It's not just a restaurant but a historic address in the city, open since 1870 and tied to the gastronomic heritage of Prato, nestled in a fifteenth-century building. In the gestures and rhythm of the dining room, you can sense the family continuity that has made Baghino a small institution in the city. The cuisine speaks a clear language: Tuscan in character, Prato in cadence. Moderate cooking, clear flavors, seasonings kept under control to let the raw ingredients take center stage. Among the house's signature dishes are the "Sedani alla Pratese," a paradigm of regional comfort food, and the Florentine steak, expertly prepared: a well-defined crust, a juicy center, and intelligently measured salt. 20/04/2026: A very charming and welcoming place, perfect for a dinner with friends; the wide selection of wines is the restaurant's highlight. In fact, choosing a wine is a true experience because there's no wine list; they invite you to choose directly from their selection (which is truly immense!!!). Each wine is priced per bottle; an interesting idea. The only flaw is that when it came time to choose, I found myself sitting at two very large tables in front of the wines and I only managed to see a few bottles, so we ended up asking the staff for recommendations. The dishes, which blend tradition and innovation, are also excellent.

02/05/2026: A historic Prato trattoria, with delicious food and an authentic, clean restaurant facing Piazza del Duomo. It's worth stopping by just for the experience. The pappa al pomodoro, saffron and pancetta risotto, and sliced ​​steak with truffle are all excellent.
