07/06/2026: A tourist trap, with rude and gossipy staff.
The first thing that catches your eye are the prices: €17-19 for appetizers and first courses, €25 for second courses, and €7-8 for desserts. We're almost at Michelin-starred levels, so we expect excellent quality.
Instead, swimming in butter, seven small tortelli arrive. The filling is good, but on the same plate, some are overcooked and others border on undercooked. This suggests a lack of attention during cooking, or worse, a pastry rolled out to varying thicknesses.
Off the menu are "golden" frogs: the proverb says even a ciabatta is good when fried, but for €25, we expected something better than just eight frog legs per person.
For dessert, let's listen carefully! From the kitchen door, we can hear the voices of the housewives gossiping about a customer's outfit. One of the cooks even casually walks out, glances at the tables, and reenters the kitchen giggling, amidst the laughter of her colleagues.
Finally, the digestif: the waitress warns the kitchen staff that the customer whose dress they're denigrating has celiac disease. Another roar of laughter and snide comments.
This is definitely not the case.
02/06/2026: It's always a pleasure to return to this trattoria in the Parma countryside, which never fails to uphold its historic tradition.
And the traditional dishes are a strong point, thanks to the quality of the ingredients and their preparation: cured meats (the shoulder cooked with mustard is a must), traditional tortelli, but also meats like roasted pork shoulder, and snails à la bourgogne. Finally, the homemade desserts are always delicious. The service is friendly and professional.
In short, it's an experience definitely worth the trip.
