Da oramai tanti anni torniamo in questo magnifico ristorante che sembra aver fermato il tempo. Le pietanze, di qualità assoluta, vengono trattate con la cura che si deve alla cucina francese. Un plauso infine allo storico maître, per l'eleganza che riesce ad attribuire una professione di tutto rispetto, attraverso un servizio nobile, carico di charme e buongusto. Charly's sauciere, la gestione e il suo staff, continuano ad essere un patrimonio da tutelare nel tempo.

My favorite place, the lady is always so welcoming, a French gem in the San Giovanni district! Intimate and private, perfect for a couple and not only for groups! It has few seats but you can taste some really good things, which will leave you with culinary memories for weeks on end! My boyfriend and I will return when possible, the tartare will be prepared in front of you by a professional, if you have never tried it you absolutely must try the meat bourguignonne with all its spices and sauces to be applied when cooking! Desserts have a refined finishing touch like crepes or tarte tatin! I always go back, there's a lot of art in the location!

Charlie's has the inestimable quality of never changing. Beautiful things should not be changed. Here you spend an evening in a deliberately retro French bistro, pampered by the owner and all the staff. Between an onion soup and a Bordeaux fillet, a tartare artfully prepared at the table and a delicious crepe suzette, you will be spoiled for choice to spend a pleasant gourmet evening. Highly recommended.

Locale storico per chi ama la cucina francese, personale preparato estremamente cordiale e con uno charme tipico francese, prezzi e qualità allineati ai ristoranti parigini, paga l'assenza di voglia di rinnovarsi restando coerente a se stesso, sembra un locale fermo agli anni 90 ingresso anonimo quasi fosse una trattoria romana di second'ordine. Una buona alternativa per chi vuole provare dei piatti tipici francesi come la fondue o la bourguignonne

L'Eau Vive

03/04/2024: Every time I come to Rome, it is certain that I will return to Eau Vive. The reasons: 1) a kind, smiling, relaxed welcome 2) excellent food, tasty but also light and digestible 3) good value for money
02/04/2024: A restaurant run by nuns whose main menu is French cuisine. I don't know what French cuisine is like, but every dish served here was so delicious. In particular, the cooking method that brought out the flavor of the ingredients and the strength of the liver to suit Korean tastes was excellent. Even the Western cuisine I've tried anywhere in South America, America, Germany, or Italy couldn't match the taste here. Above all, the emotion I feel after finishing my meal and praying with the nuns is an added blessing.
