03/03/2024: Don't consider the negative reviews, because they mistakenly refer to another bar next door, and not to Desy Bakery. The little place is worth it, for the offer of sweet and savory dishes and for the kindness of the staff. On nice days you can comfortably sit on the outdoor tables. In addition to the goodness of the products and the kindness, I also found a lot of cleanliness and attention to the customer.

10/08/2024: Ieri sera sono stato per una cena veloce.. un hamburger basico 12 €, patate 6€ e due birrette piccole per un totale di 35€.. Spero sia stato un errore 17 euro per 2 bionde piccole😱

08/08/2024: Sono andata in questo locale con amici di svariate età , il cibo era molto buono, il servizio lento e scadente , non parliamo del titolare maleducato che ci ha risposto in malo modo un paio di volte , quando abbiamo fatto notare che ciò che avevamo ordinato non era quello che ci era stato servito ( parlo delle bevande). Far pagare le salse mi sembra anche una cosa eccessiva … per non parlare del coperto … esagerato … non ci tornerò più

09/08/2024: I didn't eat or drink anything. We arrived in Burano by ferry and I urgently needed to go to the toilet. Since you have to pay money (€1.50) for a toilet everywhere in Venice in Murano and Burano, I realized relatively quickly that I had to do the same in this restaurant. I asked if I bought something if I could go to the toilet and if I could go to the toilet first because I really had to. The lady said no, only when you've had something to drink, then you can go to the toilet and counted the drinks for me as well. I think it's generally very rude in cities and especially when you really need to go to the toilet to force someone to buy something first.

08/07/2024: Non è certo consigliabile fermarsi al primo bar che si trova appena scesi dal traghetto. Eravamo assetate e cercavano qualcosa di fresco e non pensavano certo di pagare 2 coca cola da asporto 9 euro. E non è perché siamo a Burano visto che poco più avanti il costo della stessa bevanda è decisamente più abbordabe

10/07/2024: Very nice staff, everything goes quickly and is served at your seat. Extremely delicious freshly squeezed orange juice in large glasses on ice is a recommendation when the outside temperature is 30 degrees, as are the coffee variations. Very clean cafe including the toilet.

10/07/2024: I don't understand the Google reviews, we had breakfast at this cafeteria because the smell of traditional pastries, butter and coffee was incredible. Great attention from the waitresses, agile and friendly. The croissants were very good and some buns with donut dough and cream filling were amazing. Nothing expensive for what I imagined... four people with 2 cappuccinos, two colacaos, three croissants and a cream puff 10 euros. I do recommend it for breakfast.

24/03/2024: Eravamo in città, spinti dalla voglia di provare l'alta pasticceria siamo entrati. Dopo esserci accomodati abbiamo cominciato a capire che ci sono delle cose da mettere a posto. E stata un'esperienza che ci ha lasciato delusi.

24/03/2024: Dopo aver aspettato ben 30 minuti per un maritozzo e 2 gelatine e aver visto altre persone arrivate dopo di noi essere servite prima, al nostro alzarci per andarcene nessuno ha detto nulla. Servizio imbarazzante. Se questa è la considerazione dei clienti non andateci assolutamente.

03/09/2024: If I could I would give zero! We sit in this bar to have an ice cream and already at the counter they tell us that the cone is only for takeaway but they made an exception for the little girl. My husband gets a Spritz (which they bring with a small bowl of chips), but I don't get anything because paying €12 for a cup of ice cream seems like theft to me. Once I've finished my drink I go into the bar to use the bathroom, I ask where it is and a lady with a Spanish accent tells me "it's out on the terrace". I understand that I have to go out because the bathroom is outside but a waitress tells me "He asked you if you are one of our customers sitting outside"; I reply "of course" and she "just say yes" in an arrogant and rude manner. I'll leave aside what condition the bathroom was in, there are very explanatory photos in another review. To conclude, my husband goes to pay and the waitress complains because the little girl sat down to eat the cone and wanted an extra €0.50! What can I say, stay away from this bar, I think there is better in Verona.

29/08/2024: CAREFUL!! The tub of ice cream with very small quantities, mine specifically had an ant, when I told it to the waitress with short hair and glasses she made me look bad and she kicked us out of the premises, insulting us as we left. They have put the pallet back into storage with ant included.

21/08/2024: Abbiamo fatto un'ottima colazione! C'è parecchia scelta per quanto riguarda le brioches e anche il caffé! Personale gentile e cordiale!

15/07/2024: Quando siamo a Verona facciamo quasi sempre colazione qui per un buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Apprezziamo particolarmente i pasticciotti, un po'meno la condizione di tavolini ed ombrelloni.

01/08/2024: Ein guter Platz um einen netten und gepflegten Abend zu verbringen. Essen ist ok. Service erinnert ein wenig an Massenabfertigung aber nichts desto trotz kann man es sich dort schmecken lassen. Die Preise sind eigentlich ganz moderat und angemessen wenn man bedenkt das es eine Touristenhochburg ist.

01/08/2024: Het eten is hier matig. We hadden onder andere 2 vega burgers besteld waarvan er 1 koud was. Nadat we dit aangegeven hadden werd deze opgehaald en na 1 min weer terug gebracht. Is deze met broodje, saus en groente zo in de magnetron geschoven. Het drinken werd voor de helft geserveerd zonder ijsklontjes (Het was 37 graden dus dit is vrij normaal dat je een ijsklontje in je cola mag verwachten) Bij het bedienend personeel kon er sowieso geen lach vanaf maar de hoofdpropper die je naar binnen schreeuwt hoort echt niet in een restaurant thuis. Wij kregen een tafel aangewezen maar andere mensen die via de zijkant plaats wilde nemen op het terras kregen gewoon de wind van voren, lijkt me in de horeca niet echt de bedoeling. Wij zullen hier iig niet meer terug komen en raden andere ook aan om iets anders te zoeken.

25/06/2024: Reading the bad reviews, I can't say I had the same experience. The coffee and croissant were delicious, service was fine, I tried to order in italian (that i learned over a 1 hour flight) and the staff didn't have any bad reactions. The price of coffee was fine by me, I don't think it's unfair to give cheaper prices to locals. I think it's a matter of perspective.

05/06/2024: The worst coffee experience I had in my life and also very expensive. I ordered a coffee with cream and they brought me a touch of coffee and my wife an undrinkable whipped coffee. Please don't go to that place. It's a waste

08/08/2024: It was a random walk-in in our case and honestly, rather get food from the Coop nearby and eat it in a park instead of going to this place. Canned mushrooms on a very meh pizza is all I can say.

31/07/2024: Happened along this restaurant on a Tuesday evening in Venice sat outside watching the world go by The service was good but not over bearing - we had 2 beers, some water, 2 appetisers and 2 Mail meals (one steak one raviolli) for €92 which we thought was good for the setting and quality of the food

31/08/2024: The staff were really friendly, he joked that I'm quite shy for someone from the UK which was sweet. I have to admit the food prices were quite high but if you ask for tap water (and trust me you will need it) it should cost you a few euros less.

03/09/2024: This is THE worst place ever, the price did not match the food quality, it was taste less and super expensive for so small portions. Our food was 18€ but they took twice, so we ended up using 36€! Absolutely disgusting service and behavior, if I could give negative stars I would. It’s a scam! STAY AWAY!

28/08/2024: I stopped to get half a liter of water, which I pay 2.50 euros for, and I ask where the toilets are. They tell me they don't have them. Ok, the law says (if I remember correctly) that if consumption is not foreseen on site, they are not mandatory, but in my opinion it would be correct for them to be there.

23/08/2024: Sehr unfreundliches Personal, um 10:00 Uhr bekamen meine Kinder kein Eis, weil die Truhe noch nicht eingeräumt war. Es gibt bessere Lokale nebenan!
