30/09/2025: A point of reference in Reggio for a good breakfast...an aperitif...a quick lunch prepared on the spot with adequate service in a place with its own tea room and in the summer a comfortable summer terrace.
07/09/2025: A clean and tidy bar with outdoor seating. Excellent coffee and savory options, too. I stopped by during the Sagra della Giareda festival, and the entire staff was incredibly quick and friendly, even with the large number of customers.

03/07/2025: I happened upon this bar for a coffee since I was working in the area. The atmosphere is welcoming and familiar and the two girls who work there are very kind and thoughtful.

27/02/2025: This à la carte sushi restaurant is small, but I find it very charming. The sushi is good quality, but I have to say that for the price, I definitely expected something a little better, especially in the flavor of the uramaki and the presentation of the sushi "boat." I also didn't find the desserts to be very flavorful. The Negroni they make is very good.

06/06/2025: Small pastry shop in the Pappagnocca neighborhood. The staff is always very helpful and kind. I find the pastries good and you can tell they are not frozen/industrial products, then the tastes are always personal. They do not do table service but it is not a disgrace to get a coffee from the machine. Lying under the porch, in the morning it is practically always in the shade. Average prices. I recommend for those who want to take a 5 minute break and enjoy a nice break.

20/09/2025: I stopped by this bar for a quick break, but I immediately regretted it. The waiters were rude from the start, almost as if being a nuisance was part of the service. Zero courtesy, and a tone of voice that to call rude is a compliment.
The real surprise, however, came when it came to the bill: €5 for a 200ml Coke. You read that right. A tiny can, served at a completely out of this world price.
I understand that bars need to make money, but this is bordering on scammy.
Highly not recommended, unless you're a fan of bad moods and jewelry-store prices for supermarket products.
21/06/2025: I was unable to try the cocktails because when we asked to provide us with a table for 7 people they put two tables together, we made an order for 6 drinks, we were 4 adults and three children, after having made the order the waitress told us that the place is full and they are taking away a table, explaining this with the reason that children are not considered customers and for them only chairs are provided and not the table, absurd

12/10/2025: A traumatic experience. We went in one morning for a simple breakfast and found ourselves faced with a surreal scene: a man at the counter, presumably the owner (white hair), yelling at and humiliating the waiters in front of all the customers. Unacceptable and shameful behavior.
After sitting for a while without anyone paying us any attention, a waiter kindly approached to take our order... and the man verbally attacked him again, for no reason at all. At that point, we got up and left.
In 2025, it's unthinkable that people still exist who run a place with such arrogance and zero respect for the staff and the customers.
Avoid him like the plague, at least as long as that man is behind the counter.

31/03/2025: Ci siamo trovati alla Botte Golosa dopo una piacevole visita a Brescello per festeggiare la ricorrenza di un compleanno. Nonostante la parte esterna del locale non sia così invitante, l’interno merita invece una menzione d’onore. L’atmosfera è molto intima e il locale è molto accogliente e curato. Originale l’idea di utilizzare vecchie botti come tavoli. Il gestore del locale è stato molto disponibile, attento alle nostre esigenze, simpatico, ma mai invadente. Cucina tradizionale, ma veramente soddisfacente. Tagliere di salumi e formaggi ottimo, ma definirei spaziali gli strozzapreti alla Peppone. Crostata con cioccolato, amaretti e meringa veramente golosa. Rapporto qualità/prezzo veramente buono.
Se passate da Brescello inserite la Botte Golosa tra le vostre tappe!😉
