12/07/2026: Excellent family run restaurant above Domodossola, big terrasse which is the best spot to spend some hours enjoying the seafood oriented surprise menu or a la carte dishes. Excellent wines, affordable prices and wonderful staff. Worth even a longer trip to get there.

Entering, and especially returning, is a small homecoming every time.

ORDERED AS PER THE MENU A PIEDMONTESE HAMBURGER WITH MELTED CHEESE AND CRISPY BACON ON THE PLATE .... A TASTELESS SOLE OF SHOE AND THERE WAS NOTHING PIEDMONTESE OTHER THAN BEING OVERCOOKED THEN SEE THE PHOTOS ... AH I WOULD POINT OUT THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE ACCESS FOR THE DISABLED AND UNFORTUNATELY WE WERE TO FORGET ABOUT EVERYTHING OF COURSE THE NAME IS A GUARANTEE

30/07/2026: Two of us visited this restaurant and tried the seafood and lake-fry. Both were delicious, with crispy fried fish, accompanied by French fries and mixed battered vegetables: a truly perfect pairing. Of the two, we preferred the seafood; the lake-fry, being primarily made with bluefish, naturally has a less distinctive and distinct flavor, which may be less appealing. Unfortunately, however, there were a few things that left us a bit perplexed. We ordered a still white wine by the glass and were served a very fortified wine, almost reminiscent of a passito, which, to our taste, wasn't particularly suited to accompanying the meal. Furthermore, when we asked about the name of the wine, the waitress couldn't provide an answer. The service also seemed a bit disorganized. The wait was quite long, and we noticed several empty tables, despite there being only four or five occupied tables. Speaking as a former waitress, I understand that it's not an easy job, but precisely for this reason, I believe the service could improve significantly. The table next to ours, for example, remained uncleared for almost the entire duration of our dinner. Another thing I personally found lacking in attention was the presence of a young woman dressed in decidedly informal clothing and without an apron, who at a certain point started serving dishes to the tables. As a customer, seeing someone serve food like that doesn't exactly convey a professional impression. The ambiance could also use a little more attention: some chairs weren't particularly clean, reusable plastic placemats... and several potted plants were completely dry, while others were beautiful and well-kept. These are details, sure, but they make a difference because appearance also matters. That said, the food is good, and we really enjoyed the fried fish. Precisely for this reason, it's a shame that small lapses in organization and care end up penalizing an experience that, with a little more attention, could be decidedly better.

Dogs are welcome (treated like customers). Ask for "Adam" for top-notch 5-star service. I'm not kidding. If you come to Omegna, you have to stop by. Kiss kisses 😘
