22/07/2024: Outdoor seating area was so crowded, can barely pull your seat out to sit down. Specials cocktails list had no prices, with waiter instantly trying to upsell them. Requested a proper drinks menu with prices, ordered the frozen mango cocktail, received a large lemon decorated with fruit, great presentation but no hint of frozen mango at all. The drink had ice cubes with a liquid which just tasted like cheap Prosecco. Not worth the 18 euros ($29.52 AUD). Don’t waste your time, keep walking to somewhere more authentic with better service.

07/05/2024: After returning from a pleasant boat experience, my girlfriend and I decided to order 2 pizzas to go from this restaurant. At first, everything went well with the waiter taking my order and helping to break down a bill even though I was paying with card. I decided to use the restroom while we waited, and once I returned to my waiting area in front of the cashier, I had an unpleasant interaction with the older, short haired woman behind the counter who works the register. She tried to extort money from me for using the restroom despite me being a paying customer. I clearly saw the waiter speak to her about our order and saw me receive the smaller bills I had asked for. She insisted in Italian that I pay her even when I used my phone to translate that I was a paying customer. Seeing that she was relentless, I called over the waiter who took my order to help straighten things out (thinking there might be a language barrier). At first he seemed to be in my favor, but unfortunately he gave in to her demands and started asking for me to pay him directly (I'm guessing she might be the manger). I didn't budge knowing very well that the whole situation was dishonest and an attempt take advantage of a foreign tourist. My pizza arrived, and I pointed to it saying I'm a paying customer that should be able to use the restroom, which I'm sure is a universal policy for most businesses. They finally relented and the woman just walked away saying “well I didn't know” or “I wasn't aware”. Would not return here as a customer, and I would urge foreign tourists to be aware of these two dishonest staff members. Pizza was decent but this whole interaction left a sour taste in my mouth.

19/05/2024: A must visit in Cusano Mutri. Top quality coffee and croissants for breakfast, the best choice of spirits nationally and internationally. Friendly and competent staff all year around.

26/12/2023: 🍸 Historic bar in the splendid village of 🏘️ Cusano Mutri. Granted as a fiefdom to the Sanframondo family, who held it until the mid-1400s, Cusano subsequently passed through the hands of multiple feudal families: de Vera (1467), Gaetani (1480), Carafa, Del Tufo, Origlia, Monsorio, Barrionovo. Shortly before the subversion of feudalism the local population burned the castle (1780). The local economy was based above all on sheep farming and the wool industry: Cusanesi woolen cloths, called "pannitti", were cheaper and less valuable than those produced in nearby Cerreto Sannita. The decline began in the second half of the eighteenth century when, among other things, the privatization of the Foggia customs put the system of transhumance in crisis. Cusano was part of the Terra di Lavoro and, after the Unification of Italy, entered the province of Benevento within the Cerreto Sannita district.

08/08/2024: Il titolare gentilissimo ci ha fatto accomodare nonostante fosse pieno e non avessimo una prenotazione. Abbiamo cenato dietro suo consiglio con un delizioso XL ed un saltimbocca a dir poco eccezionale. Consigliatissimo.

26/07/2024: Una atmosfera accogliente e moderna silile ad un american bar di livello superiore e curato nei dettagli, con un bellissimo panorama. Una accoglienza mai vista sul tutta isola. Personale preparato, disponibile, servizio eccellente. Piatti con bena aprezentazione, ben forniti e cottura perfetta. Una vasta selezione di vini e ottimi cocktail.

13/07/2024: Siamo stati io e mia figlia per l escursione al sentiero degli Dei, alla fine una buonissima limonata. Posto bellissimo e personale gentile

13/06/2024: We called ahead to arrange lunch for 16 after hiking the Path of Gods. Francesco greeted us with delicious sandwiches, salads, tarts, and drinks. Plus, he reserved space for our large group. The lemon granita was refreshing after the 2+ hour hike. Most of us enjoyed two. If you’re planning to hike the Path of Gods, this is “the place” to stop for lunch. Not only is the food scrumptious, but the hospitality was also excellent.
