16/05/2026: We stopped for lunch, and ate casoncelli bresciani and torta della nonna. They were delicious.
Fast, efficient, and friendly service, welcoming atmosphere.
10/05/2026: Today, after the exhibition at Palazzo Martinengo, on the recommendation of the guy at the bookstore, my friends and I went to this small but cozy place. I found the staff friendly, the food excellent, and the service fast.
Must try the casoncelli 😋
I'll definitely be back 👍👏👏
A year later, I returned with my friends. It's now a regular stop after the exhibition. The casoncelli were delicious, along with the chocolate and pear cake and a nice prosecco. We had a great time.

We're so convinced we're entitled to everything that we too often forget that finding courtesy and helpfulness behind the counter is an added value worth rewarding.

22/07/2026: We discovered this place thanks to a friend's recommendation. The restaurant is small but meticulously decorated, with tasteful details. The atmosphere: Being intimate and cozy, the space can be a bit noisy at peak times. The menu offers a carefully selected selection of dishes, ideal for those who prefer quality rather than endless menus. The wine selection is the most impressive, with refined labels and excellent pairings. Our choices were: classic carbonara and a fresh and flavorful seafood pasta.
For main courses, my companion chose a substantial choice: the traditional cutlet on the bone, tasty and beautifully presented. For me, a delicious and light zucchini tart, perfect as a vegetarian option or appetizer.
The quality of the ingredients is excellent, and the kindness and cheerfulness of the owner is also noteworthy.

18/04/2026: A very intimate restaurant, with a limited menu but meticulous attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients.
The open kitchen, overlooking the dining room, creates a sense of closeness and hospitality that makes you feel instantly at home.
The dishes showcase the ingredients and create interesting flavor contrasts, without ever being forced.
During dinner, an off-menu dish deeply moved my girlfriend, a bit like the scene with Anton Ego in Ratatouille. With her first taste, she found herself transported back to her childhood, in another country, where food was the center of conviviality and was prepared with the same care and attention.
A place I recommend to those seeking intimacy, authenticity, and cuisine capable of touching the emotions as well as the palate.
04/04/2026: I don’t write reviews often but I have to review this gem of a cafe. I ate and had coffee once here two years ago and it blew my mind it was so good. And the owner was super friendly and thoughtful about everything on his menu. I’ve thought about this place many times and finally had a chance to come back two years later. It was just as memorable as two years ago. One of my absolute favorite spots for speciality coffee and food in Europe.

Friendly staff. I want to applaud the black-haired, bespectacled waitress who took orders on Saturday, October 4, 2025. She was truly professional and kind. It's hard to find people so good at their jobs these days.

20/02/2026: I went to this restaurant on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, for a vegan dinner... and alas, I have to say that the menu, while well-conceived, was rather tasteless and cold! The appetizer was a flan with creamed leeks (if I remember correctly) served cold... honestly, since it's not summer, it could have been at least lukewarm; it would have been tastier. For my first course, I had black rice with radicchio served over a creamed... sorry, I can't be specific, but I don't have the menu handy. This was also served cold. The second course was a fajoada served lukewarm, not at all spicy (despite the fact that they told you all the dishes would be spicy) and absolutely lacking in depth. The chef could have added a vegan stew to give a little more body to the dish, which ultimately was just beans with tomato sauce. To finish, a chocolate cake made with the same basic dough as the appetizer (which is fine, the dough was good). The cake was good, but if the chocolate had been warm and slightly spicy, it would have been better (to be fair, my friend tasted a bit of chili pepper in her cake). Even the sauce we were given to accompany the dishes or as a snack before the main courses wasn't anything special. It's a shame, it could have been an excellent dinner. I ate it, but I didn't leave with my taste buds buzzing. It's certainly not the kind of menu I'd offer a carnivore to change their mind. The Enzo cocktail and the licorice mojito, however, were very good.
