27/10/2025: A small but welcoming inn serving traditional dishes. The staff is kind, friendly, and passionate about their work. The owner took great care to explain all the dishes and the flours she uses. Even the main courses were limited, but characteristic yet delicious. We felt pampered.
A wonderful discovery.
18/10/2025: A pleasant surprise for the welcome and the excellent food. Kudos to the owner, Marianna, because with her friendliness and helpfulness, she manages to combine professionalism and a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!

11/11/2025: Vegans take note! I had a beautiful dining experience at Civico 20. I was greeted like family during a very busy time when I did not have a reservation. I dined outside with a beautiful view of the castle and mountains. They have several delicious vegan options on the menu. Warm bread and fresh olive oil for dipping started the meal. I had the Peasant’s Soup for antipasto. It was a warm and delicious stew. I then had the Rintrocili pasta dish which was pasta and mushrooms cooked to perfection in a truffle cream sauce. I had no room for dessert but they even have vegan dessert options. I highly recommend a visit to this restaurant (whether you’re vegan or not). It was the perfect ending to my castle visit. Thank you Valentina and Nico!
03/11/2025: Terrible experience. Upon arrival, the waiter showed us our table without even showing us around. From the moment we ordered, we waited an hour and a half without even getting the requested entrees, and all this without the slightest apology from the staff.
Another sore point: between each customer, the tables are cleaned with a duster and the tablecloths are not replaced.
Following your response, I inform you that we called 40 minutes before arriving; when we arrived, many tables were still empty. Your precious olive oil had not been touched at all, and yes, we ate bread and drank water.
We ordered three different entrees, not five, as you claimed.
We didn't order appetizers. Is that mandatory? If you had informed us of the difficulties you were having, we wouldn't have ordered entrees, but rather something else. Furthermore, you were signaled to you several times, but you never approached our table.
Before leaving, my husband came into the restaurant to pay for our order.
There are no photos, but can you tell me what I should have photographed?
I understand that a negative review is annoying, and your response, dear restaurateur, speaks for itself.

L'Alveare

23/02/2025: Consiglio a chiunque voglia assaporare delle prelibatezze di andare da Cosimo e il suo splendido staff.
L'alveare offre davvero una carrellata di sapori estasianti.
Degli antipasti che vanno dalle classiche pallotte "cacio e ove" alla particolarità di mousse di ricotta e selezione di formaggi accompagnati da miele particolare e confetture davvero eccezionali.
Ci hanno proposto delle pappardelle condite con una crema di ricotta e peperone giallo, davvero paradisiache!
Ottimo anche il dolce, una torta di pizzelle con crema chantilly e mascarpone, delicata e molto molto buona.
Piatti abbondanti e gustosi, ambiente accogliente, familiare e soprattutto, pulito!
Consiglio davvero a chiunque, io sono certa che ci torneremo!!!
10/02/2025: L'Alveare a Roccascalegna è una ... meraviglia! Un locale dove una eccellente cucina regionale si sposa alla ospitalità amabile offerta dal titolare Cosmo e dal suo staff. Dire che in questo ristorante "ci si sente come a casa propria" sarebbe riduttivo : in verità, io mi sento di sostenere che a L'Alveare ci si accomoda nella più confortevole, accogliente, caratteristica "sala da pranzo" di tutto l'Abruzzo. E poi si inizia con ... gli antipasti ... salumi, formaggi, conserve sott'olio, tutti con squisiti e originali abbinamenti tra note salate e dolci. Vorrei, tra l'altro, sottolineare un piatto "potente" - che forse anche il grande D'Annunzio avrebbe apprezzato! - la salsiccia di fegato, sminuzzata con altre frattaglie, e ripassata in padella con l'uovo. Provatela e ... vi sentirete all'improvviso sulla vetta del gusto e ... della Majella! E poi una polenta con gorgonzola e funghi che lascia incantati! E le "meraviglie" continuano ancora tra primi (pasta casareccia con crema di peperoni e ricotta, ravioli con sughetto di zucca) e secondi (agnello alla brace, filetto di maiale alle erbe), il cui ricordo non svanirà mai sul mio palato.
Concludo osservando che L'Alveare è nome azzeccatissimo per questo agriturismo - ristorante ... qui, infatti, si appronta una gastronomia abruzzese che è un vero e proprio "nettare" !!!

02/01/2025: Un antico forno con tanti prodotti tipici. Abbiamo assaggiato il pane porchettato, le focacce, i dolci e la pizza. I prodotti erano buoni ma non eccezionali. I prezzi un po' alto, soprattutto il pane porchettato, 16.50 euro per 4 fette di pane porchettato è davvero troppo.
