17/08/2024: It is not a dinner but an EXPERIENCE to have at least once in a lifetime. Finally the real innkeeper, the one from the past.... It felt like having dinner in the tavern of a farmhouse with friends. Rustic environment with tables all together eating, drinking and chatting. Excellent and abundant food and drinks, we are a couple from Vicenza and we have never lacked wine 🤣, but the thing that struck us most was the owner and all his staff who made us feel at home. They welcomed us and pampered us from start to finish....It's nice to still find genuine people who love what they do, you can feel it in the dishes and in the climate you breathe. If we return to Petritoli we will definitely stop...

13/07/2024: A friend of mine and I decided to celebrate our graduation party by the pool at this restaurant. When we called for information they told us that they were offering a "package" at a cost of 35 euros each which included the use of the swimming pool, a generous buffet and a first course served at the table. In reality, personally and for a large part of the guests, the buffet was not very abundant in terms of variety of dishes. They didn't even ask us if we would like coffee at the end of dinner. We had agreed to decide later on the extras, such as sparkling wine, that we would consume during the evening (something reiterated both on the phone and as soon as we arrived at the restaurant). However, without asking permission, 4 bottles were opened, consequently increasing the final bill. My friend and I decided to pay before dinner, excluding the extras, which we would decide later. Regarding the sparkling wine, I pointed out to the cashier that we would pay for the consumption, but another person probably wouldn't. In the end I was offered a bottle: I paid for 3 bottles for a total of 90 euros. I don't think there was any bad intention behind these oversights, considering there was only one waiter to serve all 24 people in attendance. However, it would have been more correct to ask before opening the bottles. Furthermore, around 2am we were told by those who worked there to end the evening with words like "guys I want to go home" but more professional communication would have been appreciated. We also forgot about the remaining cake, but a simple feedback or question about its destination would have been appreciated, as is usually the case in other restaurants. Ultimately, I cannot recommend this restaurant and certainly will not give it a good publicity.
17/06/2024: I had already been to the restaurant in autumn and finding myself in Grottazzolina I wanted to go back because just the thought of having dinner the first time makes my mouth water. The first time was a surprise, the second a confirmation. Courtesy and professionalism are in first place together with the very beautiful location. The dinner was superb on both occasions in which we did not choose from the menu but we took advice based also on the proposals of the day. Very tender and good meat, excellent quality wine. I hope to have the opportunity to return.
