There are many varieties of meat, side dishes and appetizers and I also recommend the straccetti because they are delicious and fantastic. The environment is very spacious and tidy and the service is crazy Highly recommended

26/05/2025: Even though there is a meat counter, there is no choice. Ordering is at the table and is very generic. They choose what you eat. Both the owners and the staff are very rude and rude. The wait is very long. More than an hour to eat. What is served is very greasy and oily, so to most people it might seem pleasant tasting. I don't know how harmful it can be to eat like this, given how we were the next day. The costs are high and at the owner's discretion and not documentable. Definitely an experience not to be repeated!!!

18/05/2025: BAD! AVOID!! After waiting for more than an hour we asked for information about our order. The waitress answered us in a loud and irritated tone of voice: "you are not the only ones!" What we ordered: two cuts and a slice (more fat than meat), a plate of cold cuts with 5 slices of capocollo, a few slices of sausage and bacon, two slices of provolone and two small plates of fennel and caroselli. Only water to drink. All for the modest sum of 70 euros!

18/06/2025: Classic place that is looking for failure. It would be a real shame because the meat is very good. We arrive in a group, we are 10 people. In the internal room only children can be lucky enough to eat the sandwich. For adults they are obliged to have meat on the plate otherwise you can sit outside and eat the sandwich. A rather questionable policy of theirs. I have traveled half the world and never happened to me anything like this. Stuff that makes you turn on your heels and leave. Empty room, very few people outside and an interminable wait. We sit down and after half an hour the chips arrive. You think that the meat would arrive shortly but no! Another 40 minutes pass. Staff, in short, in short. They can do better.

21/06/2025: It's not the first time we eat here and, apart from the very arrogant owner, the rest of the staff had always been adequate (we are in a butcher's shop, not at Cracco's), the meat is good, the wine too and the prices are average, but this time they screwed up. We booked asking to reserve the place and the marro (a large roll of offal) on the occasion of the presence of our son who came from out of town and had specifically asked for it. Everything confirmed, we arrived, we chose the meat and confirmed that we wanted the marro as the main dish, the owner told us to trust him, that he had never disappointed us (clichés because we are not regulars), in short in the end our marro did not show up... and in a clumsy attempt to apologize he blamed the staff and said that the boy was not pregnant and could come back another time... in practice, evidently, someone nicer than us had been satisfied. With us he finished

07/06/2025: Macelleria mille idee is located in the Terza province of Taranto, the owner is called Gianni. All good meat made in a wood-fired fireplace you decide what you want, and I recommend you try the wine made by them and it is sweet or dry. Excellent price and it is worth it

18/07/2025: Very overpriced for a simple "fornello". I thought they were kidding when they charged us 45€/p.p. 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 Sweet family but I'd never go back, for sure.

27/06/2025: Butcher's shop with à la carte grill. Excellent home-made meatballs and sausages. Very popular with children. Simple and welcoming.

14/06/2025: The pizza wasn't bad either, too bad we had to wait literally 1 hour and 45 for two takeaway pizzas. The staff, moreover, reassured us twice after half an hour that it would be ready in 10 minutes. So in conclusion, if you have half a day free to wait for two pizzas and in the meantime you also want to be made fun of, La Cueva is the right place for you!
