12/04/2026: Excellent food, very friendly staff but a little expensive

07/04/2026: Good evening everyone, after a beautiful walk near the lake, we went to Trattoria Marè. We sat inside, where they were still mopping the floor. The bathroom was out of disposable towels. At the table, however, we noticed that two out of four glasses were dirty, and the waiter very kindly changed them. Meanwhile, the hot and cold appetizers arrived, very meager, including: microwaved almond shrimp, unseasoned octopus, bland food, reheated and stuffed OLD canapés, Mexican-style beans, and a fish appetizer that had nothing to do with it, which was also bland. In short, everything they didn't sell yesterday, which was Easter, they reheated for us. Meanwhile, we barely had one plate returned, and the waiter kindly took it away, forgetting to bring a clean one. The seafood linguine arrived, tasteless, the grilled shrimp were of terrible quality, the fried shrimp and calamari were good, and finally the gnocchi, shrimp, and zucchini were good BUT, alas, with a long hair. We paid €12 for the cover charge (four people), despite what had happened. The price doesn't reflect the value of the food. P.S. For those who want to ruin an evening, choose "Trattoria Marè" or it's excellent, and I'd recommend it to my bitterest enemies.

09/04/2026: Good value for money, good service even on Easter Monday

24/03/2026: Sunday lunch for four. We chose the tasting menu and paired it with several bottles of wine that are locally recommended as "local." The food was good, and the staff was very friendly, especially the owner, who is always very helpful. It wasn't our first time there, and it proved to be an excellent value.

17/02/2026: Today, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, it was closed for lunch 😳 Bad review only because we were disappointed to find it closed. But we went because we know quality is everything. 🥹😊

17/01/2026: Well, what can I say? A flat, unleavened pizza that was left in our stomachs with barely any toppings... Basically, dough with a few pieces of toppings here and there... A flavorless first course... A frittata that was returned from the table and was kindly put back at the counter for the next customer! 22/02/2026: Here's the updated version with all the points you mentioned: ⸻ I went to this restaurant for lunch today, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely negative in almost every way. The only real positive is the location: it's undoubtedly beautiful, with a splendid view of the sea that creates a pleasant atmosphere. I also appreciate the fact that they cater to gluten-free options: they had both pasta and bread available, and they were attentive to this. Otherwise, however, the experience was very disappointing. We waited three hours for our first course, a simply unacceptable amount of time, especially without clear explanations or adequate apologies. During the wait, the service was virtually nonexistent: we didn't feel welcomed or cared for. The staff was clearly insufficient, both in number and in managing the room, and they also had a lackluster approach to the customer. The lack of organization was evident even in the most basic aspects: when we were welcomed, we weren't even served water, and we had to ask several times just to get it. Generally, we had to repeatedly call the staff for any need. We requested the "Lucullo" appetizer, but they mixed it up and brought it to us as if we'd ordered the tasting menu, which we hadn't. This mistake demonstrates a lack of attention and poor internal communication. Furthermore, the first courses weren't served all at once: we ate in staggered intervals, with some people at the table already finished while others were still waiting. It was an unpleasant and unprofessional situation. Many people around us were complaining about the incredibly long wait; several customers even got up and left before receiving their dishes, tired of waiting. As for the food, it wasn't poor quality, but it wasn't particularly exciting either. Given the interminable wait and the general disorganization, it's definitely not worth it. A lunch that should have been a pleasant experience turned into a stressful experience. I'm sorry to say this, but I can't recommend this restaurant at this time: the beautiful sea view alone isn't enough to make up for such poor service and inefficient organization.

22/02/2026: Stunning location: face to face with the sea! The quality of the ingredients is questionable, and the dishes are overly improvised. It's impossible to accommodate guests with food intolerances or even just different tastes. Dishes are not changed! Even though we were told otherwise when booking. Completing the review is the lack of coordination between the dining room and kitchen staff, and a lot of overcharging... Totally unacceptable wait times.

22/02/2026: The place has a beautiful view, the service is excellent, and the chef has a unique way of combining ingredients, making the dishes delicate and flavorful. The price is less than you'd expect. We'll definitely be back.

21/10/2025: I had lunch here on a Sunday last September, on a beautiful sunny day, on the outdoor patio, where you can enjoy a lovely panoramic view. One downside is that to get there, you have to travel down a narrow, winding road. Lunch was a fixed menu, €40 per person, including water and local wine. The appetizers were acceptable, the first course was tastier, but the mixed fried fish and dessert were less so. All in all, we'll definitely return... especially on nice sunny days.

07/12/2025: On Saturday evening we ordered two Ischian croissants with Nutella. They were cold and there was a paltry amount of Nutella inside. We had to throw it away because it was empty, so to speak. What a disappointment considering it's not even cheap...
