno di scuse, nemmeno un aggiornamento sulla situazione. Il caposala – o chi per lui – ci è passato accanto con l’indifferenza di chi pensa di lavorare in un posto di prestigio, senza rendersi conto che la vera qualità si misura nel servizio, non nel prezzo dei drink. Ovviamente abbiamo preferito non perdere altro tempo e siamo andati da Ginger - Corte Laica, dove, come sempre, siamo stati accolti con la cortesia e l’attenzione che un cliente dovrebbe ricevere ovunque. Per rendere un posto davvero esclusivo non bastano un bel design e un menù costoso: se chi serve ai tavoli si comporta con sufficienza e arroganza, l’unico lusso che rimane è quello di scegliere di non tornarci mai più.

03/03/2025: As soon as we arrived we were welcomed impeccably. We had booked by informing the venue that we also had a small poodle and they, in a very nice way, made us find a mat for Tom Thumb and a bowl of water upon our arrival :D. The staff is very professional, attentive to the room and does not exceed in their familiarity with customers. The service is quick and attentive. We took a round pizza (exceptional dough and seasoning), a suppli (made by them...spectacular!!), a bruschetta (tomato, buffalo mozzarella and anchovies...perfect), some grilled salmon (exceptional raw material) and sautéed chicory (excellent, perhaps slightly too spicy). Then we also took a pistachio delight for dessert (spectacular) and the owner let us taste both a dessert made by him (like a bounty) and the sponge cake... all gluten-free but it was difficult to understand if he hadn't told us :D. Speaking of the owner... Mr. Gianfranco, at a certain point during the dinner, stopped by our table to see if everything was okay, he is a person who puts passion into his work (which he has been doing for some time) and welcomes the customer as if you were a guest coming to his home, so he wants to make you feel at ease and your satisfaction is the most important thing for him. He is very nice and welcomes all customers in the same way, obviously there could also be customers who don't like (but because it is now a rare attitude when you arrive in a place and we are increasingly an "asocial" society) this customer care, because perhaps it is intrusive (just read some reviews), but instead in my opinion it is nice that a person puts so much passion into what he does and I don't think he doesn't also have the intelligence to understand who he can have this attitude with and maybe who he can't. He is certainly a person who is also demanding of his staff, but this has a very positive result for the customer, because I have rarely seen such an efficient team of people, from the waiters to the kitchen staff. We will certainly go to visit them again, despite our distance. Highly recommended

02/03/2025: Excellent food quality. Exceptional meat dishes, quality fish and the pizza was also appreciated. The most appreciated thing was the friendliness and kindness of the staff, it really feels like being at home and the waiters take a lot of confidences but only in order to get a laugh, while remaining careful not to miss anything. Prices slightly above average for the area, but I would stay here again.

29/01/2025: Un’oasi nel deserto. Dal Francese e’ ormai una piccola grande istituzione nel quartiere Appio grazie alla proposta ricercata e di qualità tutta Made in France. Eccellente la scelta dei vini e piacevolissimo il menù che si compone di praticamente solo “entrate”. Tutto speciale e raffinato il giusto.

27/01/2025: Che luogo delizioso, fuori dal tempo e dallo spazio! Una volta entrati si viene avvolti dalla Francia e i suoi profumi. Cordialità, qualità e atmosfera. Vini deliziosi, cibo sfizioso. Non vedo l'ora di tornare!
