03/05/2026: First evening in Palinuro: I booked this place based on other reviews, and we weren't disappointed: wood-fired pizzas with excellent dough and a wide selection. The "half-and-half" pizza, half pizza and half stuffed calzone, is a must-try. The owners are friendly and welcoming, too.

02/05/2026: A real pizzeria, as it should be. Honest and sincere. The pizza is spectacular if you like Neapolitan style (high crust and thin center). My wife and I love it. It's perfectly cooked. Nothing to say. We'll definitely be back. They're delicious.

11/09/2025: The place is a bit dated and basic; when we left, our clothes smelled of fried food. The staff isn't exactly friendly, and especially not very talkative. I don't necessarily need to chat, but at least a nod of understanding would be appreciated as I order. As for the food, the fried anchovies are excellent, but the zeppole are less so. The margheritas are good.

04/09/2025: The food is excellent, but the service is terrible. We ordered from a gentleman who brought the English menu, and when we took our order, he ordered something else entirely. The price was higher, and when we spoke to the waitress, she became extremely stressed and called over two other people who argued as if the mistake was ours. We had to pay for the service error and left feeling incredibly embarrassed by the whole situation.

04/04/2026: A truly disappointing experience. I sat down at a table to get gelato, but was told I couldn't order a cone without paying a €2 surcharge for table service only. At that point, I decided to go straight to the register to get it to go, since the price listed for a cone was €3. However, when I got to the register, I was asked to pay €3.50 without any clear explanation. Furthermore, the quantity of gelato was truly small for the price. To make matters worse, the staff was unprofessional and disorganized. Terrible service. I wouldn't recommend it.

14/09/2025: A beautiful, quiet location nestled in the Cilento countryside with a fantastic view of the bay of Capo Palinuro. Good, authentic food.

28/07/2025: Dirty rooms, bathroom leaking from all sides, boiling hot room with air conditioning that doesn't even have the power to reach the corridor, TV that loses its signal, doors that almost fall off the wall, to sum it all up I'd say, better to close.

07/09/2025: Delicious pastry shop! The girl behind the counter with the blue eyes was really kind, I would have loved to chat with her. I came to the pastry shop a couple of times just to see her, haha, between last night and this morning, but there are always lots of people getting their pastries. Highly recommended!

Dining here is more than just a simple meal, but a true sensory journey that celebrates the richness of the Campania region in the most noble way. ​As soon as you sit down, you're immediately captivated by a breathtaking view: a privileged view of the endless expanse of water of Capo Palinuro, whose turquoise hues fill the eyes and enchant the soul, creating the ideal picturesque setting for a top-notch gastronomic experience. Making everything even more special and warm was the welcome from Stefano, an overwhelmingly friendly waiter. Gifted with rare expertise and a profound knowledge of raw materials, his expert and smiling guidance transformed our stay into a moment of absolute pleasure. The tasting experience was flawless: The Appetizer: The opening course was a sincere homage to the land, with a selection of superb Cilento cured meats and cheeses, revealing the full strength and authenticity of local tradition with every bite. The First Course: The fusillo with ragù was an absolute triumph. A perfectly crafted pasta, its perfect texture perfectly embracing a rich, deep sauce, crafted with evident home-made skill. The Second Course: The sea then arrived on the table in the form of a simply impeccable mixed fried fish platter. Crispy, golden, and surprisingly light, it highlighted the absolute freshness of the catch without ever overpowering its delicate flavors. To conclude this culinary symphony in sublime style, we refreshed our palates with a delicate lemon sorbet, which paved the way for a classic: a delicious ricotta and pear tart, perfectly balanced in texture and not at all cloying. An excellent coffee then capped off this memorable meal. Il Vicoletto is a precious gem nestled on the Cilento coast; a must-see destination for anyone seeking to be pampered by great cuisine and a breathtaking view. Highly recommended.

12/06/2026: A classy restaurant with excellent seafood. Mr. Stefano is extremely friendly and hospitable and made sure we had a wonderful evening. Prices are reasonable, but with the The Fork discount, they're more in line with the medium-high price range. The portions are generous, however.

29/08/2025: We stopped here completely by chance; we were passing through and were very satisfied. There was a wide selection of food, including pasta, rice, hot and cold main courses, and fried foods. And it was all delicious. If we're ever back in town again, we'll definitely stop by. :)
