29/11/2025: I'm sorry to give a less than stellar review because my toast was half-burnt, and the owner served it as if nothing had happened. The quality of the food wasn't the best... it's a shame because I searched for this place on maps to trust them, but from what I found today, it's barely passable. You have potential; you're on the main road leading to Padua; make the most of your location!

23/06/2025: Αξιοπρεπές εστιατόριο, το φαγητό ήταν καλό αλλά όχι τα κρασιά σε ποτήρι. Το περιβάλλον είναι ωραίο και η εξυπηρέτηση καλή.
21/05/2025: Ristorante nel pieno centro cittadino.
Location indubbiamente carina e di atmosfera.
Prima nota negativa: c'è un pianista al centro della sala che suona (nei weekend sicuramente) e si fa fatica a parlare.
Personale giovane ma ,seppur gentile,abbastanza inesperto.
Piatti parecchio deludenti: in sè e per sè non "cattivi" ma privi di gusto.
Pasta alla gricia DA DIMENTICARE
Tartare assolutamente NEGATIVA: non preparata davanti al tavolo come di consuetudine e assolutamente povera di condimento. Una delusione totale.
Il filetto alla Wellington unico piatto oltre la sufficienza.
Dolci nella media.
Buona la cantina ma prezzi piuttosto alti.
Conto troppo alto.
Da evitare.

18/12/2025: Although the atmosphere is very pleasant, I had a terrible experience at a graduation party. I repeatedly mentioned that one person had allergies to eggplant and mushrooms, and one to gluten. I was told that they wouldn't use the mushrooms and eggplant and that the celiac girl would be brought a special plate of cured meats just for her. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE! Two different cicchetti contained mushrooms and eggplant (luckily we tasted them first, just to be safe). We reported this, but nothing was done. The cured meats plate for the celiac girl was placed in the center, and obviously, people didn't know, so it was contaminated. This was also reported, and nothing was done!
Also, the portions were very small.
20/07/2025: Excellent experience at this bar! The drinks were delicious and fun, perfect for a special evening. The bartender, a very friendly and welcoming woman, made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. The atmosphere had a great vibe, relaxed yet lively. I'll be back!

28/04/2026: The location is splendid, overlooking Piazza della Frutta, and the cocktails and food are equally as good.
I was served by a very kind young man who always had a smile, something that's been a bit lost in bars lately. I returned the next day for breakfast, which included an excellent cappuccino and a crunchy chocolate brioche with just the right amount of chocolate.
The cleanliness was excellent, and I appreciated the tablecloths on the tables, which added a touch of comfort.
The prices are reasonable considering the location. Keep up the good work!
19/04/2026: I don't usually leave reviews, because I work with the public too and know how difficult it can be at times, but today I had a really unpleasant conversation with a gentleman who works there, very arrogant and rude. Now I know where NOT to go when I want to grab a coffee or an aperitivo.

We hope for an improvement.
Cappuccino and coffee are decent but expensive, €2.30 and €1.60 respectively.
A really sore point, the service: poor.

If you'd like to sit down, your order will be placed on a tray and you can sit wherever you like.
Several colorful tables outside as well.
The café is located opposite the Chemistry Department and on a side street off Via Jappelli.
It's super crowded at lunchtime.
The staff is very friendly and smiling.

26/04/2026: The lady at the counter was extremely unpleasant, rude, and unprofessional from start to finish. She responded coldly, was abrupt, and displayed an annoyed attitude even for simple requests from all the customers. Working with the public requires good manners and courtesy, especially if people ask questions politely.
26/04/2026: Terrible experience. Six of us went for an afternoon aperitivo. Two orders were misplaced, and when we got the bill, we were told we had to pay for things we hadn't ordered. The cashier then said, "I'm so sorry you don't even remember what you ordered." To avoid arguments, we paid without hesitation and left. The spritz was definitely not among the best we've ever had.

24/03/2026: Bar Duomo in Montegrotto offers a metaphysical experience: the illusion of existence. Despite the large window, the owner and waiter have mastered the art of ignoring customers so as not to interrupt their pleasant conversation. Entering in desperation, I order two coffees, explicitly requesting two glasses of water. Only the coffees arrive at the table, tragically alone. This indifference obviously deterred us from purchasing the bottles of water we had planned. The final blow comes at the register: no credit cards, only cash. A romantic and disorienting dive into the fiscal Middle Ages. We leave mortified. Congratulations for redefining the concept of hospitality.

Good service, intimate atmosphere, but Christmas decorations could be improved.

04/05/2026: I visited this bar recently, and unfortunately, the experience wasn't a positive one. We had three coffees and two pastries, for a total of €15.50, but the receipt didn't even clearly list all the items.
When we returned to ask the cashier for an explanation, she realized—"by mistake"—that she'd overcharged us €4, without being able to explain where this amount came from.
Honestly, I find this unfair: if we hadn't noticed, we would have unknowingly overpaid, as can probably happen to many other customers, especially tourists.
The only positive note was the young man who served us: he was kind and was the only one to apologize for the mix-up, even though he wasn't even responsible for the situation.
I recommend paying close attention to your receipt.
05/04/2026: Lovely spot to grab a bite and a drink after visiting Basilica Sant’Antonio. Our waitress was sweet and kind, helping us navigate the menu. We had a spritz and a panini and both were a delight. Our waitress told us the chef cooking our food was a man in his 80s whom cooked it with love. Grazie mille, amici!
