I recommend anyone in the area to try it; you'll be amazed.
02/11/2025: This is the third or fourth time we've had lunch at Gizzi restaurant, and everything has always been great. Unfortunately, today, aside from the bruschetta with porcini mushrooms, which is always excellent, the rest of the food was a bit less so. We didn't like the ham in the appetizer, and the owner's recommendation regarding the bread, porcini mushrooms, bean, and chestnut soup in a terrine was terrible; it was practically tasteless, and I'd rate it just above zero.
The gnocchi, for me, weren't potato-based and were hard. The quality of the sliced pork with porcini mushrooms was excellent, but hard to chew.

Non c'è proporzione tra il menù completo, dall' antipasto al dolce, a 35€ con un antipasto, secondo e vino a30€ che ho pagato io... purtroppo non c'è un menù cartaceo e si scopre solo alla fine.
E sinceramente anche se buono il nostro arrosto misto era veramente molto più piccolo delle porzioni che venivano portate agli altri commensali...
Buono , ma molto deluso dal comportamento.
Ovviamente non faccio storie..pago e non torno

24/11/2025: A welcoming place, with a lovely fireplace in the center of the room, which was very welcome after our motorcycle trip. The staff were friendly and helpful, the wait was very short, and the food was delicious, using genuine, local ingredients, and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.
29/10/2025: I went with an organized trip and we ate very well even though there were many of us.

02/11/2025: In my opinion, this is a good restaurant offering tasty dishes. The cured meats and chestnuts with beans served as part of the house antipasto are excellent, as is the grilled meat. The only flaw was the dessert, a tiramisu served too cold. The staff was friendly and helpful.

A gorgeous, always spotlessly clean place with a beautifully kept garden and beautiful lighting. It's a peaceful, warm, and welcoming space, homey yet elegant, with ample space for events.
The food is excellent, and being local, it's especially fresh. The flavors are typical and characteristic of the area, so rustic and homely.
We always spend wonderful evenings here and leave full and happy!

06/10/2025: We ate at this restaurant yesterday during the mushroom festival. It was a truly disappointing experience. They served everything to us on a plastic tray that included a first course, a second course, and a side dish. The tagliatelle were unseasoned and cold, and the mushrooms were sparse and tasteless. The meat was edible, but it was cold. Of course, having come all this way—we came from Puglia—for the food to be this bad was something we couldn't have imagined. This is just bad publicity for the festival.

14/04/2025: Un locale molto suggestivo,
molto caratteristico, ubicato in un vicolo del paese.
Una prima pecca del locale è il "bagno"
unico per uomini e donne,
così angusto e micro che igienicamente lascia molto a desiderare.
Altra pecca del locale è l'aver avvertito freddo durante la consumazione dei pasti, poiché una parete del locale è tutta di roccia,
pertanto i piatti stessi si raffreddavano velocemente.
E pranzare coi brividi addosso non ha fatto assaporare con gusto neppure i piatti stessi.
Piatti semplici, nulla che possa invogliare a ritornare.

09/05/2025: In questo ristorante a gestione si può dire familiare, si è accolti con estrema cordialità tanto da farsi sentire come ospiti da amici o in famiglia.
Il menù non è presente ma raccontato a voce perché cambia spesso.
Ci siamo lasciati consigliare nella scelta: primi e secondi ottimi, tutto fatto in casa. Dalla pasta al pane addirittura: tutto viene preparato dalle mani della signora che gestisce questa locanda.
Anche i dolci sono fatti in casa: la crostata delle mele è segnalata anche dal Gambero Rosso.
Prezzi nella media.
Unico consiglio: userei una lavagna per riportare il menù offerto di volta in volta con un'idea dei prezzi.
Ci torneremo!
09/03/2025: Consiglio vivamente una sosta in questo ristorante che dà l'idea di essere in una grande famiglia. L atmosfera é magica, la cuoca e il cameriere mettono a proprio agio i commensali e tra un bicchiere di vino, salumi e formaggi locali, pietanze di ogni tipo e il calore del camino si crea un clima disteso e familiare. Il cibo é abbondante e squisito, i prezzi super accessibili e la gentilezza e cordialità del personale insuperabili! La marmellata di arance servita sui formaggi é stata la cosa che mi ha colpito di più, ma anche le montanare e il sugo ai funghi porcini sono stati qualcosa di meraviglioso
