03/10/2025: A small restaurant hidden in the mountains, but very hospitable and down-to-earth.
The food is adequate, but I think it could be better.
In any case, it's an experience worth trying if you're passing through.
02/10/2025: Everything I ate was delicious, I gave the food 4 stars only because we had to stop at the appetizer, since it was so abundant, and therefore not having tried anything else... I can't rate it higher. 👏👏👏 Congratulations on everything.

25/09/2025: The pizza isn't bad, although I've had better, and the atmosphere is also very nice. But the real problem was the service. We arrived at 9:00 PM, and by 10:00 PM our order still hadn't been taken, and they didn't even bring us a bottle of water. We finally ordered, and 15 minutes later the pizzas arrived, but without any drinks. We had to ask twice to get something to drink with our pizza. Also, there was a broken glass, not damaged, but a piece missing. We asked for a replacement, but nothing happened; my husband and I shared the same glass. Highly discouraged.

This evening I had dinner at Pizzeria Santa Caterina and I must say it was an excellent experience.
For health reasons, I chose the pan-fried escarole with anchovies, olives, and chili pepper: delicious, 10/10 to the chef!
My partner and her mother had the pizza, which was mouth-watering just looking at it.
To finish, a delicious dessert: mascarpone cream with berries.
Very polite and attentive staff, a welcoming place, and truly quality food.
What can I say? A 10/10 restaurant, highly recommended +++++

Lots of places in Italy try to make a good American-style burger, but Bark in Gioiosa Ionica really stands out. Everything here is absolutely amazing and made in-house — from the fresh beef patties to the buns, even the ketchup and mayo. The deep-fried mac and cheese balls were out of this world! The quality and care that goes into every detail shows, and nothing is missing from this place. Big compliments to the Bark team for delivering such a great experience. Highly recommended!

19/09/2025: The appetizer of their own cured meats, cheeses, and chili pepper jam was mind-blowing! The two of us first gorged on a picana and then a rib-eye steak, both from Spanish beef... lust! I truly enjoyed this evening! If you come to Gioiosa, you absolutely must come.

10/10/2025: This was close to where I was staying, so we went twice. The food was excellent. The new owners have redone the place and the appearance is very pleasing. There is almost always a party or wedding on weekends, which adds to the festive atmosphere.
I had the seafood, and the pizza. Both were done to perfection.
19/09/2025: What a wonderful place in the South! We came for a family event, and from first glance, it seemed like a charming place. This impression was confirmed immediately when we were greeted. The entire staff is always helpful and attentive, which made us feel truly welcome. We enjoyed pizza and fries, simple choices that allowed us to appreciate the excellent cuisine. The fries were truly delicious!
They are very organized, and there's a pleasant sound that alerts the staff when an order is ready. This is a level of service I've never seen anywhere else.

13/08/2025: Delicious pizzas with expert leavening.
This is why I gave it 5 stars.
A little expensive, except for the Margherita at €5.
The rest of the pizzas range from €8 to €14.
The only flaw is the extremely slow service.
There were about ten of us, and the pizzas took over an hour to be served.
A pizzeria like this should serve at least 100 pizzas a day, and I can't imagine what would happen if all the tables were occupied.
07/08/2025: Had a lovely group-dinner here. Fantastic service and a nice atmosphere. Dinner was delicious!

24/02/2025: Abbiamo trovato questo posto su internet e direi che la scelta di mangiare la pinsa in questo locale è stata positiva.
Il ristorante si trova poco fuori la città di Gioiosa Ionica ma è facile arrivarci come facile è trovare parcheggio.
Il locale è grande ma consiglio di prenotare soprattuto nel fine settimana.
Abbiamo assaggiato la pinsa che viene proposta in tante varietà e con vari tipi di farina e servita in tempi accettabili.
Il personale è gentile e sa congigliarvi al meglio.
Prezzi nella media.
Da ritornarci.

23/08/2023: E' la mia pasticceria del cuore, ci vado a far colazione tutte le volte che sono in zona. Ottima in tutto dal gelato alle paste secche o alla crema, fantastica anche come caffetteria.
Le mie tentazione sono le paste grandi ripiene di crema come la Lulu', la Viennese o il Funghetto... se siete in cerca di dolcezza e siete a Gioiosa Ionica fateci un giro. Pasquale ed Antonella vi accoglieranno nel loro paradiso di dolci.
