09/12/2024: Una vera chicca nel cuore di Fiorenzuola. Ci vado da anni ed è tutto ottimo. Si può mangiare di tutto,quindi mette d'accordo tutti. Personale molto simpatico ed alla mano. Ambiente piccolino,ma giusto così.

17/02/2025: You book and find out that you have to do self check-in, a practice prohibited by art. 109 of the Consolidated Law on Public Safety (TULPS) which requires direct identification of guests. You have to ask them to send you the code. Then they send you the wrong one. Cameras everywhere without signs, in violation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). They leave your key lying around with your name at the mercy of everyone (long live privacy). In the morning, no buffet ready because "you are the only guest". Last but not least, I didn't sleep a wink because the genius who renovated the place installed the fire sensor (flashing red) and the emergency light (with a fixed green LED) right above the bed. A piece of junk for the modest sum of 80+ euros a night. Definitely a place I don't recommend...

11/02/2025: Excellent hotel, very well looked after, the restaurant was also excellent with a selection of local dishes and wines which satisfied us very much. I would absolutely stay here again, thanks again.

08/02/2025: I'm a truck driver so I can't tell you about the hotel, but if it's like the restaurant I would give it 5 stars. We eat well. I've always had a good time the times I've stopped, large car park and there are showers.

09/02/2025: Non ero mai stato alla Locanda San Fiorenzo, ma devo dire che è stata una piacevolissima sorpresa. Tavolata da 7, comprese due bambine di 8 anni: spazi adeguati, distanza tra i vali tavoli molto abbondante e, quindi, "privacy" dei clienti al top. Il menù offre giustamente una proposta della tradizione piacentina e una più creativa: ovviamente si possono scegliere liberamente le portate senza nessun vincolo in quanto il tutto è "à la carte". Sono sempre previsti anche dei fuori menù, a seconda della stagione. Vasta la scelta dei vini. I titolari, Marco e Claudio, da buoni emiliani, sono persone molto simpatiche, cordiali e super professionali che vi accompagneranno in un'esperienza da ricordare. Prezzi molto corretti a fronte di una qualità indiscutibile. Consigliatissimo.

29/01/2025: Either you eat this soup or you have to like the window! But how!!?!?!? I pointed out that the bubble on the 10cm wide pizza had an uncovered product on at least a third of its surface and the response was: if you took it stuffed maybe the bubble would stay down, our pizza is like that and you'll see that in half an hour you've already digested it. Whoever answered me also said "what skills do you have when it comes to pizzas"... dear young woman, remember that the customer is always right, even if you don't like it. However, don't worry, I won't even get paid back by you! And then I will explain to you, perhaps, how to make two pizzas! Dear restaurateur, the reviews are used to comment on how one found the place, not to offend... perhaps you need inner peace given the tone with which you respond, in addition to having publicly written falsehoods. Reread mine, it is not offensive but purely critical. Given the situation, let me explain better. I pointed out to the lady behind the counter that one looked like a margherita while the other didn't, due to the huge bubble present (as a failed pizza chef I've never sold "things like this" in 11 years): in an annoyed manner, she called Her to hear me reply that "if I had taken it stuffed perhaps it wouldn't have happened", in addition to the question of leavening etc etc. In this way it confirms to me that if it had been filled more the bubble would not have been there. It seems very unprofessional to me. As said verbally, yours is not my pizza: if I'm rude to tell you so, I'm sorry. I'll leave aside your comment on wine: I was already ashamed (for you) to go back to the restaurant to complain among people and I also understand on your part the embarrassment and the useless comments on skills in the matter, regardless of which of you has said those words. Luckily we are human and different, and in my life I have only happened to return to the pizzeria once to complain: if it had happened to my brother perhaps he wouldn't have brought it back, or perhaps in a kind manner he would have done so without writing reviews. ...who knows... (but who is interested in reading this in a review???) If I were rude, I think, I would have lasted less than 11 years of thriving business, sold out of necessity and not out of failure (but who cares to read this in a review???). Wishing you to continue with even greater happiness and prosperity in your twenty-year adventure, I remind you of the infinite variety of pizzas that exist on the market: please, don't make me pass off a half pizza/half focaccia as a pizza.

14/12/2024: Torno a recensire qui su TripAdvisor e lo faccio scegliendo il ristorante Il Borgo, anzi il ristorante di Elio, come tutti lo conoscono a Fiorenzuola, che a volte frequento avendo sia amici che parenti in zona. Sono stato a pranzo da Elio diverse volte negli anni e mi sono sempre trovato bene. Il locale si trova nel centro di Fiorenzuola, in una zona facilmente raggiungibile. L’offerta del locale è molto varia: piatti tipici della tradizione piacentina, piatti di terra e di mare più o meno vari e pizze. Nelle mie visite ho avuto modo di apprezzare gli antipasti misti di salumi piacentini (anche se purtroppo non sono disponibili, per accompagnarli, i gnocchi fritti, anzi i “chisolini”, come si chiamano in zona… in ogni caso, non mi stancherò mai di dirlo, in Emilia se c’è un cibo su cui non si può sgarrare sono i salumi, e qui per fortuna direi che ci siamo), i pisarei e fasò, altro caposaldo storico della cucina locale (salumi e pisarei sono stati il mio pasto dell’ultima volta che ci sono stato, a dicembre 2024, che è quella che metto come data di questa recensione e di cui metto le foto), altri primi e secondi di terra più o meno vari che ora non ricordo ma che ricordo bene di aver apprezzato, e le pizze, che hanno la giusta dimensione, la pasta croccante e ben cotta e gli ingredienti generosi e di ottima qualità. Non ricordo di aver mai assaggiato, invece, i piatti di pesce e di mare, ma ho avuto opinioni positive da persone che l’hanno fatto. Ogni volta che siamo andati, nel locale la temperatura e l’atmosfera sono state sempre gradevoli (non so bene come sia in estate quando fa caldo, anche se ho visto che nelle sale interne ci sono i climatizzatori) ed il servizio ben organizzato ed efficiente, anche con un discreto affollamento nel locale, a cura del già citato titolare, il grande Elio, personaggio storico in zona, inossidabile, attento e simpaticissimo, e dell’altrettanto inossidabile e gentile cameriera Olga; entrambi, secondo me, si meritano la grande quantità di biglietti di apprezzamento appesi sulla parete dietro la cassa :) I prezzi sono assolutamente nella media, allineati alla qualità di cibo e servizio. Tirando le somme, direi che 4 stelle gliele posso proprio dare. Se siete in zona Fiorenzuola e cercate un buon posto dove riempirvi la pancia, sicuramente Elio è da considerare!

07/02/2025: I am a frequenter of this place. I love Tuscan food and cuisine and having a restaurant in the area that offers all of this is a godsend. Excellent food, right dishes (in terms of quantity), slightly high prices but I think fair for the quality offered. The owners are very approachable and knowledgeable. The place is slightly small and the noise becomes intrusive when the room is full. Always ask for cuts of meat not listed on the menu. You could have some wonderful surprises! The only discordant note is the lack of a grill. Since I am a lover of meat and Tuscany I would have greatly appreciated it (reason for the 4 stars instead of 5) Prices for starter, main course, dessert, coffee: approx. 35/40 euros Conclusion: highly recommended! P.s. crostini I WANT IT!
