26/09/2025: Once again, we had the pleasure of dining at La Locanda del Capitano... this time to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Having lived in Umbria for the past four and a half years, we have grown to truly appreciate fine food and wine, and for me as a passionate food and wine lover, there is simply no better place than this culinary jewel in Montone.
Chef Giancarlo Polito is more than just a master in the kitchen... he is a true gentleman. His genuine care for his guests and his dedication to creating unforgettable dining experiences set this restaurant apart. Every visit feels special, thanks to the perfect combination of exquisite cuisine, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay much longer.
We absolutely love it here, and La Locanda del Capitano continues to be one of the highlights of our life in Umbria.
