07/03/2025: Friday March 7, 25 at lunchtime. Espresso / extra class - almond biscuits or something similar / can be seen in the photo - just good - service lady nice and friendly - came here on the recommendation of local citizens - thank you to the 2 Alpini gentlemen - many thanks to the restaurant - everything is fine - 💁🇦🇹🙋 greet you - oops - using the toilet was no problem either - super clean ☀️🤝 . With the best will in the world, we can't understand the negative reviews - but: an 🇦🇹 Austrian proverb says: ** as you shout (call) into the forest - that's how the echo comes back - rules of etiquette have probably been forgotten.
05/01/2025: How to have your day ruined... I have been working in the restaurant industry for 25 years and I have never given or received such arrogant and brazen treatment. Keep away from that lady at the bar, even if you need the bathroom: if you don't consume a lot, she won't even let you use it! We are in 2025: evolve! At least according to what the law requires, i.e. that a public establishment must guarantee the bathroom (and also hot water to be honest), especially for a fee. Go work in the fields, if it's not in your nature to relate peacefully with people... you're only doing us a favor!

20/04/2025: This was the worst tourist trap we experienced in Venice. The prices displayed outside on boards are completely fake — once you sit down, they just make up prices based on who you are.
We were charged €6 for a coffee, while locals paid €2. Every item was inflated by €2–5, and they added hidden charges. There are no real prices on the menu, and customer service was rude and dismissive.
The staff clearly know what they’re doing — the whole setup is designed to scam tourists. Avoid at all costs.
19/04/2025: The coffee was extremely overpriced, which cost €7 and was not noted in the menu. The food tasted fairly but the pasta was cold inside, suggesting it might be reheated.

10/02/2025: Salida familiar para un evento especial. Nos decepcionó que no se permitiera elegir una mesa de 4 del A la Carta sino que solo estuviera disponible el menú gastronómico (y no habíamos recibido el correo electrónico que se suponía que nos había informado). Así que nada de probar el menú como hacemos habitualmente.
Si bien la comida estaba muy bien presentada, carecía de la finura y precisión de cocción que esperaríamos al pagar el precio de un restaurante Michelin de 2 estrellas (que no tienen! ). Las salsas no eran apropiadas (y las verduras que las acompañaban eran verduras de invierno, mientras estábamos a principios de agosto). Muy decepcionante. Por último, como no teníamos opción, tomar 2 postres era demasiado (probablemente no habríamos tenido postres si hubiera tenido la opción). ¡Y claramente el chef es un cocinero, no un pastelero!
En el lado positivo, nuestro camarero era simplemente increíblemente amable y servicial (en la medida de lo posible).
TBH, recomendaría la pizzería (el mismo propietario) en la misma plaza: parecía fabuloso por solo una fracción del precio!
01/02/2025: Posiblemente la mejor comida y servicio que tuvimos en nuestras tres semanas de viaje en Italia y Venecia. Aunque el menú es compacto los platos eran innovadores, impresionantemente presentados y súper deliciosos. Las vieiras eran tan frescas y me encantó ese postre de tomate confitado. Nuestro servidor, que era simplemente precioso, nos animó a probar un vino veneciano local con uno de nuestros platos y era divino. Todas sus otras sugerencias de vino eran igualmente buenas. Si viviera aquí sería mi restaurante local favorito. Muchas gracias por una noche maravillosa y un gran recuerdo de Venecia.

07/03/2025: Smiling and humorous people, friendly service, perfect food & perfect wines :) What more could a person ask for? Especially when dining with friends and colleagues. The whole package existed at Locanda del Pompiere.
As fine as dining could get with a friendly touch!!! Not all restaurants achieve quality with smiling people serving the tables. Most of them have good food and good service, but the human touch isn't there. A smiling face adds so much more.

23/10/2023: We had an absolutely delicious meal here and were spoiled with exceptionally pleasant service. Our experience was simply wonderful and we are already looking forward to coming back.

09/01/2025: Molto affollato e confusionale, addirittura a pranzo hanno inibito l'uso di bancomat e devi fare bancomat . Assurdo . Ho dovuto lasciare tutto perché non avevo CONTANTI!!!
Per gli operatori interni hanno un sorriso mentre con gli ospiti sono sbrigativi e poco disponibili.
