A very quaint and historic bar located in the heart of Gaeta. Service was quick and efficient despite the large number of customers, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Try their famous giant cappuccinos with cocoa and their delicious, sweet and indulgent sour cherry tarts, the best in the city!
10/08/2025: Excellent bar in the center of Gaeta's old town, near the port. Delicious shortbread and excellent coffee. Outdoor seating is available for a quick snack.

Too bad about the bad experience with the meat, unfortunately it went a bit too far in conservation...
It's not the first time that it happens to me in different places, I've always eaten meat and I know it well.
It's not a question of aging or particular flavor of foreign meats, but rather of poorly preserved meat.
Strong smell also felt at the next table, the diners at the table turn around and confirm that their meat (different cut) had the same smell and flavor.
Obviously, as every time I kindly point it out, we are told that it is the type of meat... basically, the same story everywhere...
more cuts of different types had the taste and smell of rotten meat... but oh well, maybe I'm crazy...
To be precise, we are talking about the Brazilian cut that was supposed to be accompanied by Palmito... of which not even a shadow...
Bread missing...
Too bad because the fillet with truffle and the parmigiana are worth it, ruining yourself like this is a shame
In the meantime, I'm walking around Gaeta at midnight looking for an open pizzeria after a day of fasting...

24/08/2025: A historic restaurant in old Gaeta, tucked away in a small internal square.
Exquisite food and local ingredients. Their signature dish, the calamari, is a must-try.
Also try the sautéed truffles and the octopus alla Luciana.
The waiter Franco is an institution, courteous and professional.
The prices are fair, the tables are beautifully set and have tablecloths.
The trattoria has been there since 1920... and it will stay that way because it's one of the best restaurants in Gaeta. It's not a tourist spot; it's for locals who love good food.

Un pacchetto alla siciliana da incubo con melanzane molle e piene di semi,un’altro piatto paccheri con pesce spada e melanzane con il sapore di polipetti.
Da evitare sicuramente
28/07/2025: I ordered the seafood pasta, grilled seafood platter, and a risotto. The seafood pasta and mussels were excellent, especially the mussels which seem to be a specialty here. But the grilled seafood was overcooked; the fish skin was so burnt it was inedible. The place has a charming local atmosphere, plenty of parking and the servers can communicate in english.

15/07/2025: Four of us came for breakfast with cappuccinos and croissants. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't the best: no table service and a rather long wait just to order. We asked for four cold cappuccinos, and when we asked, the employee at the counter reacted with obvious annoyance, uttering an unprofessional comment in front of us. Her attitude immediately conveyed a lack of enthusiasm and zero customer service.
It's a shame, because the breakfast itself was very good: fresh croissants and well-made cappuccinos. It wouldn't take much to improve the overall experience, starting with the manners and a modicum of courtesy.
04/07/2025: Excellent croissants with different fillings at the moment. Very good coffee!
