I recommend it to anyone passing through or near the station, hungry but certainly not broke. The interior is pleasant and well-maintained, making you forget the less-than-pleasant surroundings. The dishes and aromas are authentic Brescian fare. The menu is rich in choice, perhaps too much for those who are eternally indecisive. The portions are generous and flavorful, without being overbearing. If you find the chef on the right night, you truly dine like a king. I've been five times; three times I've been very satisfied, the other times a bit disappointed (very high expectations dashed). The wine list is quite interesting, certainly not competitively priced. The desserts are very good, the coffee pleasant. A decent selection of grappas. The service is courteous and helpful. Prices are certainly not those of a fast food restaurant.

A historic restaurant for me
I used to go there every time I was in Brescia for work. Nothing has changed. The food, including the casoncelli, was excellent. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely.

Due to the rain, we went to the first restaurant that Google showed us. My three-year-old ate a whole portion for the first time in his life. Great food. The staff was very friendly and polite. Menu only in Italian, we almost ordered at random, but everything was perfect!

A restaurant just steps from the Brescia train station.
I came in to eat alone during a business trip.
I was very impressed by the kindness, the quality of the dishes, and the attention to ingredients and preparation.
I had snails as an appetizer and Brescia-style tripe. "Old-fashioned" food, truly well-made, something that sometimes isn't made anymore.

Excellent family-run trattoria. Extensive menu that caters to a variety of tastes and needs. Friendly and fast staff. I really enjoyed the tagliolini with truffle, freshly sliced by the chef.
