First courses: Spaghetti alla Carmelo takes center stage, a delicacy you'll never taste in any Italian restaurant, but the other scallops are equally as delicious. You'll be spoiled for choice. 07/09/2025: I'd like to point out that we're still in the period of our stay (August 31 - September 7), but I personally feel compelled to write this review to be truthful. I read comments of contempt, gratuitous nastiness, and much, much more, but drawing OBJECTIVE conclusions, I deduce how poor the people (fortunately not all) are, both materially and spiritually. The property is surrounded by nature with a sea view, 10 minutes from the partner beach, with a shuttle service included with a wide range of schedules, both morning and afternoon, and pets are allowed. Entertainment available for adults and children (Jolly Animation), made up of competent, fun, polite, helpful, and inclusive young people, led by Sofia, capable of handling even the most delicate topics with extreme care during their evening shows. Three meals a day, starting with breakfast, which includes: a variety of jams, honey, milk, coffee, biscuits, cured meats, cheeses, fresh croissants, freshly prepared desserts, etc. Lunch and dinner, as in all fully packaged resorts, are freely chosen by the guest from two or more options. The kitchen and dining room staff, in my personal experience, have been completely available and accommodating to any request. With kindness, courtesy, and extreme professionalism, they are accompanying us during this holiday season, without making us feel in need of anything. Chef Marcello, a delightful person, has stood out from the start for his approach, and nothing less can be said for the kitchen staff, the reception staff, the dining room staff, and the cleaning service. I've seen people complain about everything mentioned so far, even the transportation service, considering the vehicles obsolete and dilapidated. Let's speak objectively: an average of €450/470 per person, for 7 days (late August/early September), in total relaxation and with every comfort, but what do you expect with these prices? The food reflects the value for money you'd expect with this package; the facility is basic but welcoming. Anyone who says otherwise is only being spiteful and punitive. Expecting the Hilton, but on a smaller budget, only harms these truly deserving people. We'll definitely be back; it's already nostalgic. With love: Luigi and Orsula ❤️

07/09/2025: We had a great time. The place is beautiful, the sea is stunning, the property could use some renovation, but its location retains its charm. The entertainment was fantastic, we had a great time. My only complaint was the food; the food was good, but the side dishes were really poor for my taste. A buffet would have been nice, and I don't think they would have failed. Otherwise, everything was perfect, especially considering the price.

03/10/2025: The only thing that saves this hotel is its seafront location. Everything else is to be rejected: rooms full of dust, stains everywhere, terrible and worn shower, regarding the transfer services they are really in a bad state, the restaurant is awful, the food is terrible and the prices are absurd, if it weren't for the splendid sea they might even close for me.

31/08/2025: We stayed at the Hotel Saline from August 22nd to 27th, 2025. The only positive things were the kindness of the people and the sea view. I mean, "view," because the sea is inaccessible due to the underwater reef that extends from the shore for dozens of meters, which is also very dangerous. We had to go to the beach elsewhere, spending a lot more money. Furthermore, I think the chef was on vacation during the week we stayed, so he couldn't make pasta that wasn't overcooked—I'm talking about penne and rigatoni, not fresh pasta. The only professional was the maitre d', Pasquale. Eggs at breakfast had to be paid for separately; at €145 per person for half board, two scrambled eggs would have been fine. Finally, to the left of the hotel, there's a long-unfinished eyesore, still owned by the same owner, and when we went to pay, no one asked how our stay had been... did they already know the answers and related criticisms? Being from central and southern Italy myself, I'm truly sorry to have to write these things, which are unfortunately true! Given the level demonstrated, it does not reflect the declared category...perhaps a little more transparency combined with an appropriate price could avoid controversy.

07/09/2025: Delicious pastry shop! The girl behind the counter with the blue eyes was really kind, I would have loved to chat with her. I came to the pastry shop a couple of times just to see her, haha, between last night and this morning, but there are always lots of people getting their pastries. Highly recommended!

06/09/2025: The taste of lobsters with Chantilly cream is pure poetry...not to mention the lightness and goodness of krapfen and donuts!!

16/09/2025: A bar with a beautiful panoramic terrace. The ice cream is delicious, as are the tiramisu and profiteroles. Prices are average.

01/09/2025: This bar is spectacular, perfect for its magnificent sea view and its cocktails. The staff is also very friendly and unobtrusive. I spent three days in Palinuro, and given the deliciousness of the cocktails and accompanying appetizers, we decided to skip lunch on the beach and enjoy a delicious aperitivo at sunset!

06/09/2025: I just ordered a croissant and a coffee for €2.40, but the receipt listed a decaf cappuccino. Ah, same price? Who knows. I rarely have breakfast at a bar, and this experience confirms it. I won't repeat it. Either the prices have skyrocketed, or the cashier was lying.

18/07/2025: Family atmosphere, excellent service, impeccable cleanliness, my favorite bar, without their coffee the day doesn't begin, what can I say about their super good croissants and who says the opposite and why have they never entered this place?

23/08/2025: A family-run guesthouse. Nothing is missing. Above all, I appreciated the courtesy and care they showed for my allergies.

20/08/2025: Palinuro is beautiful, worth a visit. Speaking of the structure, the rooms are poor, the bathrooms are not maintained, there is no mini fridge, the mattress is more comfortable than the one on the beach, for those with leg problems there is no adequate service.
