20/05/2025: Excellent fresh fish and a good choice of dishes: I went a little early and they were still setting up the counter but the fish already on display had just been cooked and was all very inviting. I had an excellent fish salad (made with fresh vegetables), stuffed cuttlefish with a side of courgettes and some very tender fish skewers, spending just over €20 for two people. Even though I ate after about 2 hours, everything was excellent👍👍👍👍

26/06/2025: In this old bar, a great job has been done by the new owner, he has managed with professionalism and wisdom to get back on his feet a place open to the public where no one has entered for years.... in the village there were many skeptics, but at Il gusto della vita everything has changed and the quality of the products is not up for discussion, a piece of advice to the staff.... keep it up

Super friendly staff. We sat outside in pleasant temperatures. All in all, a place to return to.

07/08/2025: I ate here last night with my partner and the dogs, and I have to say everything was truly excellent, from the service to the food. I'd say the value for money was more than excellent, considering we ate an appetizer, two first courses, two second courses, and two desserts, plus white wine and water, for just €100. We were very satisfied, and if we were to return, we'd definitely stop at this simple yet warm and welcoming restaurant.

A place recommended to us by the host we stayed at.
A pleasant discovery.
Even though there were quite a few people in the place
(tourists or locals for a village festival), the service was fast.
Pizzas, focaccias, calzones, and arrosticini are the house specialties.
The pizza (I chose a buffalo mozzarella), although small (but I assure you... it's filling!), was really good.
Well-leavened, dry, crispy bread.
Good quality tomato and mozzarella.
If I can find a flaw...
Desserts... tiramisu is the only one on the menu.
But... we were there for the pizza!
And that met everyone's expectations.
Ditto the arrosticini.

Having arrived on time, I opened the pizza box (a margherita) and I was presented with a pizza with a look that is now considered unusual nowadays...Well, I found an almost non-existent and slightly burnt crust, I started to eat it and, like the good nostalgic that I am, I enjoyed it, a classic scrocchiarella pizza with a flavor that took me back to the 90s, when I was a child and dad took the whole family to the pizzeria. Really good, without frills and with lots of substance. Then it's the turn of the french fries, a classic cut of frozen ones in a bag, no peel, no double frying or particular shape, in short, the classic home fries soaked in the heat inside the foil but always pleasant to eat. The unexpected presence of two sachets of Heinz ketchup and mayonnaise sauces was appreciated, for which nowadays many would charge you more than €0.50 each and instead here they arrived for free. Thanks for this step back in time. I'll tidy up.
