I said, "In the coffee," and headed to the bathroom to wash my hands. Immediately afterward, my husband and I went to the register to pay. The lady gave us the bill, listing the items we had consumed, the total, and the payment by credit card, without receiving a word of apology. Indignantly, I said, "I thought she was apologizing..."
