20/01/2026: I can't say enough about the owners, who are so kind. Luigi is truly a great chef, he knows how to bring a refined soul to the dishes he prepares. We had lunch at Cervo for my son's baptism and everything was sublime, not least the welcoming atmosphere of the new rustic restaurant, which perfectly complements the stunning views from outside. It wasn't your average lunch, it was a memorable experience.

19/02/2026: Superlative restaurant, truly generous portions and definitely not designed for just one person, so be careful when ordering. Try the starters and meat dishes; the bruschetta is also excellent.
18/02/2026: You can eat as much as you want. It's a true restaurant for lovers of traditional Abruzzo cuisine.

The cacio e ovo meatballs were delicious, but the truffle gnocchi were bland with a mismatched sauce; they really could have been better. I don't think I'll return. Maybe I'll give it a second try to see if I've been disappointed, given the other reviews.

20/01/2026: New Year's Eve 2025
On the day marking the end of 2025, we welcomed in the New Year with dinner at this farmhouse surrounded by nature.
It's not a given that in Abruzzo you'll find such a friendly owner and staff, making you feel at home in a setting that's both intimate and familiar.
Every course, from appetizer to dessert, exceeded expectations and was a real discovery, even for those of us who know this region well. The dishes were excellent, plentiful, and authentic. It was very kind of them to bring sparkling wine to each table to celebrate.
But I'd like to emphasize even more the kindness of the staff, who accommodated our every request, always with a big smile and a genuine approach—a truly rare thing these days. We sincerely thank you for hosting us. Thank you.
18/01/2026: Unfortunately, it was a negative experience. The cured meat appetizer was nothing special. The cheese and egg balls were basically just bread, with very little cheese, and the sauce was washed out and flavorless. The ravioli were decent, but the sauce was completely bland.
The meat was adequate. We ordered 10 arrosticini, but we noticed that four had been taken from another table: once served, they were dry and burned.
The dessert, an apple tart, had only four pieces of apple and was stringy and very heavy—really not good.
Overall, little respect for the dishes and the customers. The price was completely out of proportion for the quality offered. Not recommended.

06/01/2026: Everything was beautiful and super cozy.
I had kindly asked for a dessert in the room because it was my boyfriend's birthday, and they obliged. 😍
The only thing I'm saying is that the double bed, with two single beds pushed together, is a bit uncomfortable; one of them ends up in the middle of the bed if it moves too much. 😂
I'd add a Smart TV, but otherwise, everything was beautiful. The mountain view was wonderful, it was a shame to leave.
01/01/2026: The hotel is in a great location, and although it's truly dated—especially the rooms—it has everything you need. The staff, especially the owner, is very friendly and helpful.
There are a few things we didn't like:
* Two nights for two with breakfast and New Year's Eve dinner cost a whopping €650 (quite a lot for a 3-star hotel), but the sauna and Turkish bath are available for a fee (€30 per person!).
* Even on January 1st, you have to vacate your room by 10:30 (no flexibility for those who attended the New Year's Eve dinner).
* At New Year's Eve dinner, some dishes arrived cold, which is understandable with so many people, but still a shame.

22/02/2026: The food is good, but not top-notch, considering that in Abruzzo, and especially in that area, there are many good and characteristic options. The atmosphere is very beautiful, as is the view. The staff is very friendly, but it's a shame they're not organized. We were among the first to arrive, with only a few tables left. They took our order right away, but we were served last. After an hour and a half, they brought us the starters, which were still very good. I recommend organizing the service and optimizing your time. Otherwise, nothing to complain about. Good.
17/12/2025: Typical mountain trattoria location, very nice and clean. Decent food with small portions, from the starter and main course to the side dishes. Prices are above average for the quantity. Based on the reviews I read before booking, I expected a larger portion and a slightly lower price.

02/01/2026: Small but comfortable rooms and very comfortable beds. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location is EXCEPTIONAL! (It's right in the center of Caramanico Terme.) Step outside the hotel and you'll find yourself in front of Christmas markets full of surprises: souvenirs, food (sweet/savory), and drinks (alcoholic/non-alcoholic).
Everything was excellent.
My rating for this hotel/B&B is
4/5 (overall average: 3/5 - 5/5 - 5/5).
Thank you for your time over the past few days. I hope to return and I hope you receive more reviews like this.

Ristorante B&B Camping da Rondinella

03/10/2025: We (sadly) returned to this exceptional privately run campsite for the second time in six years. It's quiet, with no road noise. At night, you can hear wolves howling or deer bellowing. The site is flat and wooded. Almost every pitch has an outdoor sink. Electricity is available. The bathrooms and showers are basic but clean. Anyone staying here in Abruzzo shouldn't miss Nicola's delicious cuisine. We'll definitely be back.
19/09/2025: Campsite nestled between Caramanico Terme and the Maiella. We stayed five nights in a tent. The pitch was well-organized with electricity and a sink, and clean bathrooms were just steps away. The restaurant was also excellent. It was a unique experience to hear the deer bellowing at night. If you're in the area, it definitely offers a great base for exploring the surrounding area.

11/12/2025: The beautiful gazebo overlooking the valley 🌄 is eye-catching, and a hot polenta is a must-try on a cool winter day ❄️.
Various types of beer 🍺, there's something for everyone. The meatballs 🧆 and polenta 🥘 are not bad, although it must be said that the sausage in the photo on the menu actually turns into two small pieces on the plate 🤏.
Prices are more or less in line (but the sausage cries out 😑).
26/11/2025: We stopped here in August. Unfortunately, due to the terrible weather, we couldn't enjoy the splendid view, but we consoled ourselves with some excellent craft beers, so good we even bought some to take home. Debora and the guy who was with her were very kind and helpful. The atmosphere is simple and informal, and in addition to the excellent beer, we also had a wonderful meal. I highly recommend it!

05/01/2025: Siamo stati a cena in questo locale. Location curata nei minimi dettagli, accoglienza e disponibilità del personale ottima, molto attenti ad esaudire ogni nostra richiesta. Passando poi al pezzo forte: ottima qualità dei piatti, preparati con molta cura e attenzione usando materie prime selezionate accuratamente. Posto Consigliato vivamente agli amanti della buona carne. Toppppp.

01/12/2024: Siamo stati in famiglia in occasione dei mercatini natalizi a Caramanico.
Abbiamo notato fin da subito i prezzi molto elevati nel menù,
Tagliere per due di salumi (18 euro)
Tagliatelle al cervo (18euro)
Arrosto misto con una costata, 3 costatine di agnello e 10 arrosticini (47euro, imbarazzante)
La qualità è discreta/buona ma i prezzi sono veramente esagerati.
Per non considerare i tempi biblici nel pagare. Basta pensare che abbiamo impiegato più tempo per pagare che mangiare.
Unica nota positiva la disponibilità da parte di tutto il personale.
Mi spiace, ma il costo così elevato non è assolutamente giustificato

02/12/2025: Good morning, a review is a must in these cases! Where to start... We were greeted by a man and his daughter, very pleasant people, so much so that after a three-hour drive and being tired, we enjoyed chatting with them for a while.
Purpose of the trip: hiking, and what can I say? The place is located a two-minute walk from the start of the trails, which are stunning, and just as many minutes from the center of Caramanico Terme, which, in preparation for the holidays, offers a lovely Christmas market and a lovely atmosphere.
We stayed in the suite, which offered all the comforts we needed for one night. Breakfast is not included in the price of the overnight stay, but the price is still fair considering the quality of the facility and the richness of the buffet. Overall, a place we highly recommend.
