Excellent traditional food, flavorful and hearty. The paccheri with rabbit, duck with mushrooms, mutton in tomato sauce, and quince jelly with Strega cheese are delicious.

An extremely positive experience and a delightful discovery. The ingredients are all home-grown and of supreme quality, and you can taste it from the first bite. The owner, Giovanni, welcomed us with kindness and availability. It was like taking a dive into the flavors and atmospheres of the past. Definitely worth a try.

An '80s-style tavern in the hills of Benevento. Nothing to complain about the quality of the food, old recipes cooked to perfection. The only downside is that it's impossible not to have a paper menu or QR code listing the dishes and their prices, but instead have to wait for someone to come to your table to recite it from memory without telling you the prices. It's very annoying to be surprised by the final bill.
Honestly, if I'd known the prices beforehand, I would have ordered two first courses instead of an appetizer for €21.
For the record, an appetizer, a first course, a second course, and a bottle of water cost €50.

We visited Osteria da Marcellino in Cusano Mutri and were pleasantly surprised: the meal exceeded our expectations. Dishes are prepared with authentic, top-quality ingredients, with special attention to customer requests. There's a wide selection, including vegetarian options. The staff is very attentive and helpful; the owner is friendly and provided us with lots of information about local events. I highly recommend this osteria.
