16/10/2024: At the end of September I was there with my wife and our two little girls. We had a very good time: clean rooms, everyone was very kind and helpful at reception, at the bar and in the restaurant. I plan to return as soon as possible.

12/08/2024: A bitter return I have known this restaurant for many years now, and it has always been a regular stop for me here in Tortoreto. Its strong points were the quality of the ingredients, the price and the generous portions. After returning to the venue this year I was able to see that these strengths have unfortunately changed. The restaurant seems to have worn very different clothes from those of a few years ago. The place has become a high-end restaurant that also offers tastings, in itself this choice does not lead to any problems except that the dishes that were once offered have remained the same, only with halved portions and double the price. A choice that could have been acceptable has become nothing more than a sad change of facade that unfortunately maintains the same substance. After these changes I don't think I will return to the restaurant, which although remaining a good restaurant, in its new guise remains mediocre compared to the competition. A small, honest and affordable local restaurant has lost all the qualities that were attractive to its long-time customers, so it was a very bitter return.

26/07/2024: Pleasant return this evening with my family for dinner here at Squalo and I am pleased to confirm everything written below. Everything is always good and fresh. "I discovered this restaurant over 44 years ago when I found myself in Tortoreto Lido for work. The owner Antonio (Tonino) is an exquisite person and always up to par. The courtesy and kindness combined with the quality and variety of the dishes with fish always fresh and excellently cooked, they are a winning cocktail. Always satisfied every time I used their cuisine. FROM SUMMER 2023 THEY NO LONGER DO TAKE AWAY SERVICE. Definitely recommended.

15/10/2024: Well-kept place, excellent food, excellent meat literally from producer to consumer. Friendly and helpful staff. Average prices. The only flaw, but only for my personal need, is that they don't have a gluten-free alternative for the first courses which I assure you were really very inviting.. However, absolutely recommended..

04/09/2024: Don't go to work in this place!!!!!! I worked in the kitchen this summer, and I wasn't paid everything I was promised. I'll answer you here: I don't think it's convenient for them to put the pay slip online, because everyone knows that by doing 2 shifts in a restaurant you can never work 4 hours a day as you stated, then the name of the person who made the pay slips is also available and it's also negative publicity for them. Nowadays being honest is a virtue that not everyone can afford.

01/09/2024: This place is paradise!! If you thought that paradise didn't exist you were very wrong, come to this place and you will realize it! I'm always very fussy with reviews... and I'll tell you about my experience. The place is located on a hill in the middle of the greenery, quiet and welcoming. So if you want to relax and get away from everything it's the ideal place. I was a guest one day, just for the pool and I had a great time. The staff is very polite, friendly and welcoming. The service is so impeccable that they even bring you cocktails directly to your umbrella at the pool. In the afternoon there is the possibility of eating fruit grown by them and cocktails while you are calmly relaxed on the very comfortable sun loungers by the pool. There is a bar service outside for making your own drinks. There are two bathrooms kept clean and very well. Behind the swimming pool there is a very well-kept forest, so you can easily take 4 steps in the area in complete tranquility. Pets are allowed. The people are all polite, there are no shouts and shouts because in any case it is a controlled place. To book to just go to the pool without staying overnight you need to call and arrange with the reception because places are always extremely limited, to rightly give priority to the well-being of those staying at the hotel. I give top marks! Pool kept extremely clean. There is nothing out of place and everything is in order. Getting there by car is a bit awkward on the road, but in the end it is possible. Because being at the top of a hill, even parking has to be done on a slope on a somewhat bumpy road, but it's still worth it.

16/10/2024: Sicuramente buona la pizza ma i prezzi sono realmente fuori da ogni logica. Pagare 50 euro a persona mangiando pizza e birra non ha alcun senso. Ci dispiace perché è un posto che ci ha visti spesso ospiti ma gli incrementi di prezzo sullo scontrino sono ingiustificati.

20/09/2024: Frittura indecente, forse perchè dovevano chiudere a hanno dato fondo al pesce surgelato rimasto. Il menù MISERO, si può scegliere tra poche cose. L'insalata di mare non c'è, dicono loro per il fermo biologico, ma altri ristoranti la trovi e buonissima! Forse solo loro lavorano l'insalata di mare fatta con pesce fresco! :))) In due abbiamo mangiato poche cose e tutte cattive e sul conto di 70 euro ci hanno fatto 2 euro di sconto NO ricevuta fiscale. Pietanze servite su contenitori di cartone, tutte.

27/08/2024: Bagno normale, avrebbe un bel potenziale se migliorasse un paio di cose la doccia non è pensabile che sia a pagamento sia la fredda che la calda. Buono il servizio animazione con ragazze gentili e non invadenti. Inoltre se si dà l'accesso ai cani idem andrebbero fornite ciotole sacchetti x bisogni ma questo è un suggerimento x distinguersi so bene che in Abruzzo gli stabilimenti balneari non hanno questi servizi c'è di positivo che non fanno infatti pagare alcun supplemento x i cani.

22/11/2024: The romantic candlelit dinner on 11/21/2024 was absolutely rejected on all fronts. ABSURD price for: a mini platter of mini-mini portions of cheese, a cold meatball, mini portion of semifreddo pappardelle and mini portion of meat with 2 potatoes, obviously cold. Mini portion of tiramisu in a "chocolate" ball. Even brought cold red wine from the fridge with an ice bucket. Unfortunately there wasn't even the music at a very high volume and at times loud as if we were in an amphitheatre. I ran away with a headache. Unfortunately, everything was a surprise from my partner and I had to suffer it. I strongly advise against these types of pre-planned evenings because we all know how they work. I must say that we had already been to this restaurant for dinner, with an à la carte menu, and we had eaten very well in a very beautiful and comfortable environment. I wouldn't take part in an evening like this again even if they paid me.

It would be better to book it because they work much more with the take-away formula upon reservation: the tables placed outside on the veranda are few to accommodate all the customers who serve themselves here.

18/10/2024: One of the very few restaurants found open in October in the area. I really appreciated the food, all excellent, and the hospitality of the owner. Wonderful view of the sea and a new, well-kept place. I would happily go back!
