28/11/2025: A small, intimate restaurant with a "mountain house" atmosphere. You're greeted very kindly by the chef (owner?). The menu is very unique and also caters to celiacs, dairy intolerant people, and vegetarians. There's also a meat selection. I personally enjoyed two excellent dishes. I also appreciated the unusual choice of tableware: some porcelain, some ceramic, "antique" pieces, so they don't match, but they worked very well together with that tasteful, retro touch...

I ate a truly delicious and rich piadina.
When I return to the Formazza Valley, it will be a pleasure to stop here.

04/10/2025: Went there for lunch on an autumn sunny Saturday. Sea food pizza and mix fried seafood dish. Awesome. Food is really delicious. The staff is friendly and kind. English is spoken. They offer “home made sparkling” water which I appreciated.
Honestly my experience is positive, highly recommend the place and wouldn’t hesitate get back there. Worth the visit, worth the price, worth the experience.

24/09/2025: It has always been my go-to place for excellent breakfasts, large brioches, excellent aperitifs with delicious platters and delicious snacks based on extraordinary cakes, true delicacies, reasonable prices. I have always been welcomed with kindness and friendliness in an environment that I was told has been renovated with a refined and unique taste. I have always found in Francesca and her children Laura and Alberto dear friends who I remember with affection. Our 4-legged friends are welcome. Macugnaga is a unique, enchanted beauty and the inhabitants always welcome you, as in this wonderful pastry shop, the pinnacle of the place. I highly recommend it.
18/08/2025: Beautiful place and very kind staff, the owner is really nice, the cakes are fantastic, today I had a piece of strudel (unfortunately there was little left) but it was one of the best I have ever eaten

16/10/2025: We happened upon this little bar quite spontaneously and by chance—a real stroke of luck! We had two cappuccinos and two small desserts, both excellent. The cappuccino was creamy and aromatic, and the accompanying dolci were simply delicious and lovingly made. A very cozy atmosphere and friendly service. We would definitely come back to try the other dolci!

24/08/2025: We had a quick aperitivo at this wine bar and were pleased with both the selection and the quality of the wine.
The dry Lambrusco reminded me a lot of the Bolognese evenings I spent living in Emilia, and I can't recommend it enough.
Along with the glasses, they also bring a small plate with mini pizzas and some appetizers.
For €5, I think it's absolutely worth it.
The service is fast and very friendly.
I recommend taking a tour of the interior; it's truly beautiful and has a historic feel.

08/11/2025: I went on Friday, November 7, 2025, and had a cappuccino and a coffee. The coffee, served in a large cup, was very good. The place was clean and the staff were friendly. A special mention goes to the very clean bathroom. Prices were reasonable.
