22/07/2026: I'm not used to writing reviews, and I don't do it because I don't want to influence people, either positively or negatively... it's right that everyone judges for themselves, but this time I feel like making a comment. Last night, dinner for two: I chose an appetizer of fried flowers stuffed with mozzarella and anchovies, reminding me of when I used to eat them many years ago at my mother's house... I received four "meatballs" (because that's the shape) made of a very large batter, with a flower inside that obviously couldn't have been crispy because it was trapped in the batter, with a sort of creamy sauce that looked more like anchovy paste than actual anchovies... OK. I ate the inner flower with the "creamy sauce" and left the batter casing... then I ordered the boneless fried chicken country-style with fried vegetables. So... frozen vegetables (even if they're properly asterisked on the menu), but if you're talking about typical Tuscan cuisine, leave the bags of frozen vegetables at the supermarket and fry them fresh. The chicken: dark brown morsels. As soon as I bite into one, I taste a very strong flavor, and I decide, along with the vegetables, not to eat it. The first waitress, very nice, asks me if I wanted anything else, and that she'll make it right away. I thank her and say it doesn't matter. After a while, she comes back and tells me that the chef tasted the fried food and said it was good... okay... The waitress, who was the last to clear the plates, asks me if everything was okay, but I tell her that if I were the chef, I wouldn't have sent the fried food that dark. She replies like this: it's our breading, it's not the oil's fault... okay... apart from the fact that they might be using rye bread, because it was really dark, but what really annoyed me was that I, always so nicely, told her: okay, the breading, but when you bring fried food to the table it needs to be nice and light, not too dark. She replies: I like it dark, light fried food tastes bland to me... so I, at 66 years old—in fact, I'll be 67 in a month and a half—have to hear such nonsense from a know-it-all girl, who gets face-to-face with the customer who then has to pay??? Among other things, there's a QR code for the wine list, which once scanned, didn't meet my needs, so I asked if they had a rosé prosecco, which wasn't listed... they brought it to me... I thought it was a Ludovika, but it wasn't prosecco... it was a sparkling wine, warm at that, even though they brought an ice bucket later. I went to pay, and very kindly and professionally, they took the fried chicken off the bill. Thank you. The receipt, however, has the grand total, and I'll never know how much I paid for that rosé sparkling wine... although doing the math, I think it was around 27 euros. Oh well. Too bad because yesterday I chose you to celebrate an important anniversary... oh well... it happens... but to me, damn it...

08/07/2026: Really enjoyed a great meal here on a first night in Prato. Our 730 reservation made us the first table (tired after travel!) but the staff were kind, accommodating our poor Italian. The food was plentiful and tasty. It was nice to sit outside despite the bees being a bit aggressive. Definitely recommend for a nice meal!

28/07/2026: When I'm in Prato, it's a must-stop. You get good Tuscan food, you feel at home, and the price is right. It doesn't get much better than this... I highly recommend it.

28/06/2026: Very friendly service. Tasty food. It's really nice to eat on the terrace, as you sit on a square with the Duomo in front of you. Nice little tables with those red and white checkered tablecloths.

15/06/2026: A very relaxed summer atmosphere, dining in the tranquility of the square. The two of us shared a selection of exquisite hams, a 1kg steak, two vegetable side dishes, a mixed fruit dish, and complimentary liqueurs. The food was impeccable, and the service was extremely friendly and never intrusive. Thanks for the lovely evening, folks.

11/06/2026: It was truly a delicious and wonderful experience... As a Palermitan who's used to all kinds of food, I had a truly wonderful time. I was there on the evening of June 4th with local friends and I really enjoyed the toasted bread with chicken livers and the house-made fried food.

19/08/2026: All in all, a very nice restaurant. I was there with my wife and two children. We made a reservation online, which worked perfectly. The outdoor seating area was already quite busy. We received a very warm welcome. They immediately pointed out that they could also prepare dishes for children that weren't on the regular menu. I think that's fantastic and simply demonstrates their excellent service. The food arrived very quickly. I especially recommend the risotto. But the spaghetti vongole, pappardelle ragu, and fritti di mare were all delicious as well. Thank you for a lovely evening. I highly recommend it.

19/06/2026: What a pity. This place could have done so much better but I now understand why the restaurant around the corner was fully booked while this one was less than half full. The food was incredibly bland. The food was so bland, my salt grinder was empty (real story!). The pasta was way overcooked and apart from the roast pork cheeks, everything tasted like cardboard. The place is fairly well situated but they should really try adding some seasonings before sending their plates... Also, the waitress was quite sullen. I'm not sure what was bugging her but she seemed unhappy to be there and seemed to wish we weren't there either. The maître d' was friendly.

15/07/2026: My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and had a fantastic time! We had the fettuccine with mutton sauce and the casarecce with Cinta sauce, both truly delicious and super flavorful. For our main course, we shared a huge, practically boneless Florentine steak. Finally, desserts were a must: the vanilla ice cream with wine-marinated cherries and the apple pie, both excellent, were the perfect way to end the evening. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the dinner. We even asked for a wine pairing recommendation, which was a great choice; that was also truly delicious. The bill was also more than fair, absolutely reasonable and not at all excessive considering what we ate and the quality of the service. We highly recommend it; we'll definitely be back!

09/07/2026: Fabulous, authentic Prato cuisine. Two small notes: gorgeous ravioli, but two are a bit small; three would have been perfect. The Prato celery is delicious, but it's a shame it's only half stuffed; the rest is boiled celery. The tagliata with spices is wonderful, as are the Prato peaches, even though they're not their own. We'll definitely be eating there again!

11/06/2026: Everything I ate was meticulously prepared, with intense yet well-balanced flavors. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was prompt. Even the bread basket with their crostini showed they care about providing high-quality products! Fair prices, excellent value.

08/06/2026: The restaurant, now located inside a tennis club, is welcoming and meticulously maintained. Impeccable service offers a surprisingly refined and far from ordinary dining experience. While we waited, they brought us many delicacies, such as schiacciata and mortadella, a crispy cecina-style tartlet, creamy chickpea soup, and meatballs with livers stuffed with exceptional boiled meat! The cuisine stands out for the very high quality of the ingredients and a creative approach that doesn't overwhelm, but rather intelligently reinterprets. The cacio e pepe, for example, is offered in an unusual version with raw prawns: a contrast that works perfectly. The ravioli are among the most memorable dishes: unique, with an aromatic filling of chicken, thyme, and black truffle, they are very balanced. The Livorno-style cod is also excellent, prepared lightly, with tomato sauce and fried vegetables, but without being heavy as often happens in more traditional versions. The sea bream, accompanied by a very unique sauce, is striking for its precision and clean flavors: each element remains recognizable. The dessert concludes the experience coherently: a revisited zuppa inglese, delicate and fragrant, with a pleasant hint of orange blossom that makes it fresher and less "classic" than usual. Overall, a restaurant that focuses on technique and a contemporary identity, with well-conceived dishes and a confident hand, capable of surprising without being overbearing. They'll be moving soon, so they're worth a visit! Highly recommended!

15/08/2026: On warm days, an unforgettable dinner on the panoramic terrace is priceless: you can see the Villa dei Cento Chimneys and the valley towards the Arno River. Traditional Tuscan dishes are cooked continuously. Give me a local restaurant. Highly recommended.

We trusted them to celebrate this special day, and choosing the Mangià Fora restaurant was the best choice we could have made. They took care of every single detail with incredible dedication. The atmosphere was fairytale: a beautiful, enormous table set in front of a stunning golden wheat field, the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day. Not to mention the food: plentiful, authentic, and exquisite, a true triumph of flavors that captivated everyone. Even after all this time, friends and family continue to compliment us on the beauty of the party and the quality of the reception. They exceeded our wildest expectations. There really aren't enough words to describe the unique and memorable experience they created. Heartfelt thanks to Eleonora and the entire team! Highly recommended! ❤️
