06/04/2024: If you are in the area, don't hesitate even for a moment: excellent cocktails, excellent dishes for both lunch and dinner, very kind staff, special praise to the two guys in the room (probably two of the owners)!!

What saddens me most is that in a place like this you end up eating a horrible cut of tuna. Absolutely wrong cooking, I even had doubts about the quality of the fish, given that in some places it had a strange taste. Furthermore, as a side dish, a badly fried artichoke that leaked oil and was cloying on the palate.
The appetizer and the service were appreciated but in a quality restaurant you cannot afford to offer dishes like this. Finally, I left the second one and no one bothered to ask why and I honestly felt ashamed for them to point it out. I will not return.
28/02/2024: this is a great restaurant, friendly service + nice atmosphere but the truffle pasta was not al dente. Very hard to chew. The bread was to much on the side for 1 Person. Cute little starter - i think it was a little omelette. But im sure the pasta was an accident. I will definitely go back to try the fish. My italian was sadly to bad to give a friendly feedback :(

26/02/2024: Ho visitato questo ristorante, davvero magnifico, personale gentile e disponibile, uno tra loro, Katia Pia, mi ha proposto un piatto di busiate con vellutata di zucchine, guanciale croccante e formaggio piacentino ennese, accompagnato da un calice di vino rosso, l'accoppiata è stata paradisiaca per il palato !!!

01/04/2024: We visited on Easter Monday and they had like a set menu. They offered Meat and Fish antipasti, pasta and for mains mixed grill of meat amd fish. They greeted us with fredh bruschetta and ee opted to try both antipasti. The dishes kept on coming we had cold antipasti first and then warm antipasti. As main we took the mixed grill of meat and a ravioli with mushrooms. Which was more than enough for four people infact we took some packed food with us. To finish off our lunch we were presented with two different types of sweets, some pineapple and lemon sorbet. The portions are amazing, delightful taste and the price so little.

01/04/2024: Friendly and helpful staff. Panoramic location but a bit approximate, at least where we sat. Absolutely inadequate value for money. The piglet was totally dry and the chocolate sauce was neither spicy nor sauce (as the menu stated), but were two mounds of thick cream that was rather reminiscent of Nutella. Certainly nothing to do with a sauce, impossible to accommodate the meat as it should have.
The dish, accompanied by one (I mean 1) wedge of potato, unfortunately also semi-raw, and one (I mean 1) wedge of unseasoned cauliflower, really poor and uncooked.

08/11/2023: Best meal we had in Sicily(2 weeks). We had Raw Sweet Shrimp*, Squid Sicilian Style, Rocket salad, Pistachio Ice Cream and of course a bottle of dry white wine. It was all great. *Raw Sweet Shrimp are usually only found in high end sushi restaurants where we live and are typically about $5 each.
25/10/2023: We had a wonderful experience here. Every dish we ordered was just delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. We’ve been to several restaurants in Taormina and this was definitely the best!

The antipasto is of the highest quality and truly original Sicilian food.
The “Maccheroni alla norma” absolutely unforgettable!

03/01/2024: We order an appetizer for one to share, two portions of meat and two side dishes. After finishing the appetizer my partner feels ill and we decide to leave, I talk to the owner and ask how far along the meat was and if it could be stopped, he replies that it was ready now and that they could take it away for me and so I replied go good, no problem. We paid €50 for the starter X1 to share, a bottle of water, a coke, two second courses and two side dishes. The problem? They gave us a second takeaway that didn't look like it was for two people and they charged us for the side dishes that weren't present, so we paid for dishes that weren't served to us. I hope it was an oversight because it wasn't right at all.

23/09/2023: We had seen this restaurant recommended in the Rough Guide and happened upon it by accident on a rainy evening. As the terrace was covered we decided to give it a go even though it was very quiet. This was the best evening meal we had in Lipari by some distance. The menu was small by other local restaurant standards which was a good sign of freshness and we were not disappointed. The aubergine with burrata starter was so good, creamy and tasty. For mains we had the tuna and the octopus with a side of chips, and both were amazing. Texture, flavour perfect. Even the bread was the best we have had in Sicily. We finished off with a cannoli to share and a shot each and the bill, along with four glasses of wine was around €100. Highly recommended.

31/10/2023: Abgesehen von der großartigen Lage ist dies einfach ein vorzügliches Restaurant.
Typisch sizilianische Gerichte, sehr reichliche Portionen, wirklich guter und günstiger Haus - Wein, sehr freundlicher und perfekter Service .
Hier stimmt einfach alles.

29/12/2023: We visited on the first night of our holiday because of the great reviews. We arrived around 5-6pm and it was very quiet. The owner was so lovely. Really friendly and welcoming. He kindly put on the air conditioning for me as I get hot and we were sitting inside! He made us feel comfortable and right at home. He helped us to order and gave recommendations. He also adapted one of our meals to suit one of our requirements. My Dad has not stopped going on about the food at this restaurant. He absolutely loved it. We all agree that it was the nicest that we’ve had in Taormina-and we’ve visited a fair few. It was really affordable and good value too. The prices are not over inflated. We would visit again and highly recommend. We had the parmigiana and lemon and veal meatballs to share and start. Bolognese, parmigiana ravioli, nduja &stracciatella pasta amongst other things. All lovely.
31/10/2023: Abbiano pranzato in questo ristorante con la mia famiglia e degli amici. Abbiamo mangiato degli ottimi primi accompagnati da un buon vino siciliano. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo

28/10/2023: Non ci tornerei. Siamo stati a cena (a ottobre) con mio marito per mangiare un po’ di pesce fresco. Abbiamo mangiato nella media. Nulla di eccezionale, ma siamo stati spennati. Ci hanno fatto pagare anche un piattino con 2 cantucci di accompagnamento della Malvasia 8€!
19/09/2023: After a long walk on Salina on a very hot day we stopped for lunch at Porto Bella. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was very attentive and friendly. Perfect end to our time on Salina!
