31/07/2025: We took a 15 euro taxi to arrive at the restaurant before the kitchen close at 2:30 ( we arrived at 2:10). The cook said that he did not want to change to cook and when we insisted became aggressive. We really looked forward to Ethiopian as a great meal in Turin but it turned out to be the worst experience.

The food is very good and inexpensive, and the ingredients are homemade and of high quality. I highly recommend this place; the exterior is truly lovely. I can't wait to go back!

25/07/2025: Nice place. There's both the La Piazza pub-brewery and the La Piazza restaurant on the first floor. I recommend both. The restaurant was really good, but I haven't been there in a while.

22/07/2025: I've been frequenting La Piazza dei Mestieri for just under twenty years, often offering it to friends for dinner. I've lived in Turin for six years and regularly cycle there. It's always been my custom to walk my bike in and place it against the flowerbeds to the left of the entrance. Last night, the security officer forbade me from bringing it into the courtyard, precisely for security reasons. I went out to look for a pole to tie it to, but there were no free poles nearby (except for a low one that would have been very easy to remove from above). Given the sentimental value this object has for me, and considering how easily bicycles are stolen in our city, I insisted on letting them bring it in. The owner of the place told me that if he'd seen me before, given the ban, he wouldn't have let me in before (I think that makes sense), but he still went out of his way to find a solution. The security guard, however, was adamant: for security reasons, it wasn't possible to bring it into the courtyard. It's a shame there were other bikes and even scooters inside. When I asked him why, if for security reasons, they were allowed in and mine wasn't, he replied that he wasn't required to explain. I should point out that I'm talking about a perfectly normal bike, which is invisible leaning against the wall in a context like that. I tried to explain to him that there's no point in encouraging people to use alternative modes of transport to the car with projects like the new pedestrian zones right outside the square if we then clash over these things, but he scoffed and replied (exactly): "If that's okay, the next thing you say to me will be about global warming." The discussion continued in front of several people, with the individual arrogantly ordering me to take my bike away. This was a completely illogical situation, as I was pointing to another bike leaning against the wall and a scooter a little further away, their respective owners sitting comfortably at tables, and he made no attempt to explain what was and was not allowed, either to me or to those with me. What left me most shocked, however, was the arrogance, conceit, and complete lack of dialogue on the part of the person in charge at the entrance, with whom any attempt at reasoning was impossible. In hindsight, given that the issue (according to him) was safety, and therefore the other bike and scooter owners were evidently endangering it, I should have called the Carabinieri. I will definitely suggest another venue for our future dinners.

13/07/2025: I celebrated my 60th birthday with friends for lunch. The appetizer, first course, and second course were all fish. The food was excellent, divinely prepared, and the portions were generous. The staff was very professional and helpful. It was an experience I'd repeat. More than satisfied, I highly recommend it.

04/08/2025: We enjoyed a family lunch at Dogali Ristorante Pizzeria in Giaveno, overlooking the Sangone Valley. It's a spacious and bright restaurant with free parking and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is friendly, and the staff were kind, helpful, and cheerful, contributing to an overall pleasant experience. The seafood dishes—including pasta dishes and fried foods—were plentiful and flavorful, with a good selection of ingredients, which everyone appreciated. There was a slight inconsistency in the service, with some dishes arriving at the table at different times, but nothing particularly significant. The prices are in the medium-high range (for example, €16 for paccheri with seafood), but consistent with the quality of the offerings. In conclusion: the lunch was well-managed, with generous and carefully prepared dishes and friendly service. The prices are slightly above average, but, come on, justified by the quality.

17/07/2025: We got married on May 10, 2025. We chose Ultimo Borgo restaurant after attending a wedding there a few years ago. We were immediately impressed; the welcome aperitif was exceptional, and the menu and dessert buffet were unforgettable. So, when it came time to choose the restaurant for our wedding, we had no hesitation! Simone was with us every step of the way. He and Roberto guided us through every dish. They were always available to answer any of our questions. The wedding day was perfect, and we received countless compliments in the days and weeks that followed. Delicious food with attention to every detail, impeccable service, precise and attentive staff, and a discreet and simple location. We absolutely recommend them! You can't go wrong with Ultimo Borgo!

They were able to guide us through all our decisions, accommodated every request, and were always courteous and kind. The aperitif was dreamy, the food sublime, and to top it off, the dessert buffet was out of this world! Our guests are still complimenting us on it, even after so long. Thank you guys, you made our wedding unique! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Various and tasty cuisine The menu offers a balanced mix of meat and fish dishes, with a particular focus on grilled dishes, recommended for their quality, portions, and flavor. Excellent value Easy booking through The Fork, with a discount applied without any problems. Transparent and professional service completes a positive experience.

16/07/2025: A very large and spacious hotel with lots of charm. Access is easy, perfect for a comfortable stay. The on-site restaurant offers very good food; we really enjoyed it! A real plus: the artistic decoration on the walls, with paintings of artists and actors, which creates a unique and warm atmosphere. One small drawback: we were a little surprised by the presence of ladybugs in certain parts of the hotel. It's not a problem, but it's worth noting for sensitive people. Overall, a very good stay, I recommend it!

They serve delicious pizza and seafood, all freshly prepared. It's one of the best spots to enjoy a casual meal in a laid-back setting. We tried several dishes—everything was tasty, but among the desserts, the tiramisu stands out as the best. The wine selection is small but features mostly local varieties, which adds to the authentic experience. The owner is an elderly Italian gentleman who doesn’t speak English, but he has an intuitive sense for recommending dishes you’ll enjoy. Highly recommended for a true local dining experience.

Il cibo è semplicemente buonissimo: ingredienti freschi, sapori genuini e porzioni generose che raccontano la passione per la cucina. Il personale è attento, cortese e professionale, sempre pronto a consigliare il piatto giusto e a far sentire gli ospiti a proprio agio. Una nota di merito speciale al cameriere che ci ha servito: disponibile, sorridente e molto competente. Torneremo sicuramente!

04/08/2025: From me, a five-star overall. First of all, you eat on real tablecloths; the modern setting is meticulously designed. The service is excellent, with highly trained and courteous wait staff (without being overbearing), even accommodating allergy sufferers. Classic dishes revisited and masterfully crafted with a blend of flavors and colors; the great Piedmontese classics are also excellent. Fantastic drinks; the price is worth it.
